I’ve been here a couple of times with my family & both times have been excellent! The owner is SO nice & talked to us for a while the first time we came in, giving us as many samples as we wanted & loading our scoops high. Same thing the second time — they treat you right here. The ice cream is delicious too! The ube(taro) flavor is definitely my favorite. The root beer float is also SO good. They have really good fruit flavors too, like peach, pineapple, etc. This place is definitely worth going to! Love to support small businesses that treat you well!

Wow what a special place. I’ve had Andrews ice cream quite a bit, and I always regret not getting the biggest size. So it was about 9:23pm and I was passing by and thought«Andrews is rite here I better stop». So I noticed they close at 9pm, but noticed the door open so i peeked in, thank the Lord jesus lol jk she said«well we are technically closed but I’ll serve you some Ice cream come on inn». I was blown away at the service and attitude of what I imagined we’re the owners, then learning the story behind the name. Such a great experience I wish I had grandparents like you growing up, I never knew mine. Anyways don’t think twice about dessert ever again Andrews should be 1st Choice! Literally blew my mind with the blueberry banna cheese cake.

Great little family owned and operated ice cream shop! I brought my car to the Toyota dealership next door and I walked over to kill time and grab ice cream. This will now become my routine for every tune up! They mix the ice cream individually which means some batches may be better at different times. They’re peanut butter one is delish!

Flavor selection is not that great in my opinion. However, the ice cream is very creamy!

Very cute Mom n Pop ice cream shop, delicious(all natural too I think?) home made ice cream. The place is full of positive vibes and pleasant staff. My fave is chocolate therapy!

Great ice cream and great service. Very nice staff. I like the chocolate. Strawberry is great too. Parking lot is convenient. It’s about 3 dollars an ice cream. I have been there 3 times and didn’t get disappointed not even once. A message to the owner: First let me thank you for defending American values. I’m a Muslim and I’m not talking here about you defending Muslims. We are talking about defending freedom, defending what America stands for. Standing up for each other regardless who we are or where we came from or how much money we have. You got me as a customer for life and very soon me and the family will be there enjoying your ice cream. PEACE, LOVE&GODBLESSUSA

I’ve stopped by Andrews Ice Cream shop once or twice. Great flavors, very clean establishment, and great customer service. I wanted to say kudos to the shop owner standing up against a Xenophobic bigot(trump supporter) who threatened and made derogatory comments against two female customers who were wearing hijabs. I hope everyone has a chance to stop by Andrews Ice Cream and grab a scoop or two!

Arrived a little early down in Orange when getting my car service and planned on stopping at 5 Guys when I saw the«homemade ice cream» sign and had to stop by. The atmosphere is open, super homey and personal, and just great and the guy that helped me was super sweet! I tried the lemon curd which was super lemony and creamy. I ended up getting the coconut fudge which was glorious! Super creamy and lots of shredded coconut and fudgey bits. It had a great smooth and soft texture and was clearly fresh(he ended up mentioning with was made the night before) and made with skill and love! The prices were great for the sizes and I can’t wait to come back and try some more! Love, love, love!

Bravo to Andrew’s ice cream for standing up to racists! I read the HuffPost article and I was so proud to see our own local Andrew’s ice cream praised for kicking out a bigoted customer. That’s a true American. I actually have been here a few times and I love their ice cream! There’s a great selection of fun flavors. The texture is rich and creamy. And the last time I was here the people that helped us were so sweet. This business cares about its customers!

Had no idea this amazing ice cream place I visited last year is run by owners of such character. Kudos for standing up against racism. Oh, and I recommend the salted Carmel Apple. Though, they are pretty generous about letting you sample — find your favorite!

Seems like everyone loves this place, but I thought it was just okay. The ice cream flavors were average and wasn’t as rich as I thought it would be. Nice place if you’re a local, but, besides my initial visit here, I wouldn’t drive out of my way for this place.

Great little ice cream joint! Dr. Seuss books are off the chaaaaaaain! There was definitely a wocket in my pocket after eating this ice cream. Very casual and endearing vibe with friendly owners who will spoon you as much as you like. If you’re feeling blue, MLK and JFK will inspire you from the walls as you eat away your feelings. I have a dream that by the end of this decade I’ll successfully gain 50 lbs eating ice cream from this place. The Speculoos flavor tastes like a drop of heaven, carried down from the skies by an angel riding on a rainbow-colored unicorn. After the Soeculoos hallucination I underwent ‘chocolate therapy’ to convince myself that I’m not crazy!

Absolutely amazing! This place has the best vibes and the flavors are to die for. Everything is home made and the man who runs this place is an absolute sweetheart. If you love ice cream, definitely come here.

Who would have ever thought that this not-so-glamorous-looking ice cream shop turns out to be one of the best old fashioned ice creams I’ve had in Orange County? Andrew’s Ice Cream is just as good as Handel’s Ice Cream … and possibly even better! After I walked into the store, first thing I saw is a table with a collection of Dr. Seuss books. The old gentleman(I believe he’s the owner) was very friendly and all ice cream samples were very good. You can call ahead to check on flavors because the owner rotates various flavors on a daily basis. Price: $ 3 for mini(you can get up to two flavors), $ 4.50 for small, $ 6 for medium, and $ 7 for large. Cookies, brownies, banana splits, sundaes, and shakes are also available. Flavors(during my visit): Black walnut, dark chocolate peanut butter, root beer, rum raisin, piña colada, coconut fudge, Speculoos, coffee, coffee heath bar crunch, reindeer tracks, Butterfinger, butter pecan, salty caramel apple, mocha almond fudge, chocolate therapy, chocolate malted crunch, rasberry chocolate swirl, homemade apple pie, bubble gum, cotton candy, ube(taro), B-52 mudslide, Chunky Monkey, chocolate chip, cookies ‘n’ crème, lemon curd, vanilla bean, pistachio gelato, blackberry gelato, hazelnut Nutella, Dave’s maple walnut, and horchata. *** Black walnut and Dave’s maple walnut(Small, $ 4.50): Both had mind-blowingly good texture — very smooth yet firm at the same time. Black walnut tasted a bit more like sorbet(with slightly slushy texture) and maple walnut was a bit more creamy. *** I think this is pretty much a must visit ice cream shop & worth a detour if you are anywhere near the Angel Stadium or Disneyland(only less than 10 miles away from both locations). Huge selection, reasonable price, friendly service, easy parking, and tasty ice creams — absolutely 5-star in my book.

Thanks Ryan! Great little place. Parking lot is a mess & so is traffic around there but if you get there. Lots of choices & you can sample. The little man was so nice & kind. I tried coffee Heath bar, salted Carmel Apple, & I settled for lemon curd! Yum yum! There were many more choices I would have loved to try! Mini $ 3, small was $ 4& up. I got a mini which was a good size! I’ll be back!

What I really like about this place is that it’s so warm and welcoming. Right off the bat, I noticed quotes from MLK, JFK, and the Bible. :)(1 Corinthians 13:4−7) There were also a lot of Dr. Seuss books, books that seem deep and profound, and puzzles which I believe you can work on at one of the tables. I tried three flavors: chunky monkey, taro(it was more taro than ube), and blueberry banana cheesecake. I ended up going with the cheesecake since it was definitely better than the other two. It happened to be really smooth and I liked how there were three distinct flavors going in one, but none of them over powering the others. You pretty much hit all three notes at the same time and finish at the same time! The owner seemed really nice as well. His character matched the surrounding ambiance that he is trying to put out, and that’s hard to do sometimes. I feel like in some places, they have the décor saying one thing but the personality of the workers say another. Not this place. I really do have to come back here to try other flavors! It won’t be so hard since it’s right next to my church!

Love this place. I’m seriously craving it as I write this. Literally had the best cotton candy ice cream I’ve ever tasted and blue berry cheese cake. Located right next to 5 Guys or Across from Chase Bank in the corner with ample parking space. I got a mini(2 flavors) she packed it! I tried their Taro(it was okay), but once I tried the cotton candy I had to have it. The blue berry cheese cake came second. I was too ashamed to ask for more samples. Try the cotton candy if you ever get the chance, it’s not as sweet as real cotton candy but it’s definitely close. Their pricing is simple 3 dollars for a mini. I paid cash to hopefully help keep their expenses low so they don’t have to raise the price! Will be definitely back for more!

Some flavors I tried were amazingly creamy but one was a big failure, but LOVE can conquer all !!! As you already know, the history of the business was to start an ice cream shop for their grandson named Andrew. B-52 mudslide 5 stars grape 5 stars butter pecan 1 star Small $ 4, I picked 2 flavors. As Van D wrote in her review, B-52 is the combination of Baileys and Kahlua and she loved it. Me and my friend both ordered it and It’s super creamy and the flavor is strong, if you like Irish Cream kind flavor you def would love it. On the other hand, Butter pecan has good flavor and has balanced out the super sweet of the B-52.(B-52 is super super sweet, usually I don’t like anything that sweet but the flavor is just addicting) However, Butter Pecan has crystallized texture, like little icy, which made it the worst ice cream ever. My friend’s Grape flavor tastes very refreshing, light but still has a good grape flavor and in a less creamy texture. The owner, who is the grandpa apparently, was very nice with a bright smile was making ice cream in the back, We heard someone called Andrew and saw the little kid but back then we were not sure Andrew is the name of their grandson. Not a fancy shop, small, so it could get packed. We waited a bit since people in front of us were trying samples. I found it odd they use metal spoon for samples instead of the plastic ones. I also found it doesn’t seem efficient to go to the back and grab just one spoon for me when apparently they ran out of them at the register. They offer self served water near the entrance. I don’t have sweet tooth so eating ice cream is just ONCEIN A BLUEMOON but will want to come back try more flavors. Their ice cream SURPRISED me, in a good way.

I had Andrew’s Ice Cream bookmarked for the longest. I really have no excuse as to why I hadn’t tried Andrew’s before. I went to high school in the area for goodness sakes. Anyways I was able to convince Van D. to come through here for dessert since it was so close by. The store itself isn’t too big but its very nice and clean though I kinda wish there was a trash can available. There’s about 2 – 3 tables available to hang out. The service was super friendly and sweet. I ordered their green tea ice cream though if I wasn’t so full I probably would have gotten a second scoop of cookies & cream. Next time. The green tea was pretty good. It tasted like green tea ice cream should. I asked for one small scoop but the girl was super generous and gave me a super large scoop which didn’t help my already full blown stomach. Overall it was kinda how I figured it to be, great ice cream but nothing too spectacular. I’ll definitely return here more often whenever I’m in dire need of ice cream which is often. I mean what is life without ice cream. PS they offer samples PPS Sugar Cones FTW PPPS very very creamy ice cream

I’m reviewing two dessert places back to back(: Wheeee. So Andrew’s Ice Cream is this place right next to Five Guys [Follow the signs that say Five Guys and you’ll find it. don’t be like me… I drove all the way to H2Snow on the OTHERSIDEOFTHEPLAZA and I was like HUH] What did I get? The B 52 Mudslide– the people before me in line all got it. Van D in her review said get it. So Raymond got it! I tasted rum which I felt weird, because I didn’t expect it(yeah I didn’t ask). It apparently is kahlua and Baileys. Huh. Well something new everyday. It has a chocolate rum flavor, sweet as well. You’ll love it, you’ll LOVEIT! The cookies n cream– you can actually SEE and TASTE cookie here(: That’s always a huge plus and that’s what makes it even better. The guy behind the counter said that it’s the most popular: D They also had. WAITFORIT PEPPERMINTGINGERSNAP. OHYES. No peppermint from candy canes, no. But the peppermint brings about a CHILL that you shall LOVEERMAGAWD. They have medium for $ 4, and you can do cup or cone.(no additional charges). I got the waffle cone, but it was not crunchy :( Not gonna stop that from giving it a solid 5 though– the ice cream is that good. And they handmake most of them(: And get as many samples as you need– they’re frozen and decent size sample spoons too. COLDSPOONS, GREATICECREAM, what’s not to love? Only one person in the back so it might take a while to get your ice cream. Oh and obligatory Van being my senpai for a) writing a review for this place and me going here and b) her suggestions 10 out of 10 would come again :)
