Not sure what this place is but looks really shady. I drove up for a smog check, asked is they had time for one, the guy looked around confused, then not saying anything handed me a clipboard to fill out and walked away. I left and went to smog pro on Tustin and Collins.

I was going through my mail last weekend and realized I never paid my registration on my Ford Explorer. Of course it needed to be smogged. I hopped on Unilocal and found this place was opened on Sundays. I called and there was no wait. He had me in and out of there in 15 minutes. Awesome. It cost me $ 60. as I forgot to print out the online coupon. But worth my time to get it done. Then it was off to the AAA office to get my tags. If you are in a pinch on the weekend. AD Smog will get it done.

I called this smog location after seeing their coupon in the Pennysaver thinking it was Landin’s AD Smog & Lube on East Chapman. I wanted to make sure the coupon was valid. They claimed to be the same owners of the other location. Thankfully I looked at the location again before going and realized it wasn’t. I went to the RIGHT location, with Raul, on East Chapman and found out they are not the same owners. I could not believe how unethical it was for AD Smog Only to LIE about their affiliation just to get business. I would never give this place my hard earned money. If I could give this place zero stars I would for their dishonesty and attempt to use Landin’s AD Smog & Lube’s good name.

This is a smog station behind the Shell’s gas station. They are star certified and open on Sunday for smog checks. Pleasant experience, will return.

If a business advertises their hours as 8:00 PM-6:00 PM on the Internet, in the Pennysaver, and their storefront, then why was I turned away at 5:40 PM?

I went to where I get most of my auto repairs done for a smog check since it is in the same building. I printed a coupon from the Pennysaver website for a discounted smog. Nowhere on the coupon does it say SUV’s are extra.
I met with Jose and he didn’t recognize the coupon I brought in. It clearly says it is printed from the Pennysaver. He then says SUV’s are $ 10 extra. I explained that the coupon does not say that. Now, I know it is only $ 10 but at some point truth in advertising has to mean something. Jose obviously couldn’t make a smart customer service decision then correct the coupon error later. So I left and am leaving negative feedback for the smog station only and filing a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. I will still use the car repair shop at VP Shell.

You want to stay away from this shop. The penny-​saver coupon is the bait. This guy speaks little to no English. The large fan is there to help keep your engine cool while he revs it up for the machine. He doesn’t use it as he should. He should put it next to the front of your car. But he is too lazy to move it. So he overheats your engine unnecessarily.
After he fails you-(and he will fail you) he gets all uppity when you ask him to explain why it failed. It might be because his English is so bad that he can’t tell you and he’s embarrassed at his inability to even communicate at the level of a four year old. Save your 31.00 dollars and go anyplace else. Don’t waste your time to have him fail and possibly damage your car.

Dennis is fast and honest. I have used him for all of our cars for years now. Don’t hesitate to have him smog your car. Now that he is behind the Shell station, you can sit down in the shade, relax, and have a Snickers bar while you wait.

I wish I knew about this place sooner. Not only are they cheaper than everyone else (you can get their coupon in the Pennysaver or from their website), but there is rarely any wait because they are test only.
