I’ve been coming here for years. My group of friends main hang out. Desiree is the best bartender there! Food is usually pretty good. Nicole is an amazing waitress.

I came here for the salad bar because I remember Charlie Browns having baller salad bars… my memory is either really off or this location just sucks but the salad bar was reallllyyyy small. Bummer. I did an add on to the salad bar and got the chili(I think it was only a buck extra which is a good deal). The chili was decent, came with a small side of sour cream and a pack of crackers. I’ve had better chili but definitely could of had worse so I cant complain. The service was atrocious and is my main reason for probably never coming back here. It’s not even worth going into details but the service was very poor and it wasn’t even busy, so there’s really no excuse.

Overall, this place was not that great. The hostess was friendly, but the waiter was not very attentive. The food was mediocre. Basically, we could have saved money and had a better meal by staying home. Finally, the facility is not in good condition. It needs a major renovation. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Before I moved to NYC a few years ago, I would sometimes come for wings and beer with friends to watch football. So when I was visiting home and wanting wings for football, I decided to get the wings. Maybe the difference was it was a carry out order, but these weren’t the wings I remembered. These looked, and tasted, as if they were under a heat lamp waiting for us to pick them up. They were dry, lacked buffalo flavor, and just didn’t fix my craving for wings. I feel like I’m a blue cheese addict but even the extra blue cheese couldn’t get down the last few wings I had to throw out. I don’t plan on visiting next time I’m home and wanting wings.

Carry out order so take it for what it’s worth. Ordered wings and spinach artichoke dip. Both were cold. Wings were dry and texture was as if they’d been sitting under a heat lamp all day. I wish had taken a photo of the dip, it looked like a tube of Elmer’s glue mixed with canned spinach. Only positive note was that they gave us a lot of ranch and bleu cheese which we requested. Some weird sauce came with the wings which I assumed was the buffalo sauce since there wasn’t any to be seen on the actual wings, tasted like sweet and sour sauce or something but I ruined a batch of wings by pouring it on top. Celery was the best part of our meal.

I really like this Charlie Browns my mom and I come here when after we get our nails done sometimes. I have never had a problem here before and today when I checked in I got a free appetizer of the popcorn shrimp with chipotle sauce which was AWESOME! My mom got pieroggis and I got a chicken sandwich with mash Potatoes which I love from here. To finish our big lunch off we got a smashed apple pie. Sounds weird but delicious. We had a good waitress she was very fast with service and nice. Definitely will be back here again!

Great place for lunch and dinner. They offer a nice value of their salad bar and meals. Not too many places offer salad bars these days or ones with unlimited trips offered. We recently went for lunch and the waitstaff was nice and friendly. While you cannot compare this to Peter Lugar’s in NY, their steaks are good and their prices are reasonable. They have a very quiet lunch business so if you want a table right away at lunch this is a great place to go.

The seats are taped, a fly was flying around the salad bar, and the garlic crusted steak was just sprinkled with breadcrumbs. The one in Washington Township is sooo much better! Can’t believe the difference at two locations,.

Food is consistently good. Take-out or eat in and the salad bar is clean. It’s not 5 star dining but for good food for a low prices and nice local atmosphere, this is the place!

A wonderful, inexpensive steak house with a terrific salad bar and excellent non-beef alternatives. The wings and NY strip are my personal favorites, but the prime rib is their signature dish and is wonderful, too. They’ve added some lightened-up sides in recent years which will offset your indulgence in a Charlie Brownie sundae.

My wife and I dropped by on a Saturday around 4:30. Great we thought. Not too busy, not loud. We were in the mood for a good steak and a nice IPA. We were seated immediately by the manager and he pointed out the specials. Great it’s slow and we will have a nice meal and get served quick. Wrong! We were completely ignored by the wait staff. For 20 minutes we sat there in a slow restaurant with zero acknowledgement from the waitress. After that wait the manager saw we weren’t being helped so he took our order mentioning the waitress was too busy to come over. What a red flag! At no point did the waitress even introduce herself or apologize for being busy elsewhere. She never came by after the manager took our order, to check on us if we needed anything, to introduce herself as our server or to even apologize. So we ordered the 8 oz ny strip with the manager. The only time the waitress came around was when we asked the runner if my crab cake was coming out and she walked by and said«yeah, I saw it on the heating rack.» I’m thinking you saw it and couldn’t bring it out? When the food finally came out the steak was well– mediocre at best. Tasted like a cheap cut of beef with a side of skimpy dry overcooked frozen fries and no ketchup. At no time did the waitress come by after that. During that time only the manager came by and checked on us. Again at no point did the waitress even apologize for not helping or bothered to ask if we needed anything. We basically only dealt with her to ask for the check in passing before we even took a bite since i didn’t think I’d see her again. When we paid, she even had the nerve to ask if we wanted to enroll in the rewards card. No I don’t think we will need that as we will not come back again. I give this place less than a year before this chain goes the way of Friendlie’s– gone! The other reviewers were right. It’s on the decline. What bothers me is for what we paid we could have gone to a much better place and had far better service. For two entrees an 3 beers it came to 75.00. Not worth it!

Charlie Brown’s is a chain but with a local feel. The food is like many other chains… there are good items and others that could be improved. I feel like sometimes the specials are a little over priced but everything else seems to be on point. They frequently change their menu and offer seasonal entrees that are rather good. I’ve been frequenting the restaurant for almost 10 years now and I have seen significant improvement in the areas of service, food quality and ambiance. They have drink specials in the bar and have started hosting live music events once a month in the lounge. Keep up the good work CB’s.

We have been coming to this Charlie Browns for a few years now for lunch and have always had excellent service and good food. A special note should be made to the manager Dave who is always so pleasant and if u ask he will even tell you a funny joke. Our waitress Janilyn whom we all like very much is the best and always makes our dining adventure so very nice. Also my dad who is 93 years young loves it here. The salad bar is the best mmmmm. I hope this review was helpful.

I’d give this place a zero if I could. I was here a year ago and it seemed as if they were on the verge of shutting down. The place was definitely in decline then. I went there last week around 9pm on a Friday night. The place was not busy and we were seated right away. There were specials on the board but no descriptions. There was stable if ten next to us and their waiter was obnoxiously loud – imagine Dave Putty from Seinfeld… so that was distracting. Our waitress came by and I asked about the beef tips which was one of the specials. She said it was in brown gravy and came with mashed potatoes so I ordered it. We had the salad bar and it had skimpy pickins. I know it was. 9 pm but you are supposed to be known for the salad bar so it should have been refilled. Heck it’s a Friday night! The good took forever to come but I was being entertained by an Elmo cd that was being played for a two year old at the table of ten next to us. This was a joy on top of the awful piped in music and the David Putty loudmouth waiter. Our food arrived but I was sad to see my beef tips smothered in mushrooms and gravy. If the waitress had told me there were mushrooms I would never have ordered this. The beef tasted like dirt because of the fungi and I didn’t eat it. The table behind us had dirty dishes from previous diners and hadn’t been cleaned by the time we left. I briefly entertained speaking to the manager but I figured what was the point? This place is dumpy and I cannot imagine it will remain open much longer. Want a good steak? Go to lonestar steakhouse on 17s.

Never underestimate the allure that frequent dining points and a free salad bar have on the elderly. I have eaten there numerous times, always with my parents. Seems like a lot of people’s parents eat there. The parking lot is crammed with Buicks and Crown Victorias and there never seems to be any available handicapped parking spaces. It’s this demographic that embraces Charlie Browns and, while I have never had an unpleasant experience, it would be a distant choice for me as both food and service are ordinary. Fortunately for them, the same is not true of my father. He loves Charlie Brown’s and so do his friends(well, the old ones at least).

Being still somewhat new to the area, we gave Charlie Brown’s a try this weekend. I have to say I was not expecting such a «chain» vibe. The food was mediocre, portions for the price on the dinners were very high. Felt like all the food was frozen and reheated. It seems like a good place to grab maybe a burger and fries, that’s it. The service was also average at best, empty drinks, long wait for check. May go back only to the bar area for drinks and an appetizer.

Place has been in decline. Got there at 9:45, several of us ordered salad bars. They then proceeded to break down the salad bar at 10:00. In what is supposed to be a service-based industry, this was plain rude. We’ve been regulars for years, but no more. NOTE: This review was from 2011, but was just«Finalized» and was not submitted at the time it was originally written so it bears a later date.

I’ve been eating at Charlie Browns aka Che Browns for quite some time now and I think it’s safe to say I’m a regular for family members birthdays. I have always ordered the same thing each time I go and that’s the Queen cut with salad bar and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. The salad bar here is great they have so many options to choose from which I’m not going to list because I see others have before. The service was a little slow yesterday at this location that I usually don’t go to but it was near my friends house so we just went with what was convenient. I checked in and got a free coupon for a shrimp appetizer which we had already ordered the nachos so I figured we would save it for next time. The nachos were good and my steak could of been better but for the price you can’t really beat it. Minus 2 stars for the overall slow service.

I don’t really understand the bad reviews on here. Compared to a lot of other places around the area Charlie Brown’s menu has a large variety, and very reasonably priced: — Burgers — Sandwiches — Steaks — Meatloaf — Etc The salad bar is full of items besides just salad toppings, which makes it a winner in my book: — Macaroni Salad — Spicy Corn & Bean mix — Cucumber & Red Onion covered in a yogurt sauce — Grilled Zucchini & Onions — Penne Pasta Salad — I could keep going on… Give it a shot for yourself! And they have a really good rewards program too that you may want to sign up for as well.
