This is the best Mexican restaurant around. With recent remodel and patio outside. Looks great. Food is amazing. From the breakfast rudy special to the Thursday night dinner ribeye baked potato and Texas toast. I can’t seem to get enough of it. The servers and cooks show great hospitality. If your looking for a great place to eat and enjoy a authentic home cooked style Mexican meal Casa Rivera is the place.

Bean burrito with cheese. OK. Not bad. Salsa not that great.

Eat here. Trust me. We stopped in for lunch before heading to Biosphere2. There were four of us and two of us ordered platter 10(one cheese enchilada and one ground beef taco) and two ordered platter 5(three shredded beef flautas). All four were happy. The beans: creamy, cheesy goodness. The rice: perfect. The guac: fresh and flavorful. Salsa: spicy. Cheese enchilada: I wish every enchilada I ordered tasted like this. I devoured it. Ground beef taco: the beef was delicious — a big compliment coming from my mom — and I love that the shell was a freshly fried corn tortilla. This was not greasy at all. As we were leaving we passed by two people eating taco salads — the salad shells looked amazing. Bring cash — the gas station across the road has an ATM.

This place is so good after a hard mountain bike ride. Breakfast burrito and 3 chicken tacos hit the spot. To top it all off the best chips and hot sauce.

Best fish tacos around BUT only on Fridays! I prefer my fish grilled, but kids like their fish fried.

I love this place for breakfast. The food is good and hot. Chris, the waiter, is friendly and attentive. Worth the drive to Oracle any day of the week except Saturday when they are closed. Prices just right. They’ll invite you back for Father’s Day 7-course meal… a six pack of cerveza and a burrito. My kind of place.

Like some folks have commented, bring cash or check — they don’t take credit cards. We visited on a Thursday for lunch. Service was over the top — some of the best I have had at any restaurant. The salsas were very good and different, but not so much I would buy some and take it home(BTW, the chips were delicious). I had a Chile Relleno Plate — this is not my favorite style of relleno — too much egg batter — but it was very good. The beans and rice were awesome. I would definitely come back again.

2 important things: 1. Cash only. I can’t complain too much. Credit cards take too much money for people who aren’t the ones earning it. 2. Not open on Saturday. Really a drawback for people coming in from elsewhere(like me). I had the Carne Asada burro enchilada style and I couldn’t finish it. The flavor was good and it was huge. Can’t complain. Service is done by family. Well done. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is they aren’t open on Saturday, but they have a pretty good reason for it(ask them).

Yes this place is a whole in the wall but where else do you get some of the best home cooking food. Stopped here yesterday for lunch after driving in the back country and we were starving. The menu has a good selection and all of it is homemade. I had the #1(see photo) my parents had the #10 and a ala cart green tamale. The red sauce is the best I have had in a long time. The portion won’t let you leave hungry. The price is very reasonable. The service here makes you feel like you are at a friends house, not in a restaurant. Their hours are 6:30 am to 8:30 pm Sunday — Friday and closed on Saturday. Bring cash or check they don’t take credit cards(I can understand with how much they charge per swipe). Good new is the are building a patio this summer for some Arizona dining.

I drove by looking for a place to have breakfast and I saw this place that looks rough outside, but what a great surprise. My Huevos Rancheros were delicious. It is a great family restaurant. I was lucky they were open because they are usually closed on Saturday.

We thought this place would be on our way back to TX from the biosphere 2 so we went to check it out based on the star ratings(we were hungryyy). It was not out of the way, but it was an interesting experience. It’s definitely a hole in the wall & looks iffy on the outside, but the food was pretty good. My bf had the green chile beef combo for about $ 10 – 11 which was pretty good & I had 3 enchiladas for $ 8. I’m not a big fan of red enchilada so I was a bit disappointed. It was slightly salty, but pretty good. I wish I’d tried the giant burritos, didn’t realize they were huge! Had good service & their salsa was pretty good.

Hole in the wall. Drove by it once. Looks like it is closed. Worth the u-turn though. The carne asada is out of this world. Best I have had. Big portions and really good prices. Worth a drive just for the carne asada.

Very good food but the place is a hole in the wall, in the middle of no where but we were hungry and glad they were there only they don’t serve beer or wine, which is a major bummer but we were informed we could bring in our own.

Excellent menudo as well as Mexican potato soup. Beef enchiladas were quite tasty, as were the fall-off-the-bone ribs. Very refreshing home-made horchata. Local crowd and engaging waitress. Reasonably priced, large portions, with a 2nd senior half-priced on Mondays. Home-made chips and salsa adds yet another positive touch to an already great local dining experience.

They serve breakfast until 2PM. The food is more TEXMEX than most place around here. Cheap, plentiful and good. What more can you ask for?

Talk about a ton of food for your money. A breakfast burrito will run you $ 4& change. It is huge! Most will not be able to finish it. Great daily and weekly specials. Get here before noon on Sundays, it fill up quick with locals. Staff couldn’t be more friendly. Family ran business and everyone seems to enjoy being there. For a sit down restaurant, it is ridiculously small. Maybe 10 tables? Not much to it other than it fills your gut for less than $ 8 no matter what you get.
