Food is pretty good. Ribs are kind of salty, but they fall off the bone. ¼ dark chicken was very tender. You’ve gotta try the AL white sauce. Sweet tea is tasty! Ambience is cool. Great date or family night spot!

I used Unilocal in the decision to eat here initially because we were traveling through so figured I would leave my thoughts here after our experience. Maybe it will help someone else’s decision to eat here. First off let me say that the staff were one of the best things about the restaurant. Customer service was very good. We were greeted with smiling faces and friendly staff. They offered suggestions and offered help wherever needed since it was obviously our first time there. When our meal was done, manager was present and asked how everything was. This was nice to see. Food was pretty good. Nothing extremely overwhelming. I enjoyed the sides that I got, the Mac and Cheese and Collards, more than the pulled pork or the moon dog. I enjoyed their«special» chow chow and BBQ sauce. I wish there was a tad more variety as far as sauce goes, but they also had an Alabama white sauce which was quite good. It wasn’t a deal breaker for us. We finished off the meal with a piece of chocolate pie. It was fair at best. Crust was a tad soggy and tasted like chocolate pudding with whip on top. Overall if we were in the area and wanted BBQ we would most likely return.

The number of quality BBQ places in the greater Auburn area has double in the last year. Welcome Full Moon and Jim N Nick’s to the scene. Personally, I think the BBQ scene has seen a major upgrade with the addition of these Alabama based chains. This Full Moon is fairly new and does a great job at delivering friendly service, an upbeat atmosphere and a good place to watch sporting events while digging into meat. Reading some of these views on here makes me chuckle. Unfortunately, many customers(and sadly the ones who like to complain on Unilocal) are out of touch when it comes to the cost of food, what it takes to produce quality BBQ and the added cost of a restaurant in a busy shopping mall. If you take these factors into account Full Moon is fair priced and in line with the competition. Meat isn’t cheap. And, while you might find more affordable BBQ at Jim Bob’s BBQ in the country somewhere it’s not going to have the same quality, atmosphere and quality sides. Full Moon succeeds at several things: offering a wide assortment of entrée items, daily fresh vegetables and quality sides. And, fortunately, they don’t simply serve potato salad, cole slaw and baked beans here. Sure, you can order those, but they also have things like okra, mashed potatoes, steamed cabbage and many others. In short, there’s a side for most folks here and sweet, tasty, cornbread. I’ve been to Full Moon twice. This location once and the one in Dothan and it didn’t take long to get a pulse on the place. Full Moon doesn’t have any meats that will put them in the top 10 in the US(yes, I’ve been to all the places ranked there by many parties), but they do have and endless amount of meats/catfish that are well above average. We couldn’t find anything to complain about and you likely won’t either, unless you are one of those customers who is never satisfied. They farm raised catfish has tons of flavor and a quality breeding, the ribs are good, the turkey is tender and flavorful, the pork tastes great with their red BBQ sauce, the brisket is lean, smokey and isn’t rough in any way. And, while I don’t think it’s their signature item, the half chicken is awesome. Try any of these pair with a sweet tea — and you’ll crave a return next time you’re in the mood for BBQ.

Fast food meets bbq joint with a fairly large menu with many choices. They also have beer on tap, in the bottles and wine too. After going over the menu I got the brisket nachos. They had a good bbq sauce, extremely large serving and all the fixings that would go on nachos. The brisket was moist and full of smokey flavor. I also had the green fried tomatoes and the fried okra. Both were down great and fresh. Downsides to the place my brisket was cold, getting a beer can be a pain and workers not liking their job. Will try the place again.

Everything I don’t want in a BBQ spot. Zero local food feel, confusing menu, bland food and very slow service. Over 15 min wait in our food. When looking for BBQ avoid a chain I’m learning.

The food is decent but extremely expensive! You can get much better BBQ for a third of the price at many other places in town. I don’t expect to return to this location.

Decided to give this new restaurant a try I was sadly disappointed. The food was overpriced, it took a while to be waited on, my order was not correct when I pointed it out to an employee, which I had to yell across the restaurant to get her attention they took my cheeseburger which was missing the cheese back to the kitchen, they put a slice of cheese on it and brought it back out to me. I’ve watched waiting so I wondered what the cook might have rubbed the cheese on. Needless to say I won’t be back.

This place is grossly overpriced. It has been extremely busy since it opened over a week ago, so I was excited to see what the hype was about. The menu is pretty large. They offer pork, beef, chicken, turkey, salads, sandwiches, etc. It’s a counter service restaurant. They bring your food out to your table by screaming out your number and looking for a raised hand. Other than that, it’s self-service. If you need any refills other than tea, you have to get it from behind the main counter. My husband and I both ordered a chopped pork plate, which came with two sides of our choice, a toasted bun, a spoonful of chow-chow and two slices of dill pickles. We both ordered macaroni & cheese and fried okra. Each plate is $ 12.99. Drinks are extra. The meat was tender and had a decent flavor, but I’ve definitely had better at lots of other bbq restaurants. The offerings of bbq sauce and Alabama white sauce on the tables allowed you to inject a little more flavor. The macaroni was pretty bland. The okra was crisp and hot. The toasted bun was warm and buttery, but if I’d wanted a bun, I would’ve ordered a sandwich. The star of the plate was the tablespoon of chow-chow on the side of the meat. It’s crazy good, but if you want any extra, you have to order it as a side item, which costs $ 2.79. So, we had to refill our own drinks and bus our own table when we were done eating. The food was just mediocre. And the bill was over $ 32.00. For those prices, I’d suggest Jim ‘n Nick’s for a full service restaurant and better barbecue!
