This place is a fish market where you can order and have them cook it. The food is always fresh with great taste. I always recommend that you place your order at least 20⁄30 minutes in advance over the phone. The wait can be a bit ridiculous at times. I also had a «flop»(lemonade & sweet tea) and as always it was great.

Poor customer service and the wait time is ridiculous. And the attitude of the workers are the worse. I asked for cocktail sauce and they go tell me they sale it next door. I didn’t purchase my food from next door.

I found this place in college. I go there for their awesome energy and super fresh seafood. Plus you can have them prepare it for less than 2 bucks! Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Quick service, excellent workers. This is my second time coming in the last 3 days. Both times I was helped in a fast manner and efficiently. I recommend anyone who is a seafood lover to come here. Not only is it fresh seafood, but they’ll prepare it there for you with any sides that you want. I liked the deal on conch. I’ll definitely come again.

Pack your patience when you come here the wait could be as short as 45 minutes or as long as 2 hours… Hence the 3 stars, I’m thinking there must only be 1 cook in the kitchen. The food was good, but the wait time was not. Just a reminder again if you are really hungry don’t come here…

This place had poor customer service. It takes too long for food to come out. 30 min for a seafood combo. Ridiculous.

I’ve never disliked anything I had here! I especially love the tilapia and shrimp. The freshness and tastiness makes it worth the wait. I’m not from the area but I make it a point to come every time I’m in town(once a year!)it’s that good! :) Area may not look appealing but don’t judge a book by it’s cover as they say.

The food is great and most importantly it’s fresh! It’s a market, so you pick out your seafood raw and then they cook it for you. It’s not overly seasoned nor is it bland. The food can definitely take a awhile to prepare so I would recommend calling in your order if you’re in a rush.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of rare occasions of inconsistency. My family has been ordering from Northwest Seafood for years now and it’s one of my go-to places for seafood whenever I’m in the area. The plates are always packed to capacity and everything is always flavorful. I usually only get tilapia, snapper, conch and/or fries when I go and it’s always great. I’d suggest that you check your plate before you leave though. The employee will show you what’s on the plate before you pay but make sure you check to see that your plate does not consist of a lot of crumbs or meatless pieces of fried batter disguised as conch or something else. This rarely happens, but its better to be safe than sorry(or hungry), especially when u’re paying the price for fresh seafood! Please call in your order so that you don’t have to wait around for 15 minutes and risk being hassled by the guys selling CDs and DVDs outside or end up leaving the market smelling like you’ve just finished a fishing trip — it’s just not a sexy or pleasant! If you’re ever in the area I would definitely recommend this place. It’s no Red Lobster and parking might be a bit of a hassle, but, they sell fresh raw and cooked seafood for the soul, to-go. Get you some and let your soul glo!
