Sizzler

I love this place! Everyone is really nice and the food is affordable. It’s never busy!

My husband and i went here about 6 months ago. I haven’t been since I was young and sizzler was the place to go. I always wondered what happened and now I know, as the saying goes curiosity killed the cat and thats exactly why I should have left my curiousity at home that day. The food was horrible the bench seats were slipping from underneath us, mind you I was pregnant and not very happy about that. The salad bar was barley up to par and my food was way over priced for the quantity they give you. Needless to say I will not be giving them a second chance to get things right. Because from the other Unilocal reviews I see nothing has changed!

Terrible terrible terrible!!! I ordered the endless salad bar, the lettuce was soggy, the clam chowder was to watery, and I found a long hair in the rice! My brothers steak had a lot of nerves and was very chewy he couldn’t finish it. The silver wear had nasty smudges. I was very disappointed with everything here. Last time I will eat at Sizzlers.

I was assisted by Araceli Sandoval and she was beyond helpful, and patient with the menu. I ordered the Italian chicken with the salad bar and food was very tasty, and service was top notch. The only reason why I’m not giving them a 5, well because they need to renovate the place it’s been the same sin the late 90s come on this is sizzler not a mom and pop restaurant. Other than that the food was great!

I stepped into Sizzler for the first time on Sunday. After hearing Charles Barkley mention Sizzler having the best salad bar in America. I ended up having 6 jumbo shrimp with the endless salad bar. I don’t think Fried shrimp was a good representation of what Sizzler is all about. It was just meh, however what made my visit memorable was Kelly. I was dinning alone and could have easily become an afterthought. Kelly never made me feel like I got shuffled in the mix. She has Incredible Energy that sent out the most friendliest vibes. I will return and try the Malibu Chicken Kelly suggested. The Salad bar was Great!

Typical food you expect at any sizzler. Always seems nice and clean, food is stocked, and the waitresses are very nice. Nice place to get a nice fresh salad.

Dissatisfied. The restaurant looked dirty, the food was terrible. I ordered the Malibu Chicken with Salad bar. Nothing was fresh. Old fruit, old lettuce, limp spinach, and hard stale chicken wings. Grease was pooled on top of the ground meat. I think that the oil was old because the fried food was too dark. The soup bowls were dirty and I had to tell someone about it. Very disaapointing. Plus there was a huge hole in the ceiling.

To many flies including one in the taco meat at the salad bar. The waitress was real nice about it

This is the ONLY Sizzler left in the Ontario/​Upland/​Montclair/​Pomona/​Claremont… Well, let’s just say there isn’t another Sizzler for MILES from this location. My wife and I, though we grew up miles and miles apart, both recall Sizzler as being the place your parents took you for a special occasion. To us, even though there are plenty of «fancier» restaurants around these days, we still come back to Sizzler for those occasions: this one was my wife’s birthday.
My wife has been coming to this Sizzler location since she was a kid. In fact, the waitress that waited on her as a child still remembers her now that she’s an adult. Perhaps that is why we always get top notch service here, but I see the waitress treat everyone the same here, so I think it’s just the way she is (maybe that’s why this Sizzler is still in business?)
Again, top notch service and our food is always cooked great. The stuff at the salad bar is always clean and fresh too!
It seems like this Sizzler is trying to compete with the likes of places like Souplantation, because they’ve added a few new pre-​made salads to the salad bar including a bean salad, «farmers» noodle sald, tuna salad, fresh strawberry and blueberry salad, etc. The only salad that they «improved» on, of which I’m not a fan, was the seafood salad. It used to have chunks of soft, imitation crab meat in it that flaked off. Now, the salad has tough, rigid, fibrous chunks of imitation crab meat that are dry and don’t taste very good (my opinion obviously).
I’m glad this Sizzler still exists, and we’ll keep coming back as long as it does.

3 stars given because this place is expensive. The food is good. Their garlic bread is so good; I actually asked for some more to take home. Their portions are a good amount but I didn’t like that they give out alittle bit of rice when you ask for more especially when your being charged extra for it.

It’s okay. An older facility but adequate. Soup and salad bar satisfactory, staff nice, place clean.

This sizzler knocks it out of the park every time. We didn’t even know you could get a baked potato with the salad bar until we came here. No one else ever asked. Kelly, our waitress was awesome! She was handling the whole room by herself with a party of 16 and is still right on top of every request. This is by far my favorite sizzler and it’s solely due to her service and crazy work ethic !

I am giving this location 4 stars because I was pleasantly surprised by the staff here. I had a craving for Malibu chicken. The past few times I have gone into other sizzlers they were not maintained so well, which left me a little nervous going to any sizzler.
Our experience was very pleasant from the time we walked in. The staff taking orders and payment were professional and pleasant. The server was excellent, she was brining beverages before we knew we needed another. The staff in the dining room worked as a team, including the manager.
And the Malibu chicken was as good as I remembered. It, maybe even better, they use a breast now instead of a party.

Wow!!! They fixed the AC today! Looks like they are doing a little remodeling too. Finally!

Even worse… salad bar selection not up to par. Seems like they have chosen to have the cheapest fruit available, stations were dirty. And the a/​c was not full strength. .I could have stayed at home in my own hot house
And last but not least… prices out of hand… for as much as they charge I could go to a much better restaurant that’s air conditioned and enjoy eating food that is tasty and at least worth it …

So typically I’m not a big fan of sizzlers but I just finished eating here and I loved it. Although the girl in the front was a little rude. But the server was extremely nice. & the food was amazing. The only thing I didn’t really like was that my steak was a little undercooked. But my shrimp was very good. I will definitely be back here!

I was here once about 8 years ago and decided then not to come back. Yesterday I was with a group from out of town that wanted to go there and decided again not to come back. Our orders took 25 minutes to come with no explanation except «they just aren’t ready yet» when we asked. The place was only about ¹⁄₃ full. Fries weren’t cooked and I literally spit out some of the fish that was rubbery. Yuch. Woke up with heartburn later. I was worried about being sick.

Oh my love of salad bars might have disappointed me a little here.
The salad bar choices were actually pretty good. But they didn’t refill the bar that often. I went up to get guacamole 3 separate times and it was never filled. Also the bars were not kept very clean. I went to the dessert bar and it was a mess. There was chocolate everywhere and and gummy bears on floor and all over counter. As far as just the bar goes the prices seemed okay but if you wanted a steak and bar or even a hamburger meal and salad bar it really started to get pricy quick.
Our server was busy but very polite. She kept bringing us clean plates and anything we needed in a prompt time. In fact all the employees we encountered here were nice.
Parking here can be a pain too cause its in a small lot with a ton of other stores and restaurants.
