I am a cosmetic junkie, and when my friend suggested Orogold products I was all over it! I got three things to start with, the Luxurious Body Butter, the Salt Soufflé, and the Vitamin C Booster Serum. The Body Butter has a thick, paste-like consistency, but it rubs in easily and evenly. It doesn’t leave white streaks all over your body like some other body butters and also it’s not greasy. It has a sweet caramel like scent with a hint of berries. It smells pretty yummy, if you like the sweet creamy type of scents. The Salt Soufflé does the job, it’s creamy and not too abrasive. It scrubs the dead skin right off but it doesn’t leave you all chafed. My skin afterward was extremely smooth and perfect for shorts weather! The Vitamin C Booster Serum is silky smooth. I was worried that it was going to make my face feel oily, but once I rubbed the serum into my face, it feels soft and smooth without feeling oily and greasy. The prices are expensive. I definitely will be purchasing more products but probably the ones that will last for a year or more. I can justify spending $ 200 on a product that will last a year like the Vitamin C Booster Serum, but I don’t think I’ll be getting the body butter again. It was $ 68 for a tub and it lasted about a month… and I used it sparingly interchanging with a different body butter that I had. I will be purchasing more face products for sure, like eye cream, moisturizers, and face peels. Actually, I’m quite excited to get more stuff!

Alright, this was an interesting experience to say the least. I am more than familiar with the holiday mall kiosk sales pitches and have learned the best way to simply nod and walk away. BUT this time it was different. I was really late with my holiday shopping and didn’t have time to make it to my local mall near los angeles so I decided since it was 5 minutes away from where I was to stop by the ontario mills mall. Like I expected it was relatively busy because of the holidays and I quickly got overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. I decided to go to a few random stores and get gift certificates, I know lame and impersonal but I wasn’t into it. I had two more gifts to get but gift cards or what not would be way to impersonal. One gift for my dog sitter and the other one for my ex. Both girls that have been there for me the entire year and I like most dudes had no idea what size they wore, what colors they liked or what movies they didn’t already own. That’s when it happened. The cutest little girl approached me and said I looked lost. I said I was beyond lost and asked if she worked at the mall. She replied yeah actually I work at that kiosk right there. She was cute and actually genuinely nice. I said oh lotion products, great and laughed. She said no it’s different because the products were really unique with gold flakes in them. I said that was interesting because both the girls I needed gifts for use glitter on their nails. Anyways, I told her it looked interesting as she started to pour some of it in my hand lol and that I was on a real budget because the girls were just good friends and I had already bought a handful of gift cards earlier. She said it was ok and that they have many different options. She gave me a really great mini hand massage for like 30 seconds and it was pretty nice. After being very patient with my annoying questions I ended up with 2 cool gifts and actually was $ 5 under my budget! When I got home I wrapped both presents and was pretty excited to give them to my girl friends. My dog sitter loved the gift and used it right away. The best was my ex called me up a week later asking me where I got the gift because her friend from work loved the smell of it and wanted some for herself. Thanks to that little kiosk girl I made two important girls pretty happy and was able to impress my ex’s friend which is always a good thing. Don’t know when I will be back to ontario but my experience was definitely worth the 10 minutes it took writing this review.

I have used the Orogold body butter and the hand cream and I love them! The products smell really great and glide onto my skin leaving it feeling soft and smelling great. Plus, I’m a sucker for great packaging :) … As weird as this sounds, I did keep smelling my arm throughout the day because it smelled so amazing. The smell was not overwhelming but stayed all day. I love these products and highly recommend them =)

While shopping at Ontario Mills Mall, I was approached by a saleswoman from an Oro Gold Cosmetics vendor cart. The saleswoman introduced herself as «Dana» and continued with a product demonstration. Dana was extremely flirtatious and began rubbing various cremes on my arms and face. I was interested in the products but wanted to comparison shop online prior to making any purchase. Dana explicitly stated the products could be returned for any reason and stressed a «money back guarantee» at least three times during the product demonstration. The chair, in which I was seated during the entire demonstration, was facing away from the cash register. Dana grabbed the six products and walked behind me to hand-write my invoice. I turned and asked, «Wait, how much is the total?». Dana needed some time to calculate the total and responded, «$ 360». She failed to mention the additional $ 31.50 in tax. I stood and handed Dana my credit card. She swiped my Visa and then asked me to step over to the cash register area to sign the receipt. After collecting the merchant copy, Dana opened a drawer beneath the register, pulled out a stamp and inked the handwritten invoice«NOREFUNDS». I immediately protested to her trickery but she insisted that I take the products home first, then if I changed my mind to call the number on the credit card receipt and she would refund my money. I didn’t feel good about this purchase and continued to walk through the mall. After rounding a corner, a saleswoman from another Dead Sea cosmetics cart literally jumped in front of me. Before I had a chance to object, this woman was digging through my Oro Gold bag questioning why I bought certain products and how much I paid. She asked, «Who sold you, Dana or(male employee’s name)?». Apparently these two carts are operated by the same owner. Appalled by her crude behavior, I immediately walked out of the mall without shopping at my intended destinations. The highly aggressive and unethical sales practices of these two vendors brought the actual value of the cosmetics into question. greatly inflates the price of their products online to deceive shoppers into believing they received a bargain from the mall salesperson. Identical cosmetics are sold at 40−60% less on and similar sites. Not certain of how to directly contact the owner of that particular Oro Gold cart, I contacted Ontario Mills management and explained the incident. Barbara M from Simon Malls replied to my email and offered to handle a refund on my behalf. The owner eventually responded to Ms. M but refused to offer a full refund — oddly, just $ 100 for the return of two products which I purchased for $ 240 combined. I declined the offer and met with Ms. M the next day to retrieve my products. Ms. M said that she viewed the actual, signed credit card receipt and there was finely printed, «NOREFUNDS». In addition to the receipt, Ms. M said there was a framed sign with their return policy behind the cash register — which I was intentionally kept from facing in the chair. I realize my eyes were focused downward while signing the credit card receipt but I only saw boxes of cosmetics behind the register, where Ms. M claims their framed sign was displayed. Ms. M seemed genuinely disappointed by my experience but since the vendor«completed their obligation to the consumer», according to mall policy, she could not force the owner to refund my $ 391.50. I searched various consumer complaint sites for reports of underhanded behavior by Oro Gold, Vivo Per Lei or other Dead Sea cosmetic vendors — do the same and you’ll be overwhelmed with similar stories. I contacted Mazal Enterprises, the distributor of Oro Gold products and they were uninterested in protecting the reputation of their brand. I proceeded to file complaints with the Office of the Attorney General and the BBB. Currently, I am also in communication with the local NBC affiliate regarding my experience. This particular Oro Gold cart is no longer in Ontario Mills but there are still two other Dead Sea cosmetic vendors and I assure you, their sales tactics are identical.
