Moe’s Concrete

Moe and his two professional concrete employees did a large block wall and concrete patio project for us in 2012 at another site. Great job! Fantastic — 5 stars. Those two employees made the difference. Now, Feb 2014 he did a 15 yard concrete patio for us with upper spa pad and did NOT have the two professional employees. Instead he depended on his son, who is not that good. He told us he could get those same two employees back when he needed them to pour the concrete, because they went to work for a bigger company. BUT when the day came that the concrete was delivered, (he had not told us he was contracting out the job) he had hired two unskilled concrete foundation «guys» who did a terrible job of leveling.
The pad for the spa drains backward into the back corner instead of toward the front to drain off the pad. So every time water is on the pad, we get about 2 inches of water in that corner that must be manually swept out in order to drain.
Four sections of the patio are badly leveled so that they do not drain into the drain holes but back downward into the planters. What a terrible chore when we got a storm in spring. We were up to our ankles pushing the standing water into the drains. If it were up to me, and not my spouse, I would have sued him to have the ENTIRE concrete patio destroyed and re-​poured. Will never use Moe again — he cant’ do the work due to injury and he contracted, without our knowledge, two incompetent workers from Mexico.
Ladies — he will not discuss business with you and will ignore your requests of service. He only talks with the man of the house!
IT TOOK FOREVER — 6 MONTHS — because he continually took time off for vacation. We est. it would take 6 — 8 weeks.
