Oneonta’s best kept secret. Expensive but you get high quality. This is not your college bar or a sports bar. Most of the menu items you’ll never see anywhere else or at least with their take on them. The calamari is the best ever. If there’s risotto of any kind on the menu, get it… no one makes it better. The filet mignon falls apart, it’s so tender. A few nights each week they have live music of all sorts. Owners and staff are especially friendly.

Not sure why my photo wasn’t posted but when I ordered the filet mignon sliders I wasn’t expecting a party of ground beef. For one it didn’t taste like filet and two, why would you destroy a filet by making it into ground beef?
Calamari was chewy, so definitely frozen. 2 stars only for the vibe and the French fries were good.

AMAZING HANNAH!!! Amazing food! Amazing band! Great place for a few Cooperstown baseball parents looking for a late dinner and some fun. Service fantastic and make you feel like you are at home.

Upscale ingredients, delicious combinations, flavorful delights! Good beer, good service, and an array of amazing small plates, including kim chee pork belly tacos, mushroom risotto, and fried plantains. Service was friendly and fast, and the bill was not unreasonable.

Sometime ago I concluded that B Sides is a financial success. This was sometime after I realized that they were a culinary and cultural success. The first past is very important because good places don’t always last in this area… i suppose I could improve on the variety in the beer menu and the live music, but that is kind of nit– picking. I’m here about once a week because this place does it right !

Oh, B Side, how grateful I am that you exist.
We had a very nice meal and a nice time at the B Side in April 2015. We made a reservation online, though it turned out that we really didn’t need it. Still, the ability to make a reservation is a nice touch, for those nights when they may be crowded.
We sat at the bar for dinner, because, when somebody else is watching your kids, that’s what you do. I wish we’d gotten the name of our bartender, because she was great (for reference, she was pregnant, if that helps place her). Very conversational, but appropriately so. She offered drink recommendations and took the time to go over a number of menu items with us, as we kept wavering.
And, when the food arrived, it was very good. We had a burger and the mushroom risotto. Both definitely worth ordering again.

Nice place, friendly people, good selection of beer, enjoyed my salad and scotch eggs done perfectly. The music was fun too. If in Oneonta stop in you won’t be disappointed.

How this place could ever get a bad review. Amazing Drinks, awesome atmosphere, and by far the best food in oneonta. It isnt the cheapest, but you definately pay for what you get. I highly suggest the Manhattan! Everything i have ever tried there is incredible. From simple apps, to main course dishes. The owners always come by and check to see if everything is ok.

Excellent place. Went in with my wife, son and his wife for a quick drink before our planned dinner place opened. Sat at the corner of the bar and ended up staying through dinner. Nice sized room where you can see the whole place from anywhere. The bar has the liquor nicely displayed on glass shelves with soft blue lights. The bar is new oak. We were the only people in the place at 4:30 and had the bartender to ourselves. She was extremely helpful and good. They seem to squeeze a lot of lemons, most likely the bees knees which is what my wife had and loved it (gin martini with lemon and honey).
Dinner consisted of the specials we saw them writing on the chalk board when we decided to stay. Two had the shrimp and cherizo and loved it. The others had the filet/​mashed/​asparagus. Very tasty (only issue was that I ordered it medium to be safe and the middle was light brown, generally it should be at least pink). Anyway, the apps were especially great, calamari was just a little spicy and perfect, fried green beans were just as advertised and the gorgonzola stuffed figs wrapped in bacon were pretty good. All in all the drinks and food contributed to what was a great night with family.
We will be back.

Best mole ever. Service was excellent, local beer and spirit selection excellent. All of the staff knowledgeable and friendly.

Super friendly owners who really care about making their customers happy. They treat you like guests in their home. Sat at the bar all night with Wayne. Great good. Cool local music. Just an all around awesome night. Hope I can come back soon.

First time here. Food and Drinks were fabulous. Service was fabulous. Music was fabulous. Atmosphere and acoustics were… well…fabulous. Highly recommend.

Wow, what great food! The bacon wrapped dates were delightful. The pulled pork, peaches and cornbread was out if this world. Great service and atmosphere.

A reaaaaally nice place, not a very typical bar for Oneonta. I was really impressed. I don’t know how it is when both of the colleges are in session, but it’s a pretty lovely place.

Went to dinner with family last night … the b-​side salad DeLicious, dates wrapped in bacon so good, and the bbq brisket sliders with thier special slaw was perfect the little bit of sweet potatoes fries that they served with the sliders yummy. They also have a good selection of beers, and cocktails, but not do much on the dessert. But the choice they did have was scrumptious the bread pudding outstanding and the vanilla ice cream with expresso was good, the flourless chocolate cake was very rich (dark chocolate) but good… I want to go back tonight it was that good.

Best place in town, hands down. No Riff Raff, good food, good booze, good people, good music, good times and the management and staff are amazing.

My son took me here for my birthday and I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and excellent! We were there on the night they featured a live jazz quartet, and not only was the music excellent, the acoustics are expertly done. I was able to eat my dinner and enjoy a conversation without shouting to be heard. The owner went around visiting with customers (as every owner should). All in all a great experience and I highly recommend B-​Side Ballroom.
