TSA – Transportation Security Administration

I was forced through the naked scanner here and the next time I chose to decline the radiation emitting machine. They didn’t like my disobedience and gave me a thorough groping as a punishment.

I have only gone through TSA here once, that being said I had absolutely no issues and everyone was kind to me. I went through the evil cancer machine just fine after removing all my items and they wished me a good day. Pretty simple.
Florida on the other hand. don’t get me started!
Ps… I thought this was common knowledge but if you refuse the machine, you are going to get the pat down, it’s the rule kind of all over the country. It isn’t just for OMA.
I intend to do more flying next year, so if this changes I’ll be sure to let yo know!

The TSA is beyond description. The rudeness, the government attitude, the utter lack of compassion shown to vulnerable travelers. Overall, a sad state of affairs and someday when taxpayers can take no more and this agency is defunded, I will not cry for them or have any compassion when they are out looking for jobs.

Of all the airports I’ve flown, from Los Angeles, to New York, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Washington D.C., etc, Omaha’s airport security is the rudest and most abrupt I’ve ever encountered. Taking your job seriously as a Transportation Security Agent is understandable, but the overall power trip attitude and admonishing older passengers for not putting their liquids in a bag or the dish is disgraceful and unacceptable. Common courtesy should be used, I do not know what makes the Omaha TSA’s feel the need to be jerks. And by the way, TSA’s, you don’t even work in an International Airport, and granted, there is always a security risk, but your demeanor of scare tactic as trying to get the public to take you seriously is just annoying and getting rather old.

It’s the TSA, probably the second most hated government employees in the country. As far as TSA goes the Eppley Airfield folks are about as good as it gets. The agent who looked at my drivers license really took her job seriously. She looked at it and then looked at me several times. I didn’t feel as if I was violated too bad when I passed through the metal detectors. Once I was past the screening point, I did not encounter a single terrorist. Thanks for keeping me and my country safe TSA!

Holy post-​9/​11 world, Batman… did I just give 4 stars to the TSA? This might be the highest rating a unit of the TSA will ever get from me.
Aside from the fact that the TSA is a governmental travesty and an affront to civil liberties, the folks working at Omaha Airport (or Eppley Airfield to you locals) are outstanding at their jobs. They might even like their jobs, and it shows. I have a love/​hate relationship with the TSA, and these people made me smile, and even had me LOLing (the guy working the lines was cracking jokes left and right), all the while being fast and efficient (not that there’s many flights out of OMA, but it still counts for something). Oh, and they actually enforced their policies correctly, so if you follow them you’ll be ok.
If only all TSA units were like this, the traveling public might forget about the whole travesty/​affront part of things.
