Went in at 110 pm on a Sunday, ¾ empty, sat down, 10 minutes passed without any server asking for orders, drinks, or anything, just left. Decided to call to tell manager Tyler what happened, he said sorry it’s a new server, 3rd straight visit this has happened though, manager Tyler just making excuses, do not recommend this place, Reds Savoy up street, Genos, Union Pizzaria across street are 100x better, go there.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Made an order at 9:30 and was there in 10 – 15 minutes like the girl quoted. Proceeded to wait at the bar for 25 minutes AFTER I arrived. Also pretty sure employees were also drinking while working. If you don’t want a huge annoying waste of time, just don’t go!

Seems like a great place to watch a ballgame but the food that I ate was sub par. I know I should have ordered some type of chicken but I ordered the burger. Now, I still expect a decent burger and that was not what I received. It was over cooked and charred on the edges to the point of being inedible. I know now to order the chicken.

Just walked out of this place. Have been here a few times and food is alright, but tonight we came in and sat at the bar for over 5 minutes without being served. Only 5:30, not busy at all. We sat within 6 feet of 5 or more waitresses in a little group just talking away. If you’re the owner of this establishment, your people need some huge lessons on customer service.

We used to really enjoy Tanners. We went there for a drink and to play keno. It was s Sunday night and the establishment was not crowded. Two waitresses walked past us several times without acknowledging our presence. I went up to the bar to pay for my keno games and had to wait for the bartender to come back to my end of the bar. In the meantime, our waitress took my drink order. I guess she thought I was going to order my drink at the bar since she never stopped st out table. When the bartender asked what he could get for me, I started to hand him my keno ticket. He snapped at me, «That has to wait!» I understand keno is not a priority in a bar, but there us no need for rudeness. We left immediately and went to a bar down the street.

I am writing this review solely on the last experience I had at Tanner’s. We like coming here for their 5 dollar burger night, and their Chicken Lips are always cooked to perfection. However, when my boyfriend and I went in a few nights ago to watch a specific sports game, our opinion drastically changed. We sat at the bar with other patrons who were clearly there to see the same sporting event. It was around 9 pm at night and there were maybe only three other tables dining. When we(ALL parties sitting at the bar) asked to please have the sound on for this event, the manager refused. He claimed there were more people there for a different event. When we looked back, nobody was watching the TVs. Needless to say, EVERY party at the bar paid and left to go to another venue to watch the game. I am disappointed in this establishment.

I’m from the DC area and wish we had such a fantastic place to go! This place is awesome! The menu has a variety of both healthy and splurge food selections — both /all of which are absolutely delicious! Great laid back, chill, yet entertaining ambience. Very reasonable prices, a place to bring your kids and/or get lit with your friends to watch a game — lots of HD TVs, very accommodating staff. Love it. Our server today– Rachel — was awesome and made great recommendations. Ask for Rachel and order the battered-buffalo-charred-chicken-lips. Loving it.

I wasn’t impressed by Tanner’s bar and grill. I understand it’s a chain but this particular location was underwhelming. The grub is very average bar food. I got chicken lips, which are essentially chicken tenders. Not bad but nothing special. The fries were typical fried from frozen. The menu doesn’t offer anything healthful(salads are iceberg lettuce) and very few GF options. The atmosphere is casual and it’s like sitting at s kitchen table. Pretty comfortable. Lots of sports teams memorabilia on the walls, several tvs. The service was pretty standard as well. Nothing stands out as good or bad. There are better bar and grills out there.

Can’t comment on anything but the wings but the Char wings were really good. I would put them up against any others in the Omaha area

Just like any other sports bar with lots of TV during game day etc. just like any other random bar food.

Honestly I’ve got to say this was pretty average. Don’t get me wrong, the food is pretty good. However, there are some things that hold this place back and make it not able to compete with Oscar’s. One was the wait for our food. Me and my friends ordered some chicken lips and char buff wings(both are really good) and the wait was extremely long on a pretty average night. The beers are extremely expensive(my friend ordered a bud light and it was $ 4.50) and they don’t have many micro brews to choose from. I just think that Oscar’s has so much more to offer and a better environment. The idea for a cool sports bar is there but they can definitely improve on plenty of things to become a force in Omaha. Not bad by any means, but nothing to really get excited about.

I have Tanners at a solid 3. The food is good, but not great. Although the Charbuff buffalo wings are pretty good, nothing else really stands out. The atmosphere at Tanners is actually pretty cool. Plenty of tables and TV’s to hang with friends or catch a game. I would probably put Tanners at a 4, but after the price of food and beer you are paying way too much which is why I went 3. Food is pretty pricey for what you’re served and beer is expensive. At the end of the day, the atmosphere brings me back for sporting events and to spend time with friends. Brat

While the food is decent and comes out pretty fast, it takes FOREVER to get served. We come here a few times a month and you can plan to wait at least 10 – 15 min for someone to wait on you while the bartender stands there, doing nothing but jacking around on his phone and staring at the TV’s. If whomever owned this place invested in some training and development of the staff it could be packed with people who would come back. It’s a basic burger but they seem to have forgotten that the service is just as important. We will find another establishment that focuses on the customer.

Great food! The jalapeño cheese balls and the Big K burger are my absolute favorite! The girls are really nice and they have tons of TVs. I would definitely recommend!

Have the place another opportunity to get it right. Onion rings came out greasy. Waited half hour for wings and they came out cold. Place was busy but not swamped. Been to this location before and had issues as well. Not sure if I’d EVER go back

Had heard a lot about this bar, so I asked a friend to meet me here. I ordered a buffalo blue burger, and got a bacon burger. I put it out It was not what I ordered, and the waitress offered to take it back and«make it right.» I said yes,” thank you.” The very same burger returned with the bacon removed and a sprinkling of blackening seasoning. The burger was lukewarm at best and not what I would call properly blackened. When the bill came I was overcharged and pointed out to the waitress. she offered to «make it right again.» She returned with the proper charge for me. My companion had the«chicken lips» which is their name for chicken tenders. They looked terrific. The tater tots were also lukewarm, and not seasoned with anything significant like Lawry’s seasoning etc. Perhaps it was just a one time thing, and bad luck on my part. I’m actually being generous with two stars.

Been to Tanners many times over the years but no so much recently. They have failed to keep up with the competition. It used to be the go to joint after golf or to watch sporting events as the food was decent and they had the best wings in town. But I gotta say over the past 2 years service has plummeted, the menu remains unchanged, and the televisions are the same small ones. In addition, the projector screen sucks bad – you can’t see the games you are trying to watch. I think the quality of food(even though they are the same items) has drastically deteriorated. Out of curiousness we went to their new location off 192nd yesterday. I am shocked that the inside is just like their old one! And the menus are identical. Same small TVs, same projector screens, same hard ass wooden seats(bar stools and chairs). I thought the service was better here than at the older location. Wings are good but not charred enough and they had too much sauce. Recommendations: Offer at least some padded seating. We don’t park our buts all day there but Husker games can last a few hours. Secondly, change up the menu a little from time to time. Third, modernize a little bit by offering larger televisions… maybe consider removing the projector screens and replacing with 3 or 4 large flat screens would be a start. Those small TVs above the bar area at each location drives me crazy, you break your neck to see the TV and squint to see the programming. I’m rooting for you Tanners, but you need a little more effort.

Preliminary rating at this time is 2 stars and the reason being this is our first time and will give it another try another day. The server wasn’t very busy, yet she spent more time chatting at the bar with other employees. We had a dirty dish which needed to be replaced. No apology for the oversight of the kitchen. She didn’t offer the specials at all. We ordered nachos and she never removed the large nacho tray during the entire meal. She didn’t offer any refill on beverages. I ordered a sandwich and later she came back to say they don’t make that one any more. The meatloaf was average, according to hubby. The salad was average. Awful service for not being busy at the time we were in. The nachos were good and you get plenty. A bit spicy, so didn’t need additional jalapeño. Beer in plastic cups? Why??? The blinds were filthy and the place needs a good cleaning. If the dishes and blinds are dirty, how clean is their kitchen? Just sayin’. The restaurant was also very cold, to the point I almost decided to wear my coat halfway through the meal. We’ll give it one more try for a burger some day, but if the service is the same, we will not be back. Note: apparently this is a chain, since there are reviews for the same restaurant in Middleton, WI.

This is your typical sports bar with bar food. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and had to add salt to flavor it. The chicken lips are nothing more than cut up chicken breast. Maybe I should’ve ordered chicken wings. The service was ok but our waitress disappeared for awhile. As I said it is typical sports bar food. Nothing special.
