Terrible service. Frequently they missed meetings with us. They straw that broke the camel’s back was EXTORTING us for«operations and profit.» Essentially, they added a number to the insurance claim, and told us we owed extra to them, so they could finish the job. They continually claimed this number came FROM the insurance company. Our agent disagreed, and we never received anything from our insurance company about«operations and profit,» for the contractor. Shane kept showing us an itemized list, with his letterhead on it, with«O&P,» but nothing from the insurance company. They received half the insurance money up front, with the balance due upon completion. Furthermore they state they are a family owned business but yet most of their work is done by sub-contractors which they find in each town they work in. In our case, the gutter people were working in Blair from Florida. They couldn’t have left more screws on the ground if they had dumped out bags of screws. Several flat tires as a result, one resulting in a blowout on the interstate, that, only by the grace of God, did not result in a fatality. S&R finally resorted to threatening legal action, which was hilarious, because the only signed document listed half the insurance money, that they were due up front. We have not heard from them since. Our project is not completed. We got new roof, gutters, and windows, but siding and fence are incomplete, ten months after the hailstorm of 2014. My father-in-law also used him. Not so bad in that case, just very slow to get the work done.
