Star rating is specifically for the turkey chili. I think it’s some of the best chili I’ve ever had. Love the complexity of it.

I ordered the ranchero omelet. It was an omelet filled with two sausage patties and some cheese. The sauce is like a spicy BBQ sauce of some sort. It was not as tasty as it sounded on the menu. The sauce was pretty nasty. The two half slices of bread were badly burned and I couldn’t eat them. It came with fruit, which is nearly impossible to screw up. All of that for over $ 7. Way too expensive for the quality.

Paradise is a nice little place to stop in for a quick and inexpensive meal. They have a good selection of probably close to 10 salads and lots of sandwich options as well. Kids meals run $ 4.25 and include a yogurt, drink and cookie. Their baked goods are delicious as well.

Cute bakery right next to all of the shopping places, and the interior is beautiful. The food is good enough, and the coffee is reasonably priced. However the service was so rude. Its our first time here and we didn’t know where to order, and thank you to the woman who made us feel stupid!

For years my family and friends and I have been big fans of Paradise Bakery and Café, both at this location and the one at Regency. I usually default to the Turkey Cranberry sandwich and did again tonight. My companion had the quiche and a Caesar salad. Both came with a fabulous cookie. He had a ginger molasses cookie, and I had the yummy standby, chocolate chip. The seating is comfy with either standard restaurant seating or comfy parlor chairs with slide-in trays. The sandwich sizes are large enough I always end up taking half home. A great place to eat!

My first time at this location. I usually go to the Regency location. I happened to be here at lunchtime and was surprised at how fast service was handled and how quickly the line of people went down. I always have the same thing when I come to Paradise — Asian Chicken Salad(so good!) and today as a treat I had a little mini-carrot cake. I liked the little individual chairs with the tables over by the fireplace and the TV, where I could sit and eat my lunch in private, not take up a whole table, and didn’t feel conspicuous. When my lunch was finished, I got up to bus my bowl and silver, and a girl came up to me, took my bowl and said, «Oh, you don’t have to take those. You can just leave them at your seat and we’ll take care of that,» I’m so used to bussing my own table at places like this. As far as the layout of the place, I prefer this location, and I thought the staff was a little more on top of things here. Food was the same — good. I’m closer to the Regency location, so I’ll continue to support them more, but nice to know Village Pointe has a nice location too.

Good place overall. I enjoy the food and the service is usually good. The last time I was there, super lady provided good service. The time before the person taking care of me was so-so. I really like the sandwiches and soups. I had a great espresso here last time as well.

I have generally enjoyed coming to Paradise Bakery and Café to study and get some lecture writing finished. I really like the back room of the café as it is shielded from the drafts of the larger room. The food is typically café food — nothing spectacular but always satisfactory. The friendliness of the staff is variable — some are quite perky and helpful while I perceive others certainly wish they were some place else. I recommend bringing your own music /headphones if you plan to do some work /concentrate, and the café’s sound system is pretty loud. My major complaint is the staff ALWAYS closing the back room WHILE i’m in it working. They never say anything to me, but having all the chairs turned upside down on surrounding tables all around you isn’t exactly inviting. If you would like me to move, simply ask me. Otherwise don’t ruin an experience by making me feel unwelcome.

I ordered the half soup half sandwich for dinner. The fire roasted tomato soup is delicious! The grilled cheese is leaving a bit to be desired. I’m happy with the cookie that came with my meal, though! :) Can’t wait to check out the bakery section.

This place is definitely better for cookies and baked goods than it is breakfast. Came here because there aren’t a lot of options in the area — it was fine. Got scrambled eggs, they are definitely made from the powder… But came with toast and a muffin and a small fruit cup. It was meh.

Been here many times, quality is inconsistent from day to day. Our last visit will be our last. My wife found several bugs in her side salad. We showed to the manager who didn’t have much to say except that he brought her a replacement salad unprompted. Right… like we want more of your pre-made batch of bug salad.

It is inconsistent. Sometimes it tastes great but it seems more often than not the bread is stale. When you have bakery in the name I expect the bread to be fresh not stale. I would never choose to come here. If I do end up here it’s only because someone else insists they want to come here. The only special thing they have is the cookie with the meal but honestly I would prefer chips or another side.

I bought two kids meals, grilled cheese sandwichs. The bread was rock hard and the sandwich couldn’t have been any flatter. I think they pre made them weeks ago and finally heated them up. Very disappointing. I think that they are living on there past success(cookies) and don’t think they need to worry about what customer get.

With a great reputation I was expecting more. My limp salad came in a soup bowl. What kind of restaurant serves you a salad in a soup bowl? This place reminds me of our local hospital cafeteria and left me wanting more.

The breakfast croissant sandwich was just okay and not worth the money. The triple shot medium espresso had no taste. In addition, the staff seemed to have an attitude with this first timer. I doubt I will go back.

I’ve been to this location for lunch a couple of times but never for breakfast until today. We opted for Paradise over Mimi’s. In my opinion, Mimi’s has one of the better breakfasts around so I thought this better be good. And it was. The breakfast menu is somewhat limited but the portions were perfect. I ordered the ranchero omelette which came with two slices of bread toasted on the panini grill, fresh fruit, and a mini blueberry muffin. It was thick with egg but it was tasty. The fruit and muffin were also a nice touch. My wife enjoyed the waffles with fresh strawberries. She commented that it would be better with an extra strawberry. We both had the freshly squeezed orange juice which was fantastic. It’s definitely not the cheapest option on the block but its a pretty good breakfast if you’re looking beyond the standard Village Inn and IHOP chains.
