The staff here are so welcoming and really make you feel like family. The food is delicious, deep fried appetizers and cheesy goodness pizzas(try the chicken club!). Lots of room for big groups.

If you want a great pizza that you don’t need to get a loan for… go to a take out place in little Italy on 6th street. It’s family owned like this one however it not as expensive and the taste is better… .much better

I love this family-owned place! Always order the same items: veggie pizza, western salad, onion rings, and an Arnold Palmer. The pizza has a beautiful crust, with plenty of tomato sauce and vegetables. The western salad is like a Midwestern version of a chef’s salad. The house dressing is recommended. Portions are generous! The onion rings are the best in town, hands down. Service is efficient and friendly.

Although I will say the food was good the technical difficulties that occurred the entire Hawkeyes husker game made my whole experience in pleasant first the sound went out then all but one tv went out and the sound worked then didn’t work worked then didn’t it was frustrating and highly unpleasant I may eat here again but I will not go here again to watch any sort of sporting event if that’s ur intention is to go have some drinks and food and watch a game just get ur food to go and go elsewhere.

Best pizza in the area. Been going here for years. We first drove from West Omaha to there Saddlecreek location. When they opened up a location in West Omaha we visited there. Now we moved to the southern part of town and they opened up a location there! Love them! Great thick pizza, lots of toppings, you get what you pay for!

We went to watch the NE football game on Saturday. This location has plenty of TV’s, so everyone at the table has a good view. Wasn’t sure how early to get there for a NE game, but actually by the time the game started there were still open tables. It is a pretty large place. Their pizza is pretty tasty. I got the sausage pizza which had a good flavor. They certainly do not skimp on the mozzerella! I like the trays they put their pizzas on… there are little nubs on the tray to prevent crust from getting soggy! There is plenty on the menu to pick from if you’re not into pizza. Someone in our group ordered a cheese frenchee, and another the chicken alfredo. Now I had thought that Don & Millie’s were the only place left in town that did a good cheese frenchee. Again… that is what I thought. Not anymore… this cheese frenchy seemed exceptionally crunchy and had more flavor than D&M’s. It really was good. I’m told the chicken alfredo was«pretty good», but I’ll judge that with the fact they finished almost every drop of it! A basket of onion rings were also ordered and it appeared they were a hit! The service is spot on. Everyone that works there is super nice and accommodating. The one thing I wasn’t thrilled about was all the kids running around. Went for a football game but kind of felt like I was at a kid’s party! Now I love kids, but it was distracting at times while watching the game. Great place for parents to bring their kids though. There is a little game room that seemed to be a hit with the kids, and a pretty generous claw machine!

We love Mama’s Pizza! Their servers are very friendly and even when the place is packed, food and service are still excellent. We enjoy the pizza and other choices on the menu. For the price of their pizzas, it is well worth it. It is a very family friendly atmosphere. And yet large groups of adults can meet and enjoy the meal and atmosphere as well. Sports themed and entertaining memorabilia decorates the restaurant. Highly recommended!

We eat at Mama’s fairly often. When done right — the onion rings are some of the best in town. My favorite pizza is a Chicken Pesto. Chicken, bacon, artichoke hearts, pesto sauce. Yummy! It’s not on the menu but just ask for it. I like the crust best on the small pizzas. I think with the large ones — they pile the toppings on so the crust can get a little soggy. Still good. I like that they cut their pieces in squares. It does get quite busy.

Today the pizza was better than a bath in a tub o’ butter. I haven’t had the pleasure yet of a butter bath but i bet it would be a moisturizing experience. The staff was beyond friendly. I could not of asked for a better experience.

The pizza here is pretty good! Not exactly«slap ya mama good» but good. The bbq chicken pizza is really good. However the crust doesn’t warm up again later well. The all meat is good but the beef is crumbled into tiny pieces which is kind of gritty tasting. Their garlic cheese bread is the BOMB! Super garlicky and cheesy. No kids size pizza outside of lunch so that makes it kinda pricy to feed your little ankle biters so keep that in mind. Good place all around but not 5 star great… sorry Mamas!

We go to Mama’s Pizza for carry out a couple times a month. They are consistently good. Their lasagna is really good and cheesy. The thing that I really like and appreciate about it, is that they will make it with no Italian sausage if you ask them. I am never able to order lasagna when I go out because all the restaurants make it with Italian sausage which I do not like. It also comes with a yummy Rotella’s roll and a small salad. Their house dressing, cream of garlic is super tasty! Their pizza is decent too, but not my favorite in town. Their cheese bread is nothing to get excited about either. They are always nice and helpful when we call and food is hot and ready on time.

We have been here twice with friends and our kids. It is great for a crowd. We over ordered the first time, told ourselves not to do it again, and them over ordered the second time as well. Their fried pickles are awesome. The house dressing, a creamy garlic, is phenomenal. It is great on the salad, the pickles, pretty much everything. We tried their meatball pizza and it was good. Our friends ordered taco pizza which was also good. The atmosphere is great of families, groups, and definitely good for a casual pizza gathering. I’m sure we will be back!

I have eaten here about 5 times now. Pizza is good and staff is friendly. The place is very clean. Onion rings are second only to those at Cheddars(those reign supreme IMO). Great setup for large groups and always have sports games on. The pizza is a little over priced but my kids love going here. We will be back I’m sure.

I’ve been a fan of Mama’s Pizza for years. Well, their original location on Saddle Creek anyway. That said, my first visit to this suburban location lives up to the standards of the original. The pizza tastes identical. The building is cavernous, but is still full of sports memorabilia, giant TVs, a small video game arcade and plenty of communal tables that are perfect for parties. Let’s touch on the food — this is square cut Midwestern pizza, so just expect that walking in and love it for what it is. Order a Mama’s Special, which is a ton of veggies on top of cheese and hamburger meat on the bottom with the sauce — this is a signature item that you won’t find anywhere else on Earth. Also, realize it’ll be served piping hot and you will burn your mouth if you dig in right away. If you eat more than three slices, you will be looking forward to a pizza coma. Just a warning. For something a bit lighter, try a margherita pizza. There are other winners as well, from the chicken BBQ to the reuben(how very Omaha, right?). Just browse the menu and order what sounds fitting. As for apps, always order the onion rings. They are among the best in town. Mama’s can get pricey pretty quick. And expect a crowd on the weekend, complete with all the screaming kids who live within a 100 mile-radius. But really, this is a classic, comforting pizza joint. I can see why one location was simply not enough.

I love anywhere that offers cream cheese on their pizza. It’s mostly young kids working but they are polite. It’s generally order at the counter style, which is kind of annoying if you’re ordering drinks. It is a very good place for large groups — there’s lot of space and games for kids to play. Mama’s is great for take out too. Open til midnight on the weekend, which is a bonus. The pizza’s a little pricy, but worth it. And there are lots of other options for those who aren’t too big on pizza, with pretty reasonable prices on sandwiches and such.

Wow, where do I start. Ok, the good: the wings had a good flavor and not a lot of acid taste, so the dinner started out good with the buffalo wings. Then our large Taco pizza came with a side of shredded lettuce and a 2oz cup of salsa. The pizza looked very bland, basically a hamburger pizza with onion and black olives and cheddar cheese. Tasting it I knew it really needed something and really it needed taco sauce, but after asking for taco sauce I was told they only had salsa. So with the salsa provided there was taste imparted on the pizza and I was OK. The 2oz side of salsa only lasted through half the pizza so I asked a young lady if I could get some more, she said ok. She came back empty handed and told me that extra salsa was $.60. I was floored. I said thanks but no thanks. I have never been to a sit down restaurant that charges extra for condiments. A 64oz bottle of Pace picante sauce is $ 5.68, so $.8875 per oz. I’m sure they buy at a better price. That is a 70% profit margin on the salsa, which should come with the pizza. When we went to leave the manager and all the workers exited the front area so I couldn’t voice my displeasure, that was real classy. Needless to say I won’t be back and I suggest all others stay away.

Mama’s is nearly a weekly choice for our family. The staff and service is top notch. I am not sure who does the training, or what incentives are leveraged to the high school and college employees there, but i have never seen more polite and hard working youths. They do a great job and are always helpful. The food speaks for itself. Great pizza all around, regardless of your toppings. Out«Go-to» is the 4-cheese with white sauce. A great, open environment that allows you to monitor kids, but let them mingle at the same time. Cheers!!! To Mamas!

While the DEA may cite something like meth or crack or the marijane as America’s greatest addiction, I would argue that pizza trumps all of those. In the chain-restaurant loving suburbs of Omaha, the addition of Mama’s Pizza is LaVista is not only welcome, but much needed. It’s 6 p.m. on a Friday night and the place is jammed with customers. While I’m not a fan of the carryout pizza(due to the essence of cardboard that seems to infuse the pizza regardless of how short the drive home may be), we went with this option knowing that this location would be a loud crush of families ringing in the New Year by sticking to their weight loss resolutions by drinking light beer and adding a side salad to their pizza order. It took us three tries to call in because the phone line was busy. Once we got through, we ordered our pizza, and were promised readiness within 20 – 25 minutes. I appreciate that this location has two entryways: one for carryout, one for dine-in. Regardless, the place is loud, confusing and exactly what we expect from Mama’s…an unassuming establishing doing what they do… pizza, iceberg salad(with that garlic house dressing that doubles as a dipping sauce for onion rings, pizza and whatever else you might impulse order). Crisp crust with cheese on top(to hold the plethora of toppings onto the slice) — the pizzas are one of the better options in Omaha(large combo, side salad and chocolate chip cookie is a bit less than $ 30). When dining in, am also a fan of the onion rings and any number of other items on their menu. Service is fast and friendly. No delivery. No discounted $ 5 pizza deals. Pizzas are cut up in party squares — something I’ve only experienced in the Midwest and at children’s birthday parties, but it works. Welcome to the ‘burbs.
