Arnold Clark Studio

Extremely overpriced, pictures were good yes but for the amount I received, not worth almost a grand. And taking 2 and a half months to get my senior pictures back doesn’t help.

If I could sum up my thoughts on Arnold Clark Studios in one word it would be «over rated and over priced.» Ok that’s 5 words but let me tell you why. Compare the prices with almost any other studio and you will be shocked at the difference in price. Enough said, but good luck trying to find out their package prices before you take pictures. They want to surprise you with that because otherwise you will run, unless you have money to burn. To me, it is not worth the money, not even close. Yes the photos come out fine, but they don’t look any better than the photos I’ve taken with my Nikon DSLR camera, and I’m an amateur with no formal training. Had I’d been more organized, I would have taken them myself and I’m confident enough they would look just as good. Oh well, you live and you learn. To quote the infamous George W. «Fool me once… duh…you can fool me but you can’t get fooled again.» Their customer service is sub par and they want to tack on as many «photo lab» fees as they can. I should have never taken my kids graduation photos here!

My son is graduating from high school and it was time for senior pictures. I remember the day when the photographer came to school, gave the gals and guys a top to wear and they took a few shots and that was it. Times have changed. Today, expect to get bombarded with flyers from various photography companies trying to get your business. Furthermore, many of these photography studios «partner» with local schools by providing a school class picture and then getting first contact with the kids from the school offering various discounted «sitting fees». Some of the companies appear to identify who is popular from the school your child attends and give them special packages and include them in their marketing brochures hoping to lure other students from the same school. Actually very smart marketing…
Arnold Clark took very nice pictures of our son which we eventually purchased. In our opinion, we found them difficult to work with but again I will stress their pictures of our son are very nice. We liked the poses that were a part of the package. When we received the pricing for their packages they were very pricey. About 5 months later we then got hit up by Arnold Clark through their marketing again when it came to graduation invitations. They make it easy if you are looking for a one stop shopping for graduation gifts/​etc. However, we decided to go a different route after talking to other student’s parents who went with companies like Shutter Fly where you can use your own pictures and you get more invites for less money. Ultimately, in my opinion Arnold Clark takes great senior pictures, at best mediocre customer service and are relatively expensive. Now, I suspect you will find similar practices for most of the photography studios who specialize in senior pictures.
