As per other reviews, I’m not sure I want to blow up a local spot, but I do want to acknowledge how awesome it was to come here. A fairly large group of us that did not partake in skiing on New Year’s Day but were looking to get right headed over to Squaw to meet up with those from our group that had hit the slopes around early afternoon. We went to several places trying to find space to watch some football and grab drinks/food but the entire area was PACKED. Luckily, we stumbled into the Slot just at opening time and posted up at the bar. This place is tiny, but so great to have our group fill the room. Yeah, we could have drank and watched TV at our cabin, but personal bartender? Yes, please. Additionally, though I’m sure some of the local skiiers were annoyed we’d commandeered most of the space, most people were very friendly and one even bought the whole bar shots. There is no bathroom(but there is in the bar next door) and it’s nice because they let you BYO food or order from a place nearby. Aside from locals, this is a great place for chill groups looking to avoid some of the Squaw madness!

Ok so awesome hole in the wall bar! Made even better by the Fritz man himself. Love SuperFly Jimmy Snooka and a Rowdy Roddy Piper!

I feel a bit reluctant to expose this«hole in the wall» bar. It is only open seasonally, perhaps i was able to experience the end of Labor Day closing, it’s attached to Bistro 22– seems about 15×15 feet square, though don’t hold me to the dimensions, offers premium alcohol at reasonable prices(for Tahoe), can tell it’s the go to spot after a fun day on the slopes and I suppose standing room only during the season. Everyone needs a spot, the Slot seems to fit the bill for me. Very eclectic crowd of locals and travelers.
