yum! friendly stuff. Tarte Tatin is a must try! relaxing atmosphere, great selection of wine, we had the sword fish, buffalo rib eye and the elk, all excellent!

This is an expensive restaurant with a relatively small menu of traditional looking dishes. We ate the main fish dish and beef filet dish as well as starters, and left most of it on our plates. The calamari starter was soggy and swimming in oil; the fish was overcooked and tasteless and sat on top of carrots and broccoli that seemed to have been passed under a hot tap — no seasoning either. The beef filet was dry and tasteless. We eat a lot on in good restaurants and simply don’t understand the comments of others. This is pretentious food that is poorly prepared and ridiculously expensive. Such a disappointment given the lack of alternatives in Squaw Valley.

My wife and I stayed in the area and were looking for a decent place for dinner. We found this restaurant on Unilocal and decided to try it out. The facility is an older facility and the place looks dated, but the staff was friendly. We were immediately greeted by Graham himself, who was seated at the bar. He seemed to be enjoying himself and making sure to speak to customers and welcome them. We had made reservations and were seated immediately. We chose the king crab legs for an appetizer and they were delicious. The legs were cut in half lengthwise so required no cracking and ripping to get the meat out. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had the beef tenderloin and my wife had the buffalo rib eye. The tenderloin was cooked a perfect medium rare with a mushroom sauce on top. It was a very tender cut of beef and I was extremely satisfied with my selection. The buffalo rib eye was cooked to my wife’s liking of medium. I was a little timid to try the buffalo, but it was delicious and seasoned perfectly with a nice grill charring on the outside. For dessert, we had a delicious caramel and apple item. I can’t remember the name of it, but it was essentially a very thin pancake, sort of like a crêpe, but thicker and more full, not quite a pancake. It was covered with very thin slices of apples and a generous helping of caramel sauce and a topping of vanilla ice cream. It was a perfect ending to the meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to those in the area.

My boyfriend grew up in Squaw and always raved about Graham’s as we drove by on our way to the mountain. After three years of such driving by, I finally convinced him to go there(instead of collapsing in exhaustion at home after a full day of skiing or hiking). It was such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the ambience was relaxed, and the company was wonderful. Graham personally greeted us, just like old friends. We had the foie which was very well cooked, the seafood ravioli with super fresh prawns and mussels, and an incredible rib eye. My boyfriend is also a child of vintners(I sadly can’t drink wine) and he told me that he was very impressed with the wine menu, as it carried a lot of small, local, high-quality wines. All in all, a great evening and I highly recommend anyone go there. I know we’ll be back soon!

My friend and I went to Grahams three different times this past winter and had a wonderful night each time! The food is consistently fresh and good and not like anything else you will get around Squaw. We started with the caeser salad each time and it is fresh and so good! The scallops, osso buco, halibut, and elk medallions have all been awesome! The wine list is great. But what really made our experience so special each time was dining at the bar with Graham and the people that we met and shared dinner with. Graham makes you feel as if you are enjoying dinner with friends in his own home. The service is top notch. We can’t wait to go back soon!

Beef, bison or elk — so hard to choose! All excellent and a bit out of the ordinary.

After eating at mediocre restaurants in Squaw Valley all week, we were all pleasantly surprised by Graham’s. The service was fantastic, there was a great wine list, and the food was great. I had the Buffalo ribeye which was probably the best meal at our table, but the fish and elk were also good.

Very enjoyable meal. Our appetizer was Alaska king crab. The crab was nicely done, and not over spiced. The main course was seafood and ravioli. Perfectly done mussels, fresh prawns, and mushroom ravioli. The sauce did not overpower the senses, and everything went well together. Will definitely return.

Graham’s is consistently amazing. If you want the best food and service that the Olympic Valley has to offer, forget the corporate options and head to the locals best kept secret… Graham’s. There is not an item on the menu that has not been perfected, and oh yeah, the new waiter started 26 years ago! Don’t make a mistake and miss Graham’s on you’re trip to Squaw. You’ll be back again and again. Oh, and please tell Graham I said Hi. He’ll be sitting at the front of the house swapping stories of history of Squaw Valley with the rest of the die hard locals.

Wonderful evening! We made reservations on a whim based on what we were told were our fine dining options. So glad we did. We were greeted at the restaurant by Graham himself. He was so polite and genuinely interested in his patrons! The meal was delicious. We started with a mixed green salad and my husband had the seafood chowder. We both enjoyed our selections and then for the main course had Chicken Roulade and Grilled Bison Ribeye. I loved the chicken and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. For dessert had the tarte tartin and some Inniskillin ice wine — our favorite. We were staying at the resort at squaw creek and they will call the shuttle for you! We had about a 20 minute wait and Graham treated us to a port each and sat and chatted with us at the bar. It was wonderful! So nice to have personal treatment from an owner. You can tell it is his life — he enjoys it. The bartender was great too — she was super friendly and made it enjoyable as well! Could not be happier with our visit to Graham’s!

Best dining experience in squaw. Plumpjack close second! Graham is amazing. Friendly fun. Exceptional wine cellar. Food is consistently good. I’ve been eating there for years! Not as much as I’d like but it is a special occasion place for us, especially since we had kids.

Best dining experience in Squaw Valley! We met Graham the head chef and namesake who was charming and hospitable. Russell Poulson carries the family torch and represents the history of Squaw Valley. It was a pleasure meeting both of these men.

The restaurant is great! Our waiter was extremely friendly and the food was very good. I’d recommend trying the seafood chowder and the filet. Both of these really stood out to me. Also, their deserts are top notch.

Our new favorite dinner place at Squaw. Graham and Scott are charming and friendly! It’s housed in the first house built in Squaw and has two nice fireplaces. The food is delicious — see our photos. We also got a beautifully made Old Fashioned… Oh, and be sure to try the garlic artichoke spread with the warm bread. Just be sure to come — a real gem!

Every time I eat at Grahams I am extremely happy with the food, wine selection and mostly the service. They really know how to make you feel right at home! #1 place in Squaw Valley!!!

We managed to get a reservation at the last minute at this place, and it’s truly a gem in North Tahoe. The elk chop was smoky and beautifully cooked. And the buffalo osso buco was absolutely fantastic. The gentleman serving us was also a wine connoisseur and helped us choose a lovely meritage. A great place for a nice dinner by Squaw Valley. Thank you Graham and co!

The food was delicious. Very gourmet. The servers were somewhat snooty. We came with a group of 7 and when we asked for a photo, the male server looked annoyed. The waitress we had was nice but also seemed annoyed when we paid with for different cards. She said the policy was 3 only. The food was very good. Small portion sizes.

I was hoping for a nice, quiet civilized dinner given the reviews and that they don’t recommend children under 12. WRONG!!! The place has terrible acoustics compounded by the fact there was a white trash wedding rehearsal dinner. Guys wearing baseball caps with sunglasses On their head with $ 40 entrees? Other patrons wearing shorts with flip flops. Pla-ease! Asked to have our table moved from the mosh pit and was told there was no other tables in the quiet side of the restaurant. Did offer to seat is at the bar Inattentive service decent food. This place hit its prime 20 years ago. Go somewhere else where they understand«dining experience.» F

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, lovely service. An excellent time! Everything we had was a delight, the salmon was«some of the best I’ve ever had» according to my brother and the duck was delicious. We also had basically everything on the dessert menu, and it was grand. Just delightful, be sure and check it out!
