Kind of a hidden barn. The staff is really nice. If you’ve never smoked hookah before this place would be fine. If you smoke hookah a lot or have smoked good hookah overseas, I wouldn’t recommend it here. Place is very dark and would be cool if I were 18 with some friends to hang out.

Cool place to hang out and smoke. Hookah was average but the vibe of the place was pretty cool. And people from olympia are super friendly so it’s a good place to make friends :)

Being from a country where Hookah is a common thing, i would not come back for this place again. Really good staff but hookahs are made by americans with no experience. Not good at all but clean. Located in a small house not bad place and the music is not loud as other places. Good place to relax but not to smoke.

If you’re looking for somewhere to disappear from the world for a few hours, consider The Hookah Barn. I came here for New Year’s Eve with a friend. We came with the intention of smoking a bit before hitting a music venue for the midnight countdown. We never made it to the venue. We walked in, perhaps a bit over dressed, and were greeted by a very nice guy who welcomed us and gave us the run-down. You buy a 1-year membership for $ 5(we got the NYE discount, so we paid $ 1) and it comes with the disclaimers(no drugs, no booze, you break it you buy it, and don’t blame us if you hurt yourself like an idiot). You rent your hookah and pick your flavor and then pick your seat and enjoy. The gentleman behind the counter asked«what kind of mood are you in?» It was New Year’s friggin Eve, so I said«celebratory!» So he recommended their flavor of the day — Rainbow Burst(oslt). He explained what flavors were in it, but I was barely paying attention. I’m not picky and I like rainbows so we went for it. We found a couch and sat. It’s a small place that I would imagine could get very crowded, but on this NYE it was not, so we had our nook to ourselves. The entire place is very dark with glow in the dark posters and blacklights everywhere. It feels totally illicit, like I’m back in college hanging out with people my parents definitely would not approve of, doing things my parents will never find out about. But it’s totally safe and legit. The music is whatever they feel like playing. When we arrived it was predominantly EDM, but then it moved on to some hip hop and then some great Michael Jackson medley. My friend put in a couple of requests that they were happy to oblige. The service is great — they were just attentive enough to make sure our coals were hot, but not the least bit intrusive. Everyone was super friendly. I can’t imagine why not — best job ever, right? Someone wanted to chill out with their friends all day, playing great music and mixing great shisha flavors, so they turned it into a business. Isn’t America awesome?!
