The Blend Café

Such a cute place with great food and great customer service! Today was my first time there. It was fairly empty and very quiet which I appreciate because walking in downtown Olympia during lunch hour it seemed like every restaurant and café was packed to the gills.
I arrived right when it opened (11am) and was greated with a warm smile. I ordered half a cold sandwich (shrimp salad on whole grain) a dessert platter (caramel topped brownie, spice cake with white chocolate chips baked in topped with cream cheese frosting and a coconut macaroon that had a taste of almond). To drink I had a cup of tea (they had a variety of Tazo brand tea bags to choose from for my single cup but the table next to mind ordered a pot of tea and I think their pot came with loose leaf tea)
Its a walk in café but for a full tea set up with scone platters and more, you have to call a day in advance for that. The table next to me had this and their place was prepped and ready for them before they arrived.
I ate and drank everything I was served including the complimentary ice water LOL. It was all good! The bathrooms are clean and cute with flowery sink basins and matching wall tiles and you need an electronic key to enter the bathroom which is cool.
They accept cash, debit and credit including… American Express! Woo Hoo! It’s rare to find a small business that accepts Amex so this was awesome.

What an AWESOME place! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful! Went with my sister and it was PERFECT! If there was ONE thing that could possibly make it better it would have been a glass of wine! LOL. just throwing it out there. :) But will for sure go back!
