Been to this location before, got friendly service and good food. Today the servers are not even present, was a little wait to be seated and when we were seated were not even talked to or even greeted friendly. Was almost 10 mins into seating and my group walked out. Servers didn’t even bother us or try to ask us what was going on if we’re leaving or coming back. 1 star today sharis.

Horrible!!! There is a reason why older people eat here as it is a proven fact that as we age, your taste buds go. Where to start… the coffee was disgusting, very small portions, very expensive especially for what you get, the clam chowder tasted very fishy(not supposed to be), and very slow for being at 2:30pm on a weekday. I ordered the lunch special which came with half a sandwich, soup, and a piece of pie. The sandwich was on regular wheat bread, not the roll it was supposed to be on, and was lacking in flavor. The soup I already mentioned. The pie, which I ordered the Oregon Hazelnut pie was gross, oily, and small. My husband ordered this back burger thing which was the only thing that was good. Our total bill for those two lunches and coffee came out to $ 27…that is ridiculous. Choose anything else, but here!!!

Very rude hostess and would not seat me. She sat others but ignored me. When she finally acknowledged me she just walked away and got busy doing something else. I left.

This Shari’s sucks! For the second time in the last month I was left standing in the lobby while all the staff ignored me! When I called to complain Marie the manager rudely thanked me for my input and hung up on me! Unfortunately Unilocal won’t let me choose no stars.

Food is generally pretty good, st aff is always polite. Pie is the bomb, ambiance is typical diner style. Greg is an amazing server, and Dan the manager is a gem. Not a huge fan of the new bacon, but honestly that’s my only issue I’ve ever had with the place.

WONDERFUL service. Clean and simple. Recommend this for a family get together or quick bite. My server was extremely professional and efficient.

Shari’s has changed for the better. Staff is more attentive, decent changes in the menu, and in all a tad more clean. My favorite since some time now is their breakfast panini with fruits in the side, great quality, very tasty and not too fat. My wife love he spring omelette and the stuffed hash browns . Like I said revisiting and seeing what changed pays off!

Glad we choose Shari’s to eat tonight. Our waitress was great and the chicken salad sandwich was very tasty, but the best part was the pie.

Ever the sucker for optimism, I tried this place again. And sure enough, I was not dissapointed. Just as bad as ever. I ordered a «Deli-style» Pastrami on Rye. When they said«Deli-style», I thought they meant New York Deli. No such luck. They meant New Deli, India. The sandwich was comprised of two 3′ x 5′ inch pieces of imitation rye, and was so thin, if you held it up b;y it’s fur, you could see through it. I’ve been all over the country, and for $ 13.00, that was the worst– actually, pathetic — Pastrami sandwich I’d ever seen. In New York Delis, people get shot for Pastramis twice as good. When will I ever learn.. .. .

The food was great and the prices were OK, but I never leave here filling full like most places I eat at. I had the breakfast sampler with orange juice. Good quality food just not quite big enough portions to fill you up. I asked the waitress how much for extra eggs and hash browns she said about $ 7 ! Like holy cow I’m fine with my $ 10 breakfast platter.

Look, if you read my reviews, you know I don’t truck with the chain stores, even local chains, if I can help it. But sometimes a man is in an unfamiliar town and he needs to strap the feed bag on without expending a lot of mental energy, and that’s how he ends up at Shari’s with a lot of people who have fetal alcohol syndrome. Service was okay, décor was dreary, food was decent, pies were as good as their rep. Here’s the thing, though: an actual menu item you can get at Shari’s is a piece of pie pulverized inside a milkshake. Contemplate that for a moment. A PIECEOFPIECRUSHEDALLUPIN A MILKSHAKE. Someone at Shari’s corporate training kitchen said«hey you know what? our pies are the bomb digit but you know what would make them even more diggity? if we literally took the pie and put it in a goddamn milkshake and then mixed the two things the fuck together like we were madmen instead of human people who have to live in this world.» And instead of locking him in an asylum for crazy nuts, they followed his plan, and now he is probably a millionaire and you can get a SHAKEWITH A PIEINIT at Shari’s.

Always love eating at shari’s. Their express lunch trio is outstanding and so worth the price. We got a server name Brandi. Nice and very attentive. We came home very full with smile

We walked in, they seated the people who walked in right before us, and completely ignored us. None of the many employees I saw acknowledged us. I am a host at a restaurant and I understand when you have other things to do, but to not even say«someone will be right with you» or smile in a customers direction is ridiculous. We walked out after waiting for 5 minutes. Plus everyone looked miserable.

The waitress advised me to order the larger cranberry juice because the«featured» size was small. Well the«large» juice was about six ounces. The hot turkey sandwich was made with salty, lunch meat turkey, and really only half a sandwich with gelatinous gravy, and no dressing. The mashed potatoes were so cold I couldn’t eat them and the salad was bagged wilted lettuce, a few cucumber slices and shredded carrots, with ONE grape tomato. They have the nerve to charge extra for this. The cranberry sauce tasted like it had been sitting in an open can for weeks. The«sandwich» was topped with canned fried onions. When a customer doesn’t eat their meal because it tastes so bad, you’d think the waitress would ask if anything was wrong with the meal. She didn’t. I gave her a 20 percent tip, but wished I didn’t. I won’t be back.

The service was great! Have to give a shout out to our server… Who’s name i cant remember. I think it was Elsie or Essie or something like that. Either way she was great. Food was nothing special. We had to leave a passed out(slightly intoxicated) friend there while we got others home(we had a transportation issue). Essie kept an eye on him, brought some coffee and food and made a potentially bad night much easier to deal with. We came back picked him up and made sure to leave a tip ;) THANKYOUESSIE!(Or whatever your name was… Im really sorry i cant remember.)

Wow tonight was a bust! Went for a quick dinner before the weather got to bad. Walking in we were greeted with a smell of dirty socks and wet dog. At our table we were greeted nicely by our server. Ordered drinks and then noticed a mouse TURD… yes that’s right a mouse TURD on the table. Too bad we had all ready started our meal. Food was blah. I ordered breakfast sampler platter and the eggs were not completely cooked. Bacon was burned to a char in places. Then you add in the pancakes that were brought to me swimming in the berry topping rather then putting it on the side. By the time I finished my meat and eggs the pancakes were a soggy mess! I wouldn’t normally trash a place like this but it was such a crappy experience compared to my usual. I hope the health dept. see’s this and takes a look around.

DONOT order the«prime rib dinner.» Never had anything that was tougher or more tasteless. Unseasoned. A true disappointment. Only the onion rings were worth eating. They have destroyed their once good quiches by separating the cheese from the dish.(Is it still quiche with grated cheese sprinkled on top???) Plus is the fresh strawberry pie and the terrific waits(service). Iced tea is always great.

Literally THEWORST costumer service I have seen in any restaurant or other business that requires costumer service. I walked in and was ignored by the hostess. Five minutes after I walked in, another party walked in and was seated immediately. I left and went to the Subway across the street. This level of customer service is, frankly, unacceptable in any kind of business setting.

Recently my son and I have gotten into the habit of going out to breakfast two or three times a week and in doing so made our own unofficial rating of the three chain coffee shops that are located here locally. I don’t know how we decided to do this instead of visiting purely local places and reviewing them but it most probably had to do with the fact that we had coupons to each one of these restaurants, Shari’s, IHOP, and Denny’s. Okay, I know we have not set a high bar for ourselves, but our idea was to be able to go out to breakfast and not go bankrupt and to fulfill our curiosity about the difference between what theoretically could be called«identical» chains. I am not going to review a specific visit but attempt to offer some reasoning to our choosing. We will first approach Shari’s. I really want to like Shari’s but I find myself with a certain about of ambivalence. Shari’s does seem to have a better quality in the food they offer than the other two, and a wide and varied selection on their menu. They do leave a thermos carafe at the table when one orders coffee(albeit the carafe is about half the size of the one at IHOP) so one always has a refill of hot coffee that is actually pretty good brew for a chain coffee shop offering. The food is pretty good as mentioned, the restaurant is clean, and Shari’s offers WIFI which is a real plus in my book. Now for the negatives. We ALWAYS have to wait for a table at Shari’s, no matter how busy they are. I don’t know if this is because they don’t have an assigned hosting position or if it is inattention on the part of the person in that position, but we have always had to wait at least a minute and sometimes up to five minutes to be seated. Did I mention that we always go mid-morning on a weekday? Not a weekend day, or during the breakfast rush but usually about 10:00am so to my mind this is mysterious. Shari’s WIFI doesn’t cover the whole restaurant. Whining you say? Perhaps. But if one is going to offer WIFI then it should be of equal strength over the whole restaurant or perhaps they should offer a WIFI section. It’s a little thing, but what can I say, it bugs me! Shari’s portions are sometimes small, and occasionally, ridiculously so. I am posting a picture of a «featured» sirloin steak breakfast. Seriously, the steak was approximately 2“x2″ and was about $ 10.00, Here again, if you are going to offer steak breakfast don’t throw down a piece of beef the size of a good sized chunk of stew meat. The Senior breakfasts, which are offered at a discount are significantly smaller than the regular menu offering. If it is a discount then, again to my mind, it should be the same thing at a discounted price. Perhaps rather than a separate but not equal«Honored Guest» menu just offer a 10% discount across the board to seniors(and throw in the military on that while you are at it!)
