I have never had a bad meal here! We get take out from Narai every weekend, and it’s always fresh and delicious. I go with the Pad Kee Mao and my fiancé gets the Pad Thai. Both are dishes that you can’t go wrong with. The peanut sauce is easily the best I’ve ever had. Sometimes I’ll even stop by just for a side of it and bring it home and put it on some rice or chicken!

I moved from Seattle about six years ago, and it took me a while to find comparable Thai food. I finally found it at Narai. They are consistently delicious, and the service is always friendly and fast. Dine in and take-out are both top notch.

While good it was a little on the bland side. I ordered the spring rolls and the pad kee mow with three stars spicyness. I couldn’t even taste the spice and had to douse it in chilli powder. The spring rolls were about the same. The one thing that really stood out was the tai iced tea which was extremely good, but unfortunately that couldn’t make up for the lack luster performance of the entrée keeping this a three star review.

Pretty decent thai food. Definitely not my favorite by any means but still pretty good. Came on a busy night but the waitstaff made it a point to make sure we had enough water always.

I’ve really debated between giving this a 1 or 2 star. For overall experience, I give 1. Food was decent but nothing special. To start off with the food, my yellow curry was lacking in flavor and had practically no potatoes(my favorite part) in it. The portion of rice to curry was extremely skewed, and I barely had enough rice to cover more than a few bites. I decided to take the rest as leftovers so I could pour it over rice there. I had intended to ask for extra rice, but before I could even tell the server that I needed anything she put the check on my table while I was still eating with a full plate. She never asked how our food was or refilled our drinks. I had been interested in grabbing dessert, but after that brusque treatment decided to cut my losses. The food was nothing special and the service atrocious; I’ve received better customer service at Burger King. I cannot believe this place has a «best of» rating on their door. Will not return. With the great selection of Thai food in the area, don’t waste your time or money here.

Liked the flavor of Tom Yum soup, but they bolied seafoods a bit too long. Scallop got too small and squid was a bit chewy. Larb gai was a bit different than what i have had…

I was hopeful that this place would be exceptional after reading rave reviews on Unilocal and seeing a «Voted Best Of» sign out front. Unfortunately it was kind of a dud. Nothing horrible, nothing great. Just standard food that could have been packed with a lot more flavor.

By far my favorite place to eat in the entire state of Washington I highly recommend the fresh rolls, but my favorite is PUMPKINCURRY !!! Omg you haven’t lived until you try this. It is comfort food, and so good for you. I love coming here because everything about it is comforting to me. Their brown rice is exceptional. They have actual options for hot tea as well. I could go on all day.

This place is sooooo good. My boyfriend and I popped in here after walking around aimlessly in Olympia and I’m so glad we did! The Penang curry here is delicious; probably better than any I’ve had in Seattle. My boyfriend really liked his Tomyum soup, too. I’d definitely come here again the next time we find ourselves in Olympia!

Stopped in here on a Saturday night, I was sold on the first page of the menu with the pumpkin curry! It was great, had some great flavor or spices and pumpkin. Their Pad Thai was delightful too! Also I sorb mind spending $ 3.83 for a blue moon!

Very impressed. Loved the curry, I tried the pumpkin with chicken based on a recommendation from the waitress. I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the ambience, the soothing sound of water was very pleasant. And the Thai iced tea was excellent too. They also asked how spicy I like it from 1 to 4. I said 5. It could have been spicier, but most westerners don’t like it mind blowing hot, but I do! I hope to return one day when I’m back in town.

Stopped here after a couple of fantastic days in Seattle. Starting the drive back home on August 1st. Thought it would be interesting to see Washington’s capital city. Kids requested ethnic food while there. My brother Unilocaled Narai up and off we went. Walking several blocks from where we parked the car, we rejected another possible restaurant as looking edgy. Narai was attractive once we got inside, so it seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately, they were understaffed and provided poor service without apologies for delays. Felt like there was a lack of attention, too. The server would hide behind the counter in the middle of the restaurant and avoid eye contact. Am not very versed on Thai dishes, so I just requested a dish with noodles, chicken, and vegetables. Left the ordering to my bro, Dear Hubby, and the kids. We ordered a variety and shared family style. As with many of the restaurants we’d been to in Oregon, we returned to frustratingly slow service in Olympia after we’d had better luck in Seattle. And I was actually scolded by the server when I ordered one of the dishes by number. «No numbers!» Right. And that’s why they’re on the menu? I didn’t put them there — you folks did. I got up to find a server to take our order after we sat and sat without attention for a long time. We told them we were passing through and would appreciate the food to come out quickly. Guess that was a big mistake. Once the food came, everyone seemed to enjoy it reasonably well. Of course, we were famished after a long day of touring around. The true Thai connoisseurs reported it was okay, but not remarkable. Tables were tight; space at a premium. Plates weren’t removed as we finished. It’s always a joy to look at the graveyard of your meal sitting in front of you while you try to catch the server’s eye to get your check. If we lived nearby, I’d have to call this, «One and done.»

Spring Rolls: Very good. It needs the dipping sauce for flavor but the texture was nice and crispy. Priced high though. Pad Thai: Great flavors — nice blend of sour sweet and spice. The salt was a bit too much though. Portion was generous. Ambience: Small but decent interior. Off a busy one-way street. Metered parking Verdict: good food. Next I’d ask them to go easy on the salt

We tried this place for the first time today because we are down in Olympia and we saw that it had high ratings through Unilocal. We were very happy with C selection and quality of food offered. We ordered the stir fried calamari and chicken pad kee mo and really loved it! We both love spicy, so we made it a point to order Thai spicy(), not American spicy() and we were very satisfied. :)

The food was very tasty and prices where fair for the amount of food you get. Unfortunately, two of the three of us found hair in our food. The service was horrible. There was no one in the restaurant and we had to wave over service multiple times. She never asked us if we wanted drinks other than the floaty filled water we recieved before ordering. The water by the way is filled ahead of time and sitting on a back counter uncovered. No wonder it was warm and had floaties. No need to have stagnant water cups when there is literally one table filled in the building. Good luck!

From a former manager for another Thai Restaurant : Good: Open later than other places. Food cook very fast. Ambience is nice and romantic. Bad: Over sweetening, lack of authenticity, shortcut through ingredients, not spicy enough, doesn’t give a lot of food. The servers have negative attitudes and aren’t flexible. Improvements: Thai food doesn’t cost much as far as ingredients or amount of time it takes to marinate. However, this place rush right through my meal. The steak are impossible to eat because it’s required a new set of teeth afterward. Servers need to smile more. Remove the lychee from the curry!

Went here the night of Procession of the Species. It was packed, but still managed to find a little table in back. The food was good, service was fast considering how full they were. Staff were friendly.

I ordered tofu fresh rolls, thai iced tea, and chicken phad thai. The iced tea and phai thai were great! I had to ask for extra spices so I could add spice to my meal. I was disappointed that the tofu in my fresh rolls were not cooked, and the rolls themselves were super small. Thought it was cool that the rolls came with two different sauces though.

I ordered the Jungle curry with tofu, which is very tasty and the veggies(eggplant!) are exceedingly fresh. But, hey, why is it a soup? I was thinking it would be a soupy thick curry but this is in like a broth. Cute little place and there were several other things on the menu that sounded great(like the pineapple fried rice) so I’ll come back and give it another shot next time I’m in town.
