I wouldn’t call this a park as a few other previous reviews said, but it’s a really cute little garden right next to the Farmers Market! This garden has lots of different seats and little walkways to explore their various different flowers and plants. When the Farmers Market is open, more people seem to take advantage of this nice garden. I personally think it’s great to grab a snack and sit, relax and enjoy downtown Olympia. The garden probably looks pretty dead in the winter but currently(April 2015) lots of flowers are blooming. If you’re unsure of a type of plant or flower they have, they may have a little sign near the bottom of the plant stating what it is.

I agree with Fengie’s review. I would almost hesitate to even call this a park as it’s so small. I went during the fall/winter, so of course the place was looking dormant and dismal. I think it could be quite lovely in the spring/summer as the flowers and herb garden would be in bloom. I believe this is maintained by WSU, so you don’t have to worry about it looking all trashy or any vagrants sleeping in the area. I will definitely try this place again in the spring/summer as it looks like it could be quite radiant and well stocked, but right now it’s only good for a passing through.

This is a neat little garden. It has a gravel path that takes you near many planted areas. Many of the plants are labeled, which is nice. It has two picnic tables – one near the bird feeders and the other table on the far end by the ATM. Gallacci Garden Park has an artificial marsh where you can see red-wing black birds. The bird feeders are always crammed with various types of other birds. The large tree in the middle of the gravel path has a nice circular bench around it. There is also a small arbor that has an attached bench. There are a few other benches on the sidewalk outside of the garden. It’s a great place to sit down and have lunch and is very kid friendly. Gallacci Garden Park is not pet friendly. Pets are not allowed in the park.
