I started going to Sybil when I was over 30 and 100 lbs. overweight. I struggled deeply with depression and had NOEXERCISE background! Walking would wind me sometimes and I never felt like moving. I went to her because I knew that I never succeeded on my own and didn’t know how to start or keep going when I felt the desire to lose weight and feel better. Honestly, I cannot say enough good about my time with her! Upon our first meeting, she really listened. She heard and validated everything I said about my struggles with weight/exercise/mood and gave me a clear impression about how to proceed for my individual needs. I love that I never felt like I jumped into a pre-programmed fitness régime… like a ‘once size fits all’ boot camp! What struck me as especially appealing about my first few meetings was that she is very personable. I love that! She shows true compassion for the things you share and is really present in everything you say to her. And on the other hand as we started working she retained that and was also very direct and detailed in all of her instruction and expectations! She expects a lot, but she knows how much to ask and she really pays attention to your needs during a work out. I loved that she seemed to really believe in me when I’d look at her thinking, «you want me to try what???» I learned to trust her knowledge about training and how the body works. I can say that even after the first day, I never ever left her feeling overly sore or worse off. I always felt energized and ready to try more. She speaks to you honestly and gives you clear instructions along the way. There was never a time she seemed irritated with my questions and I appreciated that! I also appreciated that with as out of shape as I was, she never made me feel embarrassed if I had to ask questions or ask her to repeat the instructions for something we did just the day before. She is incredibly encouraging! She expects a lot out of you, but her belief in you along the way is an extra bonus. Probably one of the most pleasant surprises is her sense of humor :) When you are with her, she is ready to work… but she is very funny and it is always a pleasure to go to the training sessions! I’d give her 100 stars if I could! :-)
