Pineapple & strawberry bubble tea. Plus some amazing fresh spring rolls for appetizers. After looking through the menu I realized it changed and was notified they changed it over the new year. I did not regret it at all!!! I stopped in late evening on a weekday it was quiet and the owners themselves were attending to my friend and I. Such a sweet and humble owner. I devoured my spring rolls and even had to take my extra home because of how big they were. By the time my phó was ready I could not believe the portion. Some of the best I have tried hands down. Just what I need on a grey cold Olmypia day! Definitely going back to warm up with their amazing food and new bubble tea flavors. Definitely one of my favorite places in Olympia!

Ordered take out and food quality wasn’t what I paid for. I would’ve gotten better quality at a fraction from Safeway. Sweet and sour chicken had something that tasted old.

It’s a hot day and the air conditioning isn’t on. The restaurant is uncomfortably warm. The décor itself is nice. The coffee isn’t anything special. The food was bland. The price was standard for Chinese food. Sat at a front window seat, facing an ugly construction site across the street. The waiter didn’t bring or offer water. They’re cutting costs, it seems. I don’t think I’d go back. There wasn’t anything all that bad about it, but the experience was comparable to what I could do for myself at home, for twice the cost. There’s much better available in this neighbourhood.

My boyfriend ordered the Tokyo Street Noodles, and I ordered the Wonton Dumpling soup and the chicken saté with a side of rice. I had plenty of joy with my dinner, but his was downright strange! There was an overwhelming spice in it(cinnamon??) that tasted nothing like anything I ever had in Japan. It also had some heat to it(cayenne??) that is completely out of character for Japanese food. I would never order it again. We left scratching our heads over that one. The service was perfect as always: friendly, timely, wonderful efficient! Thank you! We’ll be back, but we will stay far away from the one dish.

Hubby and I split the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and the Pad Thai. There was plenty of food for both of us — and it was good. Great service from our male server; friendly and attentive. Only downside; they could wash the walls in the corner where we were sitting. It won’t keep us from coming back though.

I have been coming here religiously for the past few years with my boyfriend, and we absolutely love this place. The whole staff is so friendly, helpful and quick, giving us fantastic service. The menu has a lot to choose from, and just about everything can be made vegan, which is awesome. We love their fresh spring rolls, as well as their Singapore noodles and Tokyo Street noodles(veganized). Go check them out!

I really enjoyed the cashew chicken stir fry, it was flavorful and the vegetables crisp. The service was great. The pad Thai is also amazing. There’s construction across the street but it did not interfere with finding parking.

The food here. I am in awe always walked by this place. Never stumbled in. But after checking their reviews i figured I’d give it a go. Man. Wow. I wish I would have visited this establishment. sooner. A place to visit.

I don’t eat in the downtown Olympia area much and my friend and I are trying to step outside of each of our boxes and just pick a place and go. I am really glad we went here because it was so good. The menu is written so that meat is optional. So you basically could get most of the items on the menu with meat or tofu or without. Everything tasted fresh as well. My friend got the pad Thai with chicken and I had the tofu bento box which was so cute and delicious. There was a lot of food too for one person in the bento box so I almost didn’t need the appetizers. Sadly, the bubble tea was not so good. I’m not sure if that is how they regular make the teas but it was the powdered bubble tea mixed with water or milk with large ice cubes in it. It wasn’t blended at all. The bathroom was small and leading up the bathrooms is very dark. The ambience is casual/dinner date conversation space. It has general but not overwhelming décor. The waiter is not weird as some people say, he gives the place a little character and seems to have an accent which is slightly exotic. Also, it’s not easy to wait tables and he made sure we had everything we needed before we even asked. Overall, two people $ 30 for entrees and two appetizers and bubble tea and regular tea.

This is an Asian fusion restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic, this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for good tasting Asian food at a decent price and quick friendly service, this is the place! Their spring roll appetizers are big enough for a meal if you’re not super hungry. The chap chay(sp) is my favorite version of the Korean potato noodle dish. They’ve also got a lot of healthy options if you’re looking for that. And best is that you can get a boba to go after your meal.

First time in. Pricey menu for a low rent looking establishment. Had the teriyaki chicken. Enormous portion of chicken. Rice was dry as a bone, no lunch specials, not even a fortune cookie. I’d like to try one of the noodle dishes, but it was way too pricey for lunch.

Went here the other day for the first time. Waiter was very odd. I think he was schizophrenic that believed he was a French magician.(Mind you we are in an Asian place) He continued to call my wife«MA’DAM!» and made these odd hand gestures while bowing and backing away from the table. Food was average at best.

The service is a bit slow, and the prices are a bit high for the amount of food you get. That being said, I do like their boba drinks — their boba is tastier than Happy Teriyaki’s on Legion Way a few blocks down, however they use powder for most of their drinks aside from their Thai Tea drink.

This place was awesome! I went in with 3 kids under 6 and the staff was great, they were super attentive, great food menu with tons of choices. We got the teriyaki, bento box and glass noodles. We loved it all! I’ll be eating here a lot more often when we get moved to the area!

I stopped into Chopsticks after finding next-door Saigon Rendezvous closed for renovations. I have to admit that I’ve never been very interested in eating there just because there are many Asian restaurants in Olympia that serve more authentic food. Chopsticks doesn’t seem to offer anything distinctive. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and was actually pleasantly surprised to find the meat was well-cooked and the dish fairly stocked with veggies. It was ruined for me, however, by an overabundance of sticky, sweet sauce. I believe that food is best when the flavor of the ingredients comes through. In this dish, the ingredients didn’t have a chance. I had a funny exchange with the cashier on the way out. He told me that they got rid of fortune cookies to cut down on expenses and«not push the extra cost on to the customers.» It made me laugh a bit because I didn’t notice my meal being particularly affordable. In fact, I’d say that I spent $ 12 on an $ 8 lunch. If they want to save cost, I think they’d be better off cutting down from a bucket to a ladle of sauce per dish. This is America, don’t deny the people our cookies.

Nice job on the Rangoon, sweet chile sauce was a nice accent to the flavor. Lemon grass skewers(chicken). Nice flavor, served fresh fresh and hot. Good selection, will be back when I am downtown to try more. Staff was helpful and nice.

I normally go to Saigon next door because I like their fried wontons… But the place is run down and their salad rolls often taste fishy/bad. So, I thought I’d try Chopsticks this time. I had the pork skewer bento box. I was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was great too. I’m definitely coming back!

I feel like I’m reading a schizophrenic’s journal when I read the previous reviews of Chopsticks, and if I wanted to do that I’d read my own journal. How can some say the spring rolls and bubble tea are brilliant, while others complain about how bad the spring rolls and bubble tea are, we wonder? More importantly, how can Thai Pavilion have more stars than Chopsticks? I think either those ratings were switched at birth, or the average Asian-cuisine-eating Olympian is being quite shrewd and talking up the mediocre spots while down-playing the good joints so that their favorite places don’t get too busy. Well, I’m about to blow the curve if it’s the latter, because I’m letting everyone know that, having eaten here about 10 times over the past couple of years, I can tell you that this is a fine place for either lunch or dinner. For starters(I would tell you the upcoming pun is unintentional, but you probably wouldn’t believe me), the flash-fried springs rolls truly are tasty(as is the delectable dipping sauce), and the salad rolls are huge and the hoisin sauce complement those well. Likewise, the crab rangoon are a nice light golden brown and among the best I’ve had. I can’t speak to the bubble tea, because I don’t want pudding pellets in my drink. With regard to entrees: I’ve had both pork and chicken skewers, with and without salad, and they’ve always been very tasty, though occasionally a bit fatty with the pork. Other selections, such as the Tokyo Street Noodles, have been good, though not exceptional. What I keep going back for, though, is the Singapore Noodles, which is my favorite Chinese dish. My personal preference is for a tiny bit more curry and oil than they put in the mix, but that’s just me quibbling(a favorite pastime of mine) — the dish is excellent as they prepare it, with fresh, crispy cabbage and perfectly prepared meats. You don’t have to thank me, but please do tip your wait-person appropriately!
