Came here yesterday for a quick lunch. First time here so was not sure what the procedure was. Didn’t get greeted… We sat ourselves at a table for 4. I asked for a menu and the girl pointed to the wall and said that was the menu… A mom and young son came in and she ordered at the counter and I overheard the girl ask for here or to go so I got up and went to the counter to order. My father in law and I ordered a medium phở dac biet($ 7) and a bun bo hue($ 8) for my husband egg rolls(3.50). The egg rolls were pretty good but small… But I guess that’s why you get 5 little ones instead of two big ones. I only wished they served it with lettuce and maybe some mints with more sauce than the tiny bowl we got. The phở broth was delicious but there wasn’t enough food in our bowl. I mean it was more like a small. It did have everything but just not enough so if you want a regular size bowl that you get somewhere else I suggest getting the large because he medium left us hungry still. My husband’s bun bo hue was a disappointment. His broth tasted like water with a hint of beef flavor. There was barely any meat in it. There were a couple of pâté slices and no pork hock or pork blood which is a staple in this dish. That was the whole point of my husband ordering. We wouldn’t go out of our way to come back here but if we’re close by and want a quick lunch we would stop by.

Love Love Love this little Asian Market. I looked them up online and then went and did my shopping. I was in town visiting family and wanted to make some bangin good food. This place may not be the largest market in the area but it has everything you need. Fresh Fresh Produce and Fresh Banh Mi French bread rolls. I highly recommend helping these guys out and buy from a local merchant that is really trying hard. Very Friendly and helpful

I used to eat here almost daily. Good, cheap deals on food and a convenient Asian market next door. They have everything you need to cook up a curry and your favorite snacks. Check out the coconut ice cream, just $ 1! Docking two stars because of a disturbing pattern of accidentally getting pieces of chicken or other mystery meat in my tofu dishes. I am always clear with my simple orders, and the first two times I let them know and they gave me a free replacement, but for this to keep happening is a real bummer. Shame, I was a regular, and now I avoid the restaurant like the plague.

They have the best Vietnamese food in Olympia and Lacey area. Their Phở soup is delicious!

This used to be my favorite Vietnamese place. I started eating here back when they just started and the special Phở and stir fried beef noodles were amazing. Fast forward 15 years or more and the stir fried beef noodles are as good as I remember. But… the Phở is not, it most certainly had the«pre-prepared from a powdered soup packet» taste about it. The noodles were under cooked and the vegi offering was tiny. Still worth the trip for stir fried beef noodles though so I will continue to go, but will pass on the Phở.

I was quiet surprised by this place. I just moved to Olympia today and this was my first try and local and close. It’s an old outdated strip mall so it does not look inviting from the outside. But, like so many of the great little hole in walls the food is great. Inside its very clean, friendly and comfortable. The food was good and prices were right. I’ll be back here and you should give it a go for good Vietnamese food.

I love this place. Hole in the wall, family owned/operated, great food, great price, and Kim is awesome! I’m always going to be a regular. Not very aesthetically pleasing, but I don’t eat in the restaurant anyway.

Steak phở was Yuck. Skimpy grisly meat. The whole thing had a tainted flavor like it was spoiled. I’m not surprised to learn about the health code violations

Most reasonably priced for Olympia for banh mi. We didn’t have time to have ours toasted but the sandwiches met the standard for what we got. My wife asked for a grilled pork style(in Vietnamese) and we got the cold cut barbecue pork. So other than that miscue we this is so far good. We visit Olympia a few times a year, next time we’ll try phở here.

Seriously think before you eat… Was just about to partake in a afternoon lunch when I read the health inspector report published in the paper that found 80 health code violations. Public Records Published 8÷6÷2014 in the Olympian News Paper.

I went here yesterday and my phở had 2 pieces of meat in it. I have eaten here before and haven’t had this happen. The broth was good, but I want more meat than this. My daughter had the chicken phở and that had a good amount of meat. The flavor was good too. They certainly do not skimp on the bean sprouts and basil which is nice. I like their fresh spring rolls and my husband likes the banh mi. The market area is nice. It’s fairly well stocked. I love buying ginger here because the ginger root is always fresh and enormous!

A respectable bowl of Phở. Good Bahn Mi too. I have been coming here for years. They have switched ownership a couple of times and updated the interior. It is kind of a hole in the wall but the place for Phở in West Oly. The broth is fairly rich. They kind of skimp on the meat and veggies. It fullfils the Phở craving. Their other dishes are fresh and good too.

Really great veggie phở! Always fast fresh and really hot! Yum! the medium size is plenty. Then you can go next door to the market for dessert! Or other ingredients you can’t find normally at a conventional grocery store. :-)

Been trying Phở in LA(Phở 87), San Fransisco, Reno(Pho777), Capitol Market is yummy, affordable and the small made me full. =)

This is my go to when I need a quick snack or some terrific phở. Been coming here for years and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Store is great, Phở had virtually no meat in it. That’s $ 2.00 worth of soup and noodles with that little meat. It would be nice to have a wait person available too… I kept having to go to the counter and wait when I needed fish sauce, water, hot sauce…

I’m giving 2.5 stars to the Asian food market. I cannot vouch for the adjoining restaurant as I’ve not eaten there. My wife and I have been generally disappointed when we’ve visited the market. It’s a pretty small store and often does not carry the basic ingredients for which we are searching. The staff also cannot understand English well at all. On our latest visit, I asked for help to find a product and was escorted to the wrong product(only to come across the right product on a nearby shelf as I searched further). I do, however, appreciate the lights off when the sun is shining and keeping a make-shift cover over the open-air freezers. They are probably just cheap, but I’d prefer to think of them as energy efficient. We much prefer KN Halal Market in Lacey for our Asian food needs. However, if in a pinch for something right away, we would go to Capitol Market since we live in Olympia.

They have a name identity crises, but this small unassuming Asian market with a Phở noodle restaurant is inexpensive and yummy. It is definitely cheaper than the Phở franchises. And, there is a small asian food market next door.

Olympia isn’t exactly a mecca for foodies, given its lack of diversity and, well, lack of good foods. This place does the job pretty decently for phở. The broth is pretty tasty(but mostly tastes like pepper, if anything), and there’s a good amount of meat and noodles. The spring rolls were well enough, but way too huge. I’m no prude, but it felt a little obscene trying to get that girthy roll into my mouth. Yep, I said it. Ha! To be honest, I was a little more concerned with the fact that it kept falling apart as I ate it. I had to figure a way of eating it sideways and squeezing it together when I wasn’t biting so the precious contents didn’t just fall all over the table. The peanut sauce also left something to be desired. Too watery and not real… peanutty. The place loses a star because the service is nonexistent. Other than the young man who mostly works in the grocery part, the workers give off the impression that I’m intruding into their home and personal kitchen or something. They begrudgingly take your order and bring you the food. I also got the spring rolls a split second before I got my phở, which is kind of annoying. There was an awkward removing of the thick phallic object from my mouth and setting it down while trying to keep it intact, and rushing to put the bean sprouts and whatnot into the broth while it was still hot. One more thing. the chairs don’t fit the tables. Or you can’t sit under the edge of the table easily. The legs of the table connect aesthetically(?) under the tables in an arch, getting in the way of your legs. I just imagine sitting with 3 other people being potentially awkward. Don’t go to this place with really tall people or people with long legs. Summation: It’s decent. It does the job. Don’t count on service. :)
