Ann’s Barbershop on Harrison

My Dad’s fave shop! She is attentive and precise. Old school vibes of a barbershop where it is for conversation and a haircut. Not the «cookie cutter» production line vibe. Good people slower pace leads to a happier experience.

With an appointment I waited over 30 minutes to get my hair cut. She took a long time to cut my short hair and then asked my opinion. I told her that it was choppy in the back and I would appreciate a trim. She cut my hair and told me she needed to get to her next appointment. Before I left she gave me the phone number of other barbers in the area, passively telling me to not come back. It was extremely rude, I do wish her the best but it was by far the worst service I have ever received from a barber shop.
The haircut did look good though and it was cheap.

Ann took her time getting to know how I wanted my haircut & gave me one of my best haircuts. My hair is red & very thick so it shows every cut. Any mistakes & they stand out! Ann is an exceptional barber!

Ann was punctual in seeing me at my appointed time. Called in and set it up with Darwin, and the next day I received a great hair cut.
This was my first time as a beard grower, 83 days of growth and Ann gained my trust by keeping my hard earned length in check with a tidy trim.
She kept up a wonderful conversation throughout and I was entertained as we shared our common history through ownership of dachshunds.

I was highly offended when I went in and Ann said she couldn’t get to me. If she’s to busy for new clients I’ll go elsewhere. Also if you’re appt only then don’t take walk in clients. Horrible service

Just got my first haircut at this place and I’m very happy I did. Ann and her husband are very friendly, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the whole place has a very strong community vibe. I’ve found my new regular barber shop!

I walked into Ann’s Barber Shop today and it is absolutely the best experience I have ever had getting a haircut. Ann is fantastic at what she does and I will definitely be going back. I love my new haircut!

I came here for my first haircut since leaving the Army last April. After 10 years of having a clean shaven face and a medium fade I had grown my beard and hair out. Ann is a great professional that established a great look for me that fits my facial features and gave me a proper gentleman’s haircut. Police, EMS/​Fire, Military, and Veteran discounts. Appointment recommend. Con’s? She’s currently looking for help and has an open chair.

I love Anns Barbershop! It seems like it is hard to find a proper barber these days. There are plenty of people around who cut hair, but there is a big difference between a place like great clips and an actual barber. A barber is trained to cut men’s hair, specifically traditional styles. For example, I usually have my hair cut fairly short. Most places will do the whole job with the clippers which is fine for about 2 weeks. After that it starts to look bushy because of the way the clippers cut the hair. If you want a nice cut that will last a little longer, you need a barber who knows how to use scissors and keeps them sharp. Its the details like this that set Ann apart from the rest. She does an excellent job, has a really nice shop, and I actually enjoy getting my hair cut by her. She is a local business owner and her service is second to none. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Best barber in Olympia! Make sure to call ahead, though.

Amy, Anne’s partner in crime, was great. I remember getting my hair cut by my aunt when I was younger, and this feels the same. She is not on a timer, and will take the time to really make sure you get the look you want. I walked in just as the customer in front of me sat down in the chair, and she let me know it’d be about 40 min, she didn’t care if I left and came back, and she’d save my spot. Worth the wait. I haven’t felt like my barber understood what I was looking for this well in years. I almost don’t want to Unilocal this because I don’t want her to get too busy. Wonderful place, where you should leave the world for an hour and relax.
