The physical location is fantastic — the indoor and outdoor pools both have views of the ocean. Sadly, the place has really changed for the worse –before this place was Sanno and Fresh Salt, the service in the spa was warm and personal and the food in the restaurant was imaginative farm to table. Now, the whole place has a corporate feel and as others have noted, the therapists are mediocre at best and incompetent at worse. It is really too bad as coming here used to be such a treat! I tried asking name for some of the therapists who had been there for years I used to see — they had all left. The last time I came here, the therapist talked about herself throughout the treatment. Not what I wanted or paid for; and what she did to me was strictly meh. I have had much, much better elsewhere — and for less money, too. The only reason the place is getting two stars rather than one is the view. One more thing: they do NOTHING to control the noise level in the pool area – it is often filled with extremely loud(and sometimes drunk) hotel guests… I say«often» because I used to love coming here so much that I gave it several tries before I gave up on it. Really sad changes!

$ 289 for a couples massage that consisted of light rubbing and long pauses of no touching at all. I nearly said something I was so frustrated I was not being massaged the entire 50 minutes and then the bill is the worst. The indoor pool is tiny and smells like chemicals and outside is very tight and packed with tons of kids running around. Just awful.

I was very disappointed in this spa, and rarely write reviews. I surprised my mother for Mother’s Day and took her here. The staff was cold and very loud for a spa atmosphere. The girl who did my facial got creams in my eyes and my eyes were burning. She walked out the last 10 minutes and told me to relax and then quickly applied cream which she got in my mouth! I have been to many upscale spas and I would definitely NEVER recommend this place, especially for the $ 350 it cost me! Next time I’m going to Norwich spa where everyone told me I should have went. Save your money and go elsewhere.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the inn in December. It was a much needed break from work, children, and life and all lived up to our expectations and more except for the spa. I booked three days of services and kept waiting for it to get better. My husband cancelled his services after his first day, but I kept going. I asked for advice on possibly choosing the wrong services. I found the brochure to be misleading in their descriptions. I was pointed in the direction of the spa owner by the receptionist and waited to speak with her but she left too quickly for me to greet her. I then emailed her explaining my dissatisfaction and asking for guidance in choosing services and not only did she not return my email prior to my last day of services but she never responded at all. As a fellow business owner, I find that to be unacceptable. I can not fault the therapists but found all services to be mediocre and lacking. Nothing spectacular.

I have been coming here for three years. I love coming here for everything! They do everything from massages, waxing to nails! Everyone here has always been a pleasure to talk to. The only real complaint I used to have was with the answering of the phone, I would have to call several times in one day to make an appointment. That has been fixed and has changed dramatically! If you are going to get any nail service or eye waxing ask for Michelle!

I treated myself to a massage at Sanno this past Saturday. Everything was wonderful until the massage therapist talked to me the whole 50 minutes when I just wanted to relax and be quiet. Perhaps it was my fault that I didn’t say anything at the time. However, I spent over a hundred dollars and to be honest it was a mediocre experience at best. Needless to say, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

This is strictly for their customer service via telephone. I was trying to purchase a spa package for my parents as a gift and whoever answered the phone was one of the rudest beings. He promptly put me on hold after I explained what I was looking for(it was a simple request, i.e. tell me about your packages/what you have to offer). Nearly TWENTY minutes go by and their end of the line began ringing. Nobody answered after some 15 rings, so I hung up. Safe to say I won’t call back, totally not worth it. If I’m ever in the area(which is highly unlikely) I might go in. But for such rude service and astronomical prices, I think I’ll pass.

Amazing! This was my 1st spa experience ever. I never so much as had a facial before, and honestly I was nervous about the whole idea. I went with 5 of my friends(it was a wedding party), and they were more than accomodating. They worked with us to set up a great package. As soon as we walked in they greeted us, showed us were everything was and asked if we needed anything. They were all SO nice. Of course I can’t remember names(ugh). The place is gorgeous. They really made me feel comfortable, which I wasn’t expecting at all. My friends and I even said that we’re making it a point to come back soon.
