Now that summer is really here! Don’t miss out on this Sunday treat! MIRSINA’S, on Main Street, Old Saybrook, is a delightful family run restaurant, that is not your average eatery! They offer wonderful selections with Special Items that will turn your breakfast, brunch or lunch into a satisfying treat! When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the charming«Welcome Family Feeling».Each servers is cheerful & all of them, really make sure your order is taken without delay. We have been in MIRSINA’S when all the table were filled but the wait was minimum. Experience the menu & try some of the amazing dishes, you can even find a «Greek» spin on some tasty dishes! Really takes the«hum-drum» out of the same old dishes! But what is really nice, sitting outside. Their location is spot-on! It was simply charming… Relaxing! One other tip! If you hit MIRSINA’S on the right day. Ask for her Bagels, lox(salmon), cream cheese, red onion… A super N.Y. Treat! Right here in Saybrook. Momma MIRSINA, even whipped me up a lox, onion & eggs omelet! Delightful! OOOOPS…I almost forgot! Great cup of coffee! Exceptional food!, Cheerful service, Priced right! I would not miss this one! Highly Recommend!

Mirsina’s is a really good, normal breakfast place. The options on the menu were all pretty standard, but they come out super fast and they are well done. We kept with the standard and ordered three dishes. We got the Irish Benedict, which is poached eggs served on a patty of corned beef hash instead of Canadian bacon, a banana nut crunch pancake with chocolate chips, and an omelette with gyro meat. We left stuffed and only $ 25 lighter(without tip that is).

I tried this restaurant in Old Saybrook for breakfast. I could not have been happier! Good food, I had corned beef hash and poached eggs and a bagel, great sevice and reasonably priced. A really nice touch — I asked for a newspaper and they had one delivered to my table. A really good experience. I recommend it.

Incredible service family owned local restaurant food is amazing(homemade rice pudding to die for) we will be back often as we are local as well. I felt like I was visiting Athens again! Doesn’t get any better than that. Highly recommended

After reading reviews here I thought that maybe we came on an off day or with a new chef. We had gone to many restaurants at this location before it became Mirsina’s with mixed success. First, as it is listed as a greek restaurant, my wife ordered a favorite, Spanikopita. After about a 20 minute wait, we were told they were out. She changed her order to an omelet, and we were treated to another long wait. Food was somewhat mediocre and each dish was missing something important. Hospitality was gruff. Buffalo chicken wrap was so over sauced my «stomach of iron» 15 year old couldn’t eat it. Home fries were cold and oily, as if they were deep fried a while ago. Bill was $ 41 + tip for 4 people eating simple dishes anyone could have cooked at home, so I won’t be back.

Our favorite breakfast place on the shoreline! The eggs Benedicts are delish as are the omelettes. Had the cranberry walnut pancake special last week and it was heaven. The waitresses are very friendly and the food comes quickly. Prices are very reasonable and the servings are generous. Lunch is good too. Suffice it to say, you should eat here!

Outstanding breakfast! I had the scrambled eggs and bacon and strawberry banana pancake. My husband got an egg white omelette, both Wonderful! Our server was very friendly, very attentive and hard working given that the dining area was packed. We will definitely be back!

We love this place and go there all the time. Friendly, clean, convenient and great food. The owner Mirsina watches over everything to make sure everyone is happy. The staff is wonderful. We never had a bad meal. The salads are my fav! It’s fun, weather permitting, to sit outside. Very fair prices.

Ate breakfast there twice. First time got the veggie omelet with rye toast. Potatoes were ice cold and omelet was cold. Figured they were just having a bad day. Came back today wife had pancakes with«extra crispy» bacon and I had two eggs over easy with rye toast. Pancakes were raw bacon was not done. My eggs were cold, potatoes were cold and toast was cold. Not going back a third time. BTW that wait person was really nice and we did tip well both times but something is not right in the kitchen…

A great breakfast and lunch option in town! Big portions and good food, staff is also always very friendly. I love Greek food, but there are also a ton of options for those that prefer the normal American-type menu.
