Worst haircut I have ever gotten, but best shampoo/​head massage you could ask for with six bucks.

Was taken promptly however my entire haircut was rushed. I asked for an even trim and instead received the sides of my head shaved while nothing was cut off of the top. When I asked for a little more taken off the top the the woman rolled her eyes and sighed heavily. Worst service I have ever received. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BARBOR TO ANYONE

Nasty, rude, unprofessional receptionist! Was so mean & unpleasant to my husband and son that I was outraged. I called to complain and she was unapologetic and began to raise her voice to talk/​scream over me! I asked for the name of the owner and she would not tell me. Paid $ 40 for a kid’s haircut to be insulted by the receptionist! Unreal!!!

This is a fun place to take your boyfriend or hubby to for a haircut. They’ve made it into sort of a man cave, with a cigar room (with cigars for sale), lots of well organized reading material (mostly man-​friendly stuff), massage while getting hair cut, etc. You have the option to do a-​la-​carte service, i.e., if you don’t want a shampoo you pay less. They seem to have a large staff so even if you show up without an appointment, chances are you won’t wait long anyway. The price is fair, not as cheap as a corner barber but nowhere near the price of a high end hair salon. And they do a very nice job overall!

Best haircut my boyfriend has had, and we’ve been to a lot of barbers and high end salons in NYC and Fairfield County. Jocelyn is warm, funny, and very quick. Made me bf more handsome than he’s been in years. Very good price too!

Great concept, but appears highly disorganized. Called ahead & was told there was no wait, but arrived to find place jammed with long wait. Was told I could get in next, but turned out to be a ruse as I was still waiting 30min later. Would only go if you have a flexible hour and no concern for schedule.

Without question, this is the best men’s barber shop In Fairfield County. My husband has been coming here for nearly 10 years. Everyone here is great but Peter is world-​class… The real thing. Generations does more than just give a man a great haircut, they provide all kinds of other grooming services and have a cigar room if that’s your thing. They also do a really wonderful job with children’s haircuts. We could not recommend them any higher — they’re all wonderful folks here providing the best in service across the board

One of the best barber experiences I’ve ever had. Carolina did my haircut and Isabella washed my hair. Highly recommend them. And… it was only $ 25.

I’ve been here 3x for a haircut w/​3 different people and have not been disappointed. First, they give you complimentary beer, coffee, cappuccino while you are waiting. Second, there is a little smoking area where you can chill and smoke cigars (though I haven’t) and read some magazines (of the naughty variety). Third, they have TVs at every chair so you can watch the game while getting your hair cut. Fourth, super friendly staff allow for an enjoyable experience.
PS. Let them know its your first time there and they give a free special wash (I think normally costs $ 5/​$ 6)
PPS. You might want to call ahead to check if they are busy… I’ve had to leave once b/​c I tried to get a cut between other appts and there wasn’t enough time.
