Heard about this restaurant as a new fine dining choice in Old Forge. Came for lunch, sat outside. Lovely ambiance outside and in. Has elegant and cozy feel. Food is unique with variety of choices. No kids menu, but chef made modifications. Chilled Apple coconut curry soup was delicious. Portions a tad small. A pleasure overall to find a slightly more upscale place to eat in Old Forge.

Worst service ever! My wife and I asked if we could put in our order in stages because we like to order our salads and appetizers and then order our entrees after, that way the food doesn’t come all at once. The waitress said that was fine, but didn’t seem to happy about it. After we ate our salad I asked if we could now put our entrée order in and the waitress leaned over the counter laughing and said«haha, too late kitchens closed»!! I have never been to a restaurant who doesn’t let their patrons know that the kitchen is closing so they can put in their orders. Then at 10 pm the owner came out and proceeded to tell everyone it was closing time and everyone needed to leave. Patrons where asking if they could at least finish there glass of wine, and the owners response was«well you know we close at 10pm». I will never recommend nor dine there ever again and I only hope this review will save others from going somewhere where diners are treated horribly.

Not bad. Very friendly staff, but the service was relatively slow. Entrée was great, but the appetizers weren’t vurry good.

We loved sitting on the lovely porch and watching the Friday night activity on Main Street. The seafood soup had a spicy with good flavor and lots of vegetables. I had the Halibut which was firm and moist. My wife’s pork was over cooked and dry. Both of us were not impressed with the accompanying sides. We both enjoyed a house select Merlot. Great service and nice atmosphere.

I have dined at Two Sisters a few times, and tonight was no different. The food was very tasty and well-presented and the service was excellent. If you like duck, I’d recommend the smaller plate of duck with chèvre and cranberry chutney — it was sweet and savory and I enjoyed every bite. Their chocolate mousse was delectable — very rich and creamy. I particularly enjoy sitting on the porch, which is ideal for a warm summer’s night, especially on a quieter night, as it is very peaceful. I would definitely come back!

Sisters is housed in perhaps the loveliest building in Old Forge – a beautifully restored hundred year old house – complete with an elegantly appointed bar. Diners can sit inside or on one of the two wrap-around porches. The menu is a little pricey compared to the rest of the restaurants in Old Forge, but its menu is unique, fresh(the back garden supplies much of the produce) and sophisticated. I had the best duck with cherry sauce that I have ever had in my life! Sisters’ house salad with cranberries, mixed greens, bleu cheese, pecans was fresh and tasty. The lunch menu included a generous portion of the fluffy, flaky crust quiche of the day. In addition to Sisters’ regular lunch and dinner menus are daily specials. The wine list has been carefully edited to include selections for every tastes. One of the very best restaurants in the area!

Can’t say enough good things about Sisters Bistro! We were in the area for a wedding and stumbled upon Sisters Bistro for lunch/brunch. The food and presentation were amazing and we were lucky enough to have the chef come and chat with us! We wish them the best !! Only negative was that we discovered it too late and didn’t have another day in town to have dinner there. It is a GEM, not to be missed.

Sisters is all about the atmosphere. The beautiful Victorian is very romantic with chandeliers, and very tasteful artwork. The porch is an excellent place to enjoy a glass of wine and tapas. The bar is excellent, but because the restaurant is both seasonal and new the waitstaff can be slow. It’s by far the most expensive place in Old Forge, which makes it difficult for some to handle the tapas sized plates. The tapas are decent, exotic for Old Forge, but mostly not memorable. I would recommend getting the cheese plate and some wine, or sitting at the bar.

Amazing dinner and experience. We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary here last week and loved it! The food was truly outstanding, the service was fast and incredibly friendly, and we sat outside on the back patio — covered, no bugs, and a view of the herbs and the garden used for our meal. We were within earshot of the kitchen — which some might not like — but we loved it, as the chef came out to talk with us about specials and his favorites on the menu while picking fresh herbs. Great food, great drinks, and a unique and fun atmosphere. Maybe a little pricier than what you’d expect, but in a tourist area where you pay $ 22 for a pizza, it’s really not bad. We had appetizers, dinner, dessert, and drinks for under $ 80 — in my book, that’s a great value! Highly recommend to anyone celebrating an event or just celebrating being in the adirondacks. :)

Cozy, quaint and elegant. The food was upscale and the ambiance was definitely not stuffy :) As long as you are prepared to spend a little more… it’s a great experience. I highly recommend starting with your own salad and ordering two small plates. Add an appetizer or two and don’t pass on dessert! The drinks are gourmet on their own so be sure to order a few!

From my knowledge, this is about the only fine dining you will find in the Old Forge area. If you have no interest in pizza, onion rings, cheese steaks, etc this is the place to go. Great atmosphere, cozy front porch to sit on an have your meal. Food was was really good and clean. A little bit turned off by the fact that we asked for our pesto on the side instead of on our sandwich and were told the sandwiches are Pre-made. Really? You guys go over and above(a tiny bit too much) to shine in class, but your sandwiches are Pre-made? You guys should correct that. other then that, we enjoyed our dining experience.

We just ate at Sisters Bistro and we were disappointed. We had a nice table outside and the weather was fantastic. After a very long wait for our food we were surprised by the extremely small portion sizes. I’ve lived overseas for many years and the sizes were smaller than tapas. No bread. No plates until we asked. Cheese plater with enough for 2 bites and no crackers. Salad with 5 pieces of arugula. Duck and trout were good. Water was not refilled. Bottom line is the food was good, but slow service, price was way high and portions way too small(I am not a huge eater, but I a active).

«A Gracious Gathering Place» is right! What a great new addition to the limited list of places to fine dine in Old Forge, NY! Went with my family this summer while on our annual summer vacation to Fourth Lake and can not wait to go back to Sisters Bistro next year. The restaurant is settled in an old colonial house and has seating on the front porch, inside and outside in the back. It was warm enough so we chose to sit on the deck in the back and they even had heating lamps for when the sun went down. We were a little close to the open kitchen in the back, but the staff were so nice they made it an intimate dining experience. The plates are very small(think the opposite of the Old Mill and Frankies where you walk away stuffed and carrying doggie bags) so just be mentally prepared for that. With 5 people we got about 2 – 3 small dishes each(so basically the entire menu!) and passed everything around to share. One of the«sisters» was walking around making sure everything was to our liking. Here are the ones that stood out: –Herbed Goat Cheese Flan w/figs –Pomegranate Chicken –Flourless Chocolate Cake and Ice cream
