Kind of a surprise. I tried every place on 516 for pizza. They’re garbage. Then ta-da try the odd place next to d&d. Pizza is solid. Grandma pie is excellent. Staff seems friendly. Great joint.

I won’t be returning to this place. I went on a Saturday evening and I only saw one waitress who seemed to be in a rush when taking orders and a bit impatient. It wasn’t as busy you would expect for a Saturday evening. I liked the fried calamari and the fettuccine alfredo. I ordered chicken parm thinking it’s always my «can’t go wrong» dish. It was probably one of the worst chicken parms I have had. The chicken was tougher than normal, the breading and cheese was missing a lot of something. There was nothing nice about the décor either. The worst part was when you enter into the restaraunt, there’s a sign that reads«Please wait to be seated.» There is no podium or anything to signal where to wait… it’s as if you’re just standing in entrance area with tables within earshot of you which was a little awkward. It took a few minutes to be recognized by the waitress too.

I grew up living in Old Bridge, NJ, and although pizza places have come and gone, Romeo’s is still by far, the best pizza place in the area. From their baked dishes, pasta dishes, pizza, subs, or appetizers, they are fantastic. This is as good as it gets! You can visit Romeo’s if you don’t care to take out and eat home. They have a nice sit in area for quick bites if you just want to grab a few slices or a sub. However, if you want a nice sit down meal with a special someone, or even an entire group, they are large enough to have a large area for you to leisurely enjoy your meal. While they do allow wine, it’s bring your own bottle. I have very fond memories of friends and family sitting at a large table at Romeo’s. Their prices are affordable and I’ve never had a problem with their food. Over the many years I’ve eaten plenty of different items from Romeo’s and they have all been fantastic. I’ve been happily eating at Romeo’s for over 20 years. And although I’ve moved about 10 miles north of Old Bridge, whenever I’m in the area and I want some pizza, Romeo’s is my first and only choice.

Reasonable good food. Portions can be a bit on the small side. Staff tries hard to please. Coupons can be found in the local coupon email sites and that makes them a better deal.

Bottom line: Great pizza, even for a non-local! I was skeptical about the place — it didn’t look like anything special, and people who go there often just order by the slice. However, my husband(who grew up in the area) keeps raving about their Sicilian-style pizza. But in my mind, I’m thinking a by-the-slice pizza cannot possibly be that great. So I went and tried it today, and found that he was right! The pizza has the perfect amount of crunch(without it feeling like a heavy cracker), and there was quite a variety to choose from. I had the fresh mozzerella with tomatoes and roasted red peppers(no tomato sauce or cheese), my husband had the regular(sauce & cheese) and the tomato pizza(fresh tomatoes and tomato sauce only), and his dad had a veggie pizza(loaded with broccoli and tomatoes, with cheese and sauce). We all agreed the place is delish! Even better than Ray’s in NYC — which I still don’t get, by the way… For a lover of thin, crunchy crust pizza’s, Romeo’s is «as good as it gets»!

I lived in Old Bridge for 7 years and tried all the Pizza places in the area, no one can compete with them, I use to go there 2 – 3 times a week. My wife and I love this place. Their house Italian dressing is soooooo good, it has a hint of fresh garlic in it. I have now since moved to Robbinsville and haven’t been there in 2yrs. Well we went back last night, and I forgot how good it was. Nothing has changed, why change a good thing. If you go you can tell them Schumacher sent you as they are big Ferrari F1 fans and they always new me as Schumacher when I stopped by. Their service isn’t the greatest, but the food makes up for it. Enjoy
