Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

Have been buying paint here for probably 20 years. They have a great selection and a good assortment of paint supplies.
The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have questions or need advise, just ask.
Typically a busy place, so if you’re in a hurry you’ll likely need to be patient (or go grab lunch while you wait).

There is a new Sherwin Williams in Olathe, and I called the new store to ask some questions. It’s closer to my house than the store on Sante Fe. The woman who answered the phone wasn’t helpful. She just kept referring me to my «expert paint contractor.» I guess that she didn’t want to hear that some real people actually paint their own homes. So, I went back to our old reliable Sherwin Williams on Santa Fe. I wasn’t disappointed.
Sean answered my questions about paint. So, we came in to buy our paint and supplies. The color that I chose was an interior formula, so the alternate formulation for exterior was a bit off. Jacob kept working on it until it was right. That took him four additions of color. The shade that he blended was beautiful. We bought the 25 year Super Paint. It goes onto the house like butter. What gorgeous paint! It doesn’t run easily, and it does go on thick enough to cover in one coat. That’s important, since it is a Dromedary Camel color going over mint green.
About 15 years ago, I wanted a mint green house. Other paint stores told me that mint green was not an exterior color. This Sherwin Williams store on Santa Fe blended it for me. It was lovely, and the paint has lasted and lasted. Now it’s time for a change. Thanks to all of the employees who did such a wonderful job of helping, especially Jacob.
By the way, if you are in the mood for paint, Sherwin Williams has a coupon for 30% off paint and 15% off painting supplies. It’s good until 6÷17÷2012. It saved me $ 250.

I didn’t even want to give this place A star but you have to click on the rating. I had a color I wanted to get from here so we went there yesterday. the lady at the register just took her d**n time checking out a sherwin williams worker and never even notice we were there. Never said one word to us to acknowledge that she saw us and that she will be with us shortly. She just kept talking to the guy and they were both talking and joking around. I went to this place a month ago and she wasn’t nice to me then but I thought ok maybe she just had a bad day or something so I decided to go again today. But NEVER AGAIN will I step foot in there.
