I have been in several times in the past few weeks and the staff has been extremely unhelpful and downright rude. Peggy and Elaine are by far the worst. The store and company in and of themselves are great; the staff at this location needs serious re-management, though.

While the store is filled with every overpriced kitchen item you don’t need, its location is baffling. Having to navigate the hordes of unwashed masses in a shopping mall is bad enough. The parking is dreadful, and the only redemption is that it is just inside some back doors. But a greater indignation is dealing with the people who work there. They run the gamut from vapid college student to snippy, hateful, middle-aged woman who always seems stressed and in a hurry. I mean, I didn’t know that matching crystal barware sets or finding an eighth cloth napkin for a set could be so mentally and emotionally taxing. Honestly, I have had better customer service from an overseas call center. My suggestion is to get in and get out with your dignity still intact and your goods painstakingly wrapped in tissue. Complete with the tears of a thousand struggles.

I heart this store with a great passion! Yes Williams-Sonoma is a bit overpriced, but sometimes you have to pay for good quality. Every time I come here someone is always whipping up something super tasty in the food area. They have great products!

When you need some good vanilla, or a bundt cake pan, or a wedding gift or a hostess gift or a new cookbook, find yourself here. The bad news is it’s at Penn Square. I wish it were at 50 Penn or in the Curve or anywhere that didn’t require mall parking. The good news is, everyone who works there is wonderful and so helpful. Dana is my favorite, Sue’s nice too, and Brandon and Amy are great but they’re both my friends, so of course I think they are great! We’ve been in a lot with our wedding registry being there, and everyone is always so helpful. Looking up specifics, getting out a measuring tape to help make sure that pan will fit in our oddly small oven… the staff here always goes above and beyond what you’d expect. And unlike Pottery Barn, I never see a manager talking down to staff or making shoppers feel like they are in the way of staff busywork. We love to cook and we love to come in here and just kinda play. It’s nice to go in and visit the Vitamix, but still feel good about leaving with some mixes and sauces for some fun dishes at home for just a few dollars.
