I tried brunch at Picasso Café for the first time this past Sunday. I’m a fan! I’ve been there for dinner before, and I’m already a fan of their Chicken Fried Portobello. For brunch, I got their Breakfast Burrito and my fiancé got their Biscuit Debris. See my photos! I was a huge fan of my burrito, although it’s gigantic. Definitely enough for two people to share. My only complaint was the chorizo. I’m sure it’s great, but I just can’t force myself to like it. Next time I will request no chorizo! My fiancé’s Biscuit Debris looked delicious. I had a bite of the biscuit, even with the toppings it seemed a bit dry. He also had a Bloody Mary and was very pleased! Be sure to come early, because they seem to fill up quickly and we had a 30 min wait at 10:30am.

So this is my first ever Unilocal review but I could not let this slide. Today I went to picasso café and I was really excited to try the vegetarian options. I got the fried portobello and it had zero seasoning. It tasted like grease. So, I told the waitress who was very kind and she offered to get me something else. I ordered the quinoa tacos. They were so bland. Everything lacked seasoning which is vegetarian 101. Season everything! I was so excited now I’m 26 dollars poorer and barely ate anything.

My wife had the shrimp risotto and loved it. I tried it and I might have to get it next time! I got the Cobb salad with steak. Very good, light but filling. We tried the crème Brule and it also excellent! Service was attentive but not overwhelming. Is on our«will return» list!

I’m not a vegetarian, and not a big Veggie fan, but my wife is. Fellas, do yourself a favor and get some husband points and plan a date here. Amazing Ahi Tuna, And the Crème Brûlée is a must! Plan reservations though, it’s packed! Great service too

Good vibes and great vegan/vegetarian options in a chill, artsy setting. Picasso Café boasts a creative menu, with a killer Sunday-only brunch. Reservations for Sunday mornings are a must. Expect a crowd, and a bit of a wait for both seating and food. The servers are warm and friendly, but it’s the bartenders who stand out in particular. I’ve had exceptional service from them, and arguably one of the best old-fashioned’s you can find in OKC. Food: 4⁄5 Drinks: 5⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Cleanliness: 4⁄5 Décor & Style: 5⁄5

Everything was excellent here. I Googled«vegan in OKC» and this came up because they have a few vegan options and a lot of vegetarian food that can be modified, as per the menu. My fried portobello mushroom was smothered in gravy and came upon a bed of fries with 6 pieces of asparagus. Oklahoma! It was really great, as was the vegan dessert that our waiter mentioned to us. My wife had fish tacos that she said were incredible, and she’s a fish taco aficionado. Literally, she’s had them all over the country, and said these were close to the best. I can’t recommend this place enough, no matter what your eating style is. Also, a big thanks to our waiter Evan, who made a couple of New Yorkers passing through Oklahoma City feel comfortable. Great place, very enjoyable meal. (And, for what we paid here for 2 drinks, 2 entrees and 1 dessert, you couldn’t even get breakfast in NY.)

Comfort food for vegetarians and pescetarians. The menu had a great variety, from what we consider the fancier stuff — risottos and couscous — to the familiar but new — portobello mushroom, cooked chicken-fried steak style. My husband had the fish and chips and loved it. It wasn’t a huge portion, and he is usually a big eater. However, he was happy because it was so tasty(and I shared some portobello). The kids had pizza and a club sandwich. Everyone was happy and it didn’t break the bank. However, there were definitely some items that were surely worth paying more for, and this was reflected in the price. I am glad we stopped here on our way out of town — a local business supporting local farmers… always captures my heart.

Picasso’s is tucked away in an area I wouldn’t have ever found if not for a word of mouth recommendation. It’s a fairly small restaurant, but the food and service was great! They had a nice variety of meals and appetizers so that our entire party was able to get something they enjoyed.

Best place for brunch. Good healthy food with vegetarian choices. Service is excellent and the ambience is fun with art on the wall It’s also good for a drink with a full bar and outside dining I the street and on a back patio. If you’ve never been here you have to try it

Place/Service: Cool place! The Paseo area is definitely a unique and and artsy area. The atmosphere is lively and young in the restaurant. Going on a Thursday night, the place wasn’t too busy. The service was good; waiter and staff were attentive. Food: We started off with the small Drunken Pear Spinach salad and a bowl of Lobster Bisque. The salad was great, probably the dish I enjoyed the most in the meal. The dressing is light but yummy! If you are a pecan lover like myself, I highly recommend this salad! I am definitely going to get this salad again but the large! Like most reviews about this restaurant stated: the lobster bisque is a must have. My boyfriend is a huge lobster bisque lover(he literally gets it every time a restaurant offers it on their menu). He said, and I quote, «this is the best lobster bisque I’ve ever had.» The soup was extremely rich and creamy! It did have some chunks of lobster which I appreciated. I recommend this soup! For our entrée, we shared a pizza. We got ½ of the Greek pizza & ½ of the BBQ chicken pizza(minus the onions and jalapeños). To start off, the pizza is a great size to share(2 people max) if you get appetizers. The Greek pizza has a lot of veggies(+). The pepperonis does give this pizza a bit of a kick(in a good way). Not to sound condescending, but the Greek pizza is on the dot with the Greek/Mediterranean flavors! The BBQ Chicken pizza has quality yummy chicken! The bacon on the pizza is not overpowering which I appreciated. Okay now for the negative: the pizza was a little too dry for our liking :-(BBQ Chicken pizza is our favorite kind of pizza mainly for the BBQ, but unfortunately we did not get any hint of BBQ sauce on our pizza! We had to ask for a side of BBQ sauce, which was okay. It’s just not the same as a pizza made with BBQ sauce. The Greek pizza being dry wasn’t too much of a big deal because of all the veggies on it, but it could’ve had a tad more cheese. The fact that the crust is AMAZING made up for the dryness mostly. The crust, yessssss. The dough is awesome. Though the pizza was dry, it was not greasy or oily like most pizza whatsoever! This was a big plus! Overall, all of the food served to us was very quality and had fresh ingredients! I would’ve given 5 stars had the pizza not been dry. We are definitely coming back(probably not getting pizza). I recommend this place if you are in the area!

The brunch was good. I got the pulled pork benedict and my husband ordered the huevos ranchero. The pulled pork was cooked perfectly. I would suggest going earlier or making reservations. It looked like it was getting pretty packed by the time we were finished and heading out.

This is a good place to go for lunch or dinner, but where I think they truly shine is brunch! My husband doesn’t care for brunch, but allows us to eat brunch here because it’s that good. I recommend asking about their specials as we’ve never been disappointed. The last time we went the special was pistachio pancakes with homemade whipped cream, which made for a fun appetizer to share. I’verser the crepes and they’re good, but my hands down favorite is the biscuit debris. You either need a really big appetite to finish this dish or consider sharing it with someone as it is a LOT of food. I would suggest making a reservation as I’ve seen people lined up before they open and they fill up fast. Check them out for the best brunch in town!!!

I think this place is exactly what Applebee’s strives to be– a neighborhood gathering place to eat, drink, and laugh. I visited on a Friday night past 10, the place was packed with people of all ages, and everyone looked like they were having a blast. Service was notably quick and friendly. While I appreciated the late-night vegetarian-friendly eats and the welcoming atmosphere, I had higher expectations for the food. It felt like everything was created quickly and cheaply, which is fine, except that the prices set my expectations higher. I was also disappointed that there weren’t any beers on draught. But though I wasn’t completely wow’d by the food and libations, I was by the vegetarian options!

Picasso is the place to eat in OKC if you’re vegetarian or vegan. Their veggie options are the most extensive in the city. I’ve had some less than pleasant experiences here due to staff attitudes and poor service; however, I’m willing to forgive and forget because the veg menu has increased exponentially. They’ve gone from 3 – 4 dishes to about 10 or so, which is pretty dang impressive when you remember which state you’re in. My favorite thing about Picasso, despite the lows and highs over the years, is brunch. I love their smothered burrito, especially when they don’t bat an eye at my asking for no chorizo. If anything, come to Picasso for brunch, but be sure to get a reservation. It gets pretty busy! You ou can’t beat the vibe Picasso has. It feels like you’ve stepped off the streets of OKC and into a place like Santa Fe. I love the old house feeling, since it is, after all, an old building. And I didn’t learn this until recently, but there’s a small patio out back, equipped with picnic tables + fire pit and blankets if you’re there on a cooler night. I’m happy that Picasso is slowly but surely winning my heart back.

Lobster Bisque is fantastic! Loved the beer selection. Waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and was super friendly. Atmosphere is fun and laid back. Definitely coming back here again and again!

Fellow mayo haters: be warned. The item descriptions on the menu lack pertinent info. Like«contains mayo». Ack. The menu description for the House Cured Pork Belly BLT reads, «hand cut bacon, molasses, heirloom tomatoes, and Prairie Thunder focaccia limited availability». To be sure, I asked the server if it came with mayo. I received a «no». Then my BLT came out, slathered in mayo. Good thing I double checked visually before taking a bite. I waited five-ish minutes until my server returned to check on us. «I thought you said this didn’t come with mayo». «Oh, that’s aioli». «Aioli IS a mayo». «I’ll get you a new one». Good grief. If you don’t know that aioli is a type of mayo(literally, a yolk + oil emulsion), you have no business working in the food industry. And then to act like I’m an idiot for even suggesting it… By the time I got my replacement, my friends had finished their plates, leaving me to awkwardly eat mine all alone. And my plate came back with about 1⁄3 the amount of the potatoes it originally came with. Like some kind of passive aggressive FU for complaining about the mayo. Even besides the mayo fiasco, the food is bland. And my tomatoes were not«heirloom». This place seems like another overhyped hipster joint. Pass.

Brunch– great menu, lots to choose from. Large portions. Breakfast burrito smothered with the debris sauce was huge. Chicken enchiladas were a little dry but great flavor. The salmon spring rolls were delicious. Drink options were limited but a few brunch basics available. We almost left because they estimated a 30 min wait, but then it ended up only actually being 5 minutes. Will definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

A charming old building probably rife with ghosts, this joint is a refreshing change from the plethora of minimalist industrial décor that has become flavor of the day. Whether for dinner or a fabulous Sunday brunch(breakfast burrito, vegetarian version, packed with flavor, drenched in a naughty creamy sauce, side of toast with local, homemade jam, and rich dark coffee), the food is always original & fresh, but not at all pretentious. Sometimes the music is questionable — thumpa thumpa club tunes where something a bit classier would do, and unless there’s an important game on(Thunder), the tvs would be better switched off. All in all though, this is a place worth the wait — or even the reservation if you’re one of those plan ahead types. My out of town guests always enjoy and are often pleasantly surprised.

Picasso is always such a hidden gem for me. I’ve been once for brunch and once for dinner, both reigning supreme. It’s just always good, just so so good. Both times I’ve been, I’ve left saying«why don’t I come here more often?» For dinner I loved ordering from the small plates menu. Get a sampling for the table and a great cocktail and your set. Their mojito is perfect. The ahi tuna made me want to lick the plate clean, the stuffed dates and the salmon egg rolls are my best suggestions. As for brunch I got the scallop Benedict. So amaze, but my favorite part was the breakfast potatoes, don’t try to be healthy and not get them.

This review solely based on the dog-friendly al fresco dining on the patio, which was a great experience. Lots of happy pups present, all of whom are greeted with a fresh bowl of ice water and a Milkbone ceremonially presented on a plate. I also saw some other pups munching on special canine«salads.» The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is chill and pleasant(albeit with a few more flies than we’d have preferred– but what can ya do when dining outside in August in Oklahoma?) The white queso was delish, and they were attentive about topping up our bowl of blue corn tortilla chips to finish off the dip. Pizza was also quite tasty, with crispy crust. Flourless chocolate cake was quite pretty to look at, and tasted just as scrumptious — perfect way to cap off the evening.

Picasso café is an awesome neighborhood joint. Located in the paseo district, they serve really good and unique food for the area. Sort of a combination of various Mediterranean foods with pasta options, pizza, hummus and pita, fish, etc. But then they surprise you with vegan quinoa tacos and Native American fry bread with chili, also really good. It’s a hipster area for sure, so again, good food. The brunch there is truly legit too. Definitely recommend going there on Sunday.
