Long time patron and just can’t do it again… I have eaten at Pearls for the last 17 years and every time I go back the quality and the customer service just gets worse and worse. Walked in to Pearls at Classes Curve around 5pm on Sunday and took a seat at the bar with my wife as they were on a wait. There was 3 female bartenders behind the bar. We waited at least 15 min before one of them acknowledged us. Then made excuses that it was shift change so they were confused. Finally ordered a tap beer and a specialty mojito drink. My beer was out on tap so I agreed to another tap beer. So my wife got her mojito… which was actually a margaritas with some mint leaves and«tequila». So… after a wrong beer and a wrong drink I was charged $ 23.00 for the two drinks. I gave the female bartender $ 30.00 with no change in return and I had also dropped $ 2.00 on the bar as a tip. So… $ 32 dollars for two drinks and I thought I was in Vegas, for dinner we ordered Pasta Diablo which I’ve had dozens of times over the years, the pasta was very over cooked and mushy, there were very few scallops and shrimp. Very disappointed in a dish that is usually spectacular. I am left wondering what has happened to one of our favorite restaurants.

They really do have the world’s best red beans and rice! This is my new go to for this Lenten season! The drinks are fantastic too! I had tilapia and it was perfectly cooked and sweet potato fries are the BEST! I will be back!

Beautiful restaurant that was so delish! The crawfish etoufee was loaded with crawfish and so full of creole flavor. Oysters were fresh and the swordfish was amazing! Would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be visiting Pearls again!

Have you ever had a hankering for tasty New Orleans style comfort food? If so, Pearl’s is a great place to put on your short list. It’s a dining spot that can offer the whole package: great atmosphere, good service, and tasty food. Their menu is boasting of southern Louisiana pride with dishes like Bayou Chicken & Shrimp, Crawfish Ettouffee, Jambalaya, Tilapia Orleans, Alligator Tail, Gumbo, Crab Cakes, among others. We went with a party of 7 on a Saturday night and had about a 45 minute wait as they don’t accept reservations. They have a spacious main dining hall as well as a second dining hall that has room for even more guests or doubles as a private dining room, when needed. Several of the booths have their own personal mini TVs and there are several other TVs above the bar so it’s a great place to go and catch the game. Not to mention, they have a full bar, too. Their atmosphere is stylish yet comfortable. Dress up or come casual, but not too casual. It’s the perfect spot for a date night, dinner with friends or family, or to grab a drink at the bar. I enjoyed my meal at Pearls from start to finish. For starters we had the hot crab dip. The dip was served hot as promised and the tortilla chips were a nice complement to the dip. My only opportunity for improvement would be to serve the dip with a heartier chip, because it can be a challenge to get the dip on the chip without the chip breaking. I shared a cup of the Boston Clam Chowder as well as their house dinner salad before the meal. The Chowder was delicious and I’d certainly order it again. I could also say the same thing about the dinner salad. The lettuce was crisp, there weren’t a whole lot of veggies, but it was topped with hot, crispy, delicious fried onions. We got the homemade ranch dressing to top it off. I am afraid the«salad» was more of an indulgence than a salad — needless to say, it was terrific. For the main entrée I had the Seafood«Diablo.» It was a HUGE bowl of pasta with shrimp, scallops, andouille sausage, mushrooms, and onions in a SPICY red sauce. It was tasty, but the noodles could have been cooked a bit less for my liking. I had more than enough for two meals afterwards. I would definitely order it again. I sampled the Crawfish Étouffée which was everything I hoped for… simply delish! The cheesy grits with bacon were the best grits I’ve ever had in my life. The Squash Rockefeller was good, but didn’t stand a chance of being the table favorite next to the grits. The rice and beans side were also very good, but a bit on the salty side. Dessert didn’t stand a chance with all the food that was consumed before hand. I would like to get back there sometime to sample the bread pudding. All and all, dinner at Pearl’s was a hit. It was a night to celebrate friendship, family, and good food. There were a few very minor dinner details that could be improved upon, but none the less, the food was very good and a great time was had by all that evening. I hope to return sometime in the near future.

My family and friends enjoy Pearl’s food but 3 times now their carry out service has been hideous! Was quoted 15 minute pick-up time and 30 minutes later food was not ready. When the order finally arrived it was not our order so had to wait even longer. Upon getting the food home it was packaged so badly that the food had soaked through the paper bags and broke them. Sorry Pearl’s — after 3 strikes on carry out you are out!

Pearl’s has pretty fine seafood, straight up or fusion, but what brings me back time and again is happy hour, and one concoction in particular: the Perfect Margarita. Apart from being a tasty drink, it’s served in a martini glass(with olives!) alongside a pour-as-you-go chrome shaker. The drink itself looks relatively short until you get your game on and tilt the shaker, at which point you feel super victorious that you can have another drink, for the price of one. Kinda brilliant! The happy hour apps are fine. You can go all green and munch on salted edamame or cut the booze with some fried onions or shrimp brochettes, among lots of other choices. I imagine the oysters vary in flavor, but for an oyster bar, Pearl’s has some fairly tasteless bivalves in my experience. I like ‘em briny, like the sea. Pearl’s is comfy, cozy, and casual. Put it on your radar when you can’t think of anywhere else to go in town– the vast menu gives you incredible options for food and drink. If you go for the oysters, I hope you find a pearl!

Today 10 friends met for brunch at Pearl’s. For three of us it was our first time. They were kind enough to put us in a semi private room with only one other occupied table. We didn’t all arrive at the same time so we only ordered drinks and 2 of us ordered cups of gumbo and 1 ordered soup. Everyone arrived and we ordered and we’re having a gay old time talking and drinking our mimosas and bloody Mary’s. We didn’t really notice that the gumbo and soup hadn’t arrived. Finally someone mentioned to a waiter that we hadn’t received them. The waiter apologized and went to check. The other table got up to leave and an elderly, well dressed and coiffed lady stopped at our table. She said, «Did you guys order some soup and gumbo?» We said yes but that we hadn’t received it yet. She said, «Well that’s because we got it. It was delivered to our table.» AND then she literally crowed, «Sorry, we ate it! And we didn’t have to pay for it!» Then she proceeded to saunter off gleefully full of herself, while our table pretty much sat with our jaws dropped. When the waitstaff returned, we told them what had just happened and they were as incredulous as us. Normal human beings would have said ‘uhmm we didn’t order this’ and then it would have been up to the staff to make sure that we got our food. The awesome waitstaff told the manager and she came in and apologized and comped the gumbos and soup. Pearl’s brunch and waitstaff are excellent, but the same cannot be said for some of their patrons.

Great place to eat any day! Sunday brunch is amazing and they have a bloody Mary bar that will cure what ails you! Great place! If you like quality food this is the place to come and truly enjoy a meal.

Very nice! The hot crab dip appetizer was great. The Crawfish Etoufee was delicious, but very spicy! In all fairness, the server warned me, and I said I liked hot. :-) We also had the lobster roll. Very good. Amazing even. Only $ 16 and not at all stingy on the lobster. The light coating of dressing was a perfect complement, and the bread was fresh and delicious. We upgraded to the sweet potato fries, and they were some of the best ever! Lightly coated in, I believe, the perfect amount of cinnamon and brown sugar. Service was attentive and friendly. House cocktails we wonderful and inventive. My only complaints are barely that: Service was too attentive at times, red beans and rice were good, but not outstanding, and chips with crab dip were a bit less fresh than preferred.

Had an above average lunch at Pearls on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived early, around 11:30 and were seated immediately. The booth was comfortable and spacious. We were immediately approached by a server, and service was great throughout the meal. Never had to ask for refills, received a to go box quickly as well as our check. Strong service. To start, I went with the New England clam chowder. It was a basic version of this dish, which is good for me. I added plenty of pepper and some Tabasco, which I typically need to do with chowders, so Pearls’ version was no different. There is plenty of potato and clam, but the soup could be a little thicker for me. That being said, I’d order it again. To eat, I went with the shrimp 3 ways, served with shrimp en brochette, blackened shrimp, and shrimp étouffée. This comes with 2 sides, and I went with fried okra(because I can’t not order okra) and the smoked gouda grits. It’s a large meal, I did not finish it, and that’s with some sharing. I think it was worth the $ 22 price tag. The shrimp en brochette is fried shrimp with cheddar cheese and bacon. Those are all fantastic words, and they created a fantastic dish. It’s served with a sort of sweet sauce that complemented it well, although a little more heat to the sauce was needed. The blackened shrimp and étouffée tasted similar, I am guessing a lot of the same spices go in both. But, both were good, so I’m not complaining. None of the shrimp were overcooked, which is a feat as shrimp are very easy to overcook. They were tender and flavorful, and everything came out very hot. The fried okra was strong, the breading wasn’t too thick, which is how I prefer it. The smoked gouda grits come topped with cheese, A LOT of cheese, and bacon bits. It’s almost too much. A very decadent dish, you definitely know you’re eating cheese grits. The kid’s menu is pretty basic, my son got a cheeseburger and french fries. He got a ton of fries, I’ll say that. I miss the Pearl’s in Norman, which hasn’t been here for many years. But, I will absolutely make the trip to OKC to eat at this one again. [700th Review]

I had the crawfish ettoufe. It was good. Very spicy. It came with rice and two sides. I got sweet potatoes fries and fried okra. Good value. I looked around and other people’s entre was very large portions. I saw a woman fall asleep. I think she had a food coma. I would recommend this place. It satisfied my canjun cravings.

I’ve always loved Pearl’s for their Cajun flare and they still do not disappoint. Yesterday hubs ate blackened chicken fettuccine with cream sauce and I had my once a month fish…(I eat mostly plant based foods but add fish about once a month to keep my B12 level). I ordered blackened ahi tuna with red potatoes. It was perfect. I didn’t catch our server’s name but he also did a great job and even met us at the door with a smile. When I’m craving seafood, Pearl’s is the only option.

Pearls is hands down, one of the absolute best restaurants in OKC. Their food is so fresh and wonderful. And I think I would probably die if I didn’t get to eat their crawfish étouffée at least once a month. I’ve been all over the south and I go to New Orleans quite often, and I can honestly say that Pearl’s makes some of the best étouffée in the world. It’s so spicy and hearty. The hot crab dip is also amazing, as well as their crab cakes. The salads are just out of this world. My husband and I share the crab dip appetizer and finish our salads and we can’t even touch our meals. We always have an entire meal left over for the next day. The service can sometimes be spotty, but 80% of the time the service is outstanding. Also, their champagne brunch is AMAZING! This last time I got the Eggs Orleans and it was soooo yummy. I think their brunch prices are perfect. If you skip mimosas(which is hard for me!) you can get brunch for 2 for about $ 22. I can’t say enough good things about Pearls. It’s been my favorite restaurant for almost 20 years.

Omg! I discovered this gem while working in Oklahoma. Each time I visit from Texas I will be visiting the pearls! My favorites are the Rockefeller oysters, The Mediterranean Salmon and the Margaritas!!! In that order! I’ve been here twice in one week and they haven’t disappointed me yet! I’ll also be going back again tonight which will make 3 days in a row! Try it you won’t be disappointed!

Very good food. Best red beans and rice around. Hot crab dip is a great way to start. The Seafood Diablo is my favorite for lunch or dinner. The salads are not as good as they once were. OK, bad side is the bill. $ 12.50 for 25 oz of beer? Yikes. Way overpriced, for drinks and food. I suggest coming for Sunday Brunch and skipping the drinking all together. Great décor.

Wow. Mahi Mahi with pico de gallo and avocado, leftover even! Just yum. And the squash Rockefeller ! You know it’s good when it still tastes amazing reheated! Their fried chicken and mashed potatoes with cream gravy was pretty darn good as well. Another favorite is the crab dip. But my absolute most favorite is the cheese grits with andouille sauce for brunch. I even order an extra side of andouille sauce for the biscuit! Best sweet tea ever. Service I have to say is questionable. The wait staff who has been there the longest really rock my socks off, the newer less seasoned servers not so much. I actually complained about the hostess on my most recent brunch outing here – we wanted a tv viewing table but she seated us without telling us here was no such table available. We ended up asking our waitress, who was amazing and we were sad when we couldn’t take her to the other section with us. But we got the tv. This experience doesn’t stop me from frequenting here, the food is just really good. Red beans and rice! Try it!

Love the Brunch here! Back in OKC for the holidays and had to visit Pearl’s Oyster Bar. The brunch is great but so are the menu choices. We have been coming to Pearl’s since it was a small hole in the wall on 63rd& Western and this new location has been open for more than 7 years but the food is still good. The Bloody Mary bar is a nice touch. Although I am not a Bloody Mary fan. I like the Mimosas instead. You must have the Bourbon Street Chicks which are blackened chicken breasts on slider rolls with grilled onions. I like the Crabcake Monique and the Seafood Enchiladas from the brunch menu on the weekends.

The restaurant had a great feel to it. Space heaters in the outdoor area which nobody was bc «oooooklahoma where the WINDBLOWS» did not get those lyrics for nothin. Good lord was it windy yesterday. Anyway, got seated right away. They have booths with TVs for those who can’t miss a football game. We opted for a table without a tv. The menu is extensive. Tons of fried seafood. I ordered 2 waters and a vodka soda which came out pretty quickly. My boyfriend got the fried calamari. While we waited for that, the waitress brought us very difficult bread to cut and cold non spreadable butter. We ate it of course… made a mess but who cares… It was bread(we never eat bread). Calamari comes out, she takes our order of 2 bowls of lobster bisque and a salad with shrimp, eggs, asparagus, avocado and a little crab meat. The calamari was very bland. Literally nothing special about it except it was fried. Even the sauce was meh. The bisque had a puff pastry on top. If it wasn’t for that, you would have realized there was nothing in the bisque but liquid and salt. Woo it was salty. I drank my vodka soda fast. The salad was good. Way too much lettuce served with such little garnish. The dressing that came with it was good. I ordered a second vodka soda when our food was served and I never received it but was charged for it. We are from Virginia beach so we’re a little spoiled when it comes to seafood but even the less popular seafood places aren’t as disappointing as pearls was. My boyfriend who eats everything and loves all things fried barely touched the calamari and the soup upset his stomach with all the salt I’m assuming. It’s a good place to go if you like salt and haven’t a great seafood experience before.
