Marble Slab Creamery

Loved this ice cream shop. It was the perfect place to grab a tub of ice cream before heading back to our hotel suite.
We visited on a busy Saturday night, and though the place was full, the line moved very quick. The girls behind the counter were super friendly and made us feel welcome, and they did an awesome job mixing peanut butter cups and Reese’s pieces into our decadently chocolate ice cream. I was especially impressed that our counter girl made sure to wipe all the drips from the rim of our ice cream tub before handing it over to us.
You cannot go wrong with the friendly service, and $ 9 all you can mix-​in quarts from Marble Slab. We enjoyed it all weekend!

Right beside Hawkins Theater so it is always super packed. They need a bigger location with more places to sit. Ice cream its pretty good and the service was ok.

This location gets really crowded really fast. Given it’s location, that’s understandable and I have no real complaints about. Just more of a heads up for people who may not think about those things. What’s not understandable is the lack of employees, tables, and chairs to accommodate the number of people they know will be showing up. The line was out the door and only two employees were working… and working slowly. All movements were just kind of lackadaisical. There were only a handful of chairs available, meaning that most people stood around or just gave up and left. Makes for a very unwelcoming environment.
The ice cream itself was just… eh. Well, at least mine was just eh. My kids seemed to enjoy theirs and my husband had a very flavorful one as well. But mine, which was coffee, was basically «cold creamy stuff with a hint of coffee flavoring.» I think I got more flavor from the cone it was in. And overall, way too expensive. Two kids cups, one small cup, and one cone… about $ 20. Definitely not worth it to us. We’ve had better, and MORE of it, for much less. And we got to sit down at the other places.
All in all, it’s overpriced ice cream. But if you’re really craving some and you happen to be right there, I suppose this is your place.

Good ice cream. Decent service. They really should keep the marble slabs a bit cleaner between orders though. Very convenient location on the canal

I’m not sure why this location is getting such negative reviews. It’s in a great location and it is obviously frequently busy because of that and that is not the fault of the employees that work here. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because they didn’t have any extra chairs after a family of like 25 people came through and took all of the chairs from all of the tables and used them for themselves instead of thinking about the needs of the other paying customers in the store as well. It isn’t really the store’s fault that this happened, but having a few back up chairs in the back would have been nice.
The employees were super nice and the flavors were great. The prices were reasonable and each time I’ve come here I haven’t ever had a crappy experience.
Extremely fast and chipper service after a five to eight hour service with a long line from the door really isn’t the most important thing in the world to me as long as the person is at least present. These employees seemed tired but they were polite and doing the best they could.

Mom had a Hot Fudge Sundae with Vanilla ice cream and enjoyed ti. As everyone said ice cream is great — service is very slow, all the employees except for the young gentleman who serviced us were not to friendly, tables, chairs and floors were dirty and very long lines.

Good ice cream but poor service. The line was long and the employees didn’t seem bothered to rush their service. We waited a few minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence and served us our ice cream. This employee, Veronica, didn’t even look at us while we waited to be served. She did every other thing except serve us when it was our turn. It was a few minutes before someone else came and helped us. They also need more tables and chairs for how busy they are, and the tables were dirty. Braums has just as good ice cream, go there instead.

Love the ice cream well worth the long line, but was appalled as I was paying for it and looked up at the air vent above. It was coated with, literally, a quarter inch of dust /​yuck. I could not believe that there isn’t a health department that would do something about this.
The place is making sales all day long, CLEAN THE PLACE!!! In my opinion, YUK!!!

Never enough chairs. Not enough staff, therefore long wait every time we’ve been there. They won’t provide a cup of water even though each of us purchased ice cream.

Ice cream was good enough but the creamery was poorly kept. Dirty tables and floors. Food on the chairs. Service was detached and disinterested.

It’s the same concept as the other ice cream place that’s out there (the ice cream and combinations even tasted/​looked the same). Staff here was friendly but slow. Seating area was kept clean as was the restroom. No complaints.

This creamery is conveniently located right next door to Harkins movie theater but I’m not impressed with their ice cream. They don’t have a huge selection but at least their prices are decent. There aren’t a lot of tables so you might have to eat your ice cream elsewhere especially on nights where there’s an event at Chesapeake Energy Arena which draws a large crowd.

My kids got caught in the rain from the movie and went into the store to buy ice cream. After they asked if they could have a small cup, the man (who turned out to be the OWNER of all things) showed them a junior cup for $ 2.99 and then without even a pause, went over to serve an older couple.
My kids were wet. Not homeless. We will never darken your door again

It’s ice cream so it’s awesome, but this one is always packed! Its right by where the OKC Thunder play so it will always be packed I guess
