I recently discovered Hobby Lobby and I think I’m in love. This place is amazing and has anything you could want for decorating the house. I think when I was walking around I may have been drooling. They also have a huge art and supplies section that isn’t really my thing but it seemed to have a lot. A very nice and clean store with so much to look at. You could spend hours here! Just go in to check it out and you will see what I mean.

This location always has a great selection, especially around the holidays. I was looking for décor for my daughters room and was happily surprised by their selection of pictures, letters and décor for girls! Tip: don’t forget to bring you 20% off one item(regular price) coupon. You can google it and fine it pretty easily. And they will accept it from your Mobile device!

Since moving to Oklahoma City, Hobby Lobby has been my go to spot for art supplies, especially my oil painting supplies. Hobby Lobby is of course a chain so you would think they are all the same, but the one on I-240 and Penn is the best one I have found in the Oklahoma City area. It is large, spacious and well lit. You don’t feel crowded like you do with many of their other stores and the employees there are top-notch. The employees at this location always have a smile and are great at helping you find things in their huge store. The framing department at Hobby Lobby should also be noted for their excellent service. The framing staff is very patient and will let you see however many frames you want so you can pick the best one for your art piece. Now they will try to up-sell you on the glass, but that is their job so I can’t really blame them for it. When you go to Hobby Lobby make sure you check out the sales ad and coupon. You can now pull up the coupon on your smart phone, which makes it even easier. Hobby Lobby at I-240 and Penn will continue to be my go to sport for as long as they are there or I have money to spend. :)

Talk about shopping local to the extreme! Hobby Lobby is great because it is a national chain that is based right here outta OKC. They have almost 500 stores in 41 states — I looked it up on their website. It is a wonderful crafting store that you can get lost in for hours and hours. I used to make props for a few local theatre companies and we always had accounts at Hobby Lobby. This should tell you something about the affordability of the supplies at Hobby Lobby since theatre companies are notoriously cheap because they are notoriously broke most of the time. We always had to figure out a way to make something that looked pristine & expensive onstage and it had to be low-budget on the page when it came down to the bottom line and usually our bottom dollar. The new store just off of I-240& Penn is great. It is very large and well-lit. The staff there is always friendly and will help you find whatever you need for your current project. They have wonderful kid’s crafts and they also offer different types of arts and crafts classes from time to time. Keep an eye on their weekly sales ad because you usually can get the best deals then. Also, they offer an online coupon that you can retrieve from your cell phone for a discount taken at the register right then & there. As you are walking into the store, ya gotta check out the very far back left corner because it is their clearance corner — a great place to go & sift through for even better bargains on supplies. As for availability of supplies, you name it, they have it. I won’t say how long I’ve been shopping there, but let’s say I’ve been shopping there since I wore flannel shirts and Grunge-y jeans. I will continue to shop there when I’m wearing triple-knit polyester and trifocals.
