Helen’s Nails and Spa

The hunt for gel nails (gel builder + gel overlay) continues. I went here yesterday to get, what I had hoped for, was real gel nails. I even called in advance to ask if they did gel nails with builder. The lady I spoke to told me yes, so I drove their straight after work.
1) There was a miscommunication and they stated working on my like I was getting a gel manicure. It wasn’t until most of my gel top coat was soaked off that they realized I had acrylic underneath even though I told the lady before she started that I had ache lids and I want them off and replaced with gel builder.
*bonus: I did get a massage while waiting for the gel to soak off
2) Got switched to a new person who allegedly knew how to do gel nails. Jk, they don’t do gel nails with builder at this salon. I spent about 10 minutes trying to explain to him (new nail guy) and the owner/​manager/​notreallysurewhothispersonwas about gel nails with builder. The best they could do was a gel powder. I settled for that and asked my nails to be slightly shortened.
3) Nails on my left hand were filed the heck down and are noticeably shorter than my nail length on my right hand. I just wasted 2 weeks of my life growing out my nails. They are so short that it makes the gel powder overlay completely pointless!
4) This cost me $ 40 + tip. Not worth it. Considering going to the nail place by my house to get these changed out.

At this point I’m pretty much accepting the fact that Oklahoma loves their thick acrylic nails and maybe in 10 years, they’ll catch up with the times and actually do real gel nails. In the mean time, I guess I’ll be making trips home to California to see by beloved nail tech.

Came in for a eyebrow wax and the lady did them exactly the way I asked her to ! Definitely will be coming into get my nails done next time !

Great visit today with my mother-​in-​law. We made reservations to make sure we would be accommodated, but there was plenty of staff on hand for our mid morning appointment. We were offered beverages, and called by name. It was a very cheerful and welcoming salon. Loved the pedicure. They had a menu to choose from, and we were looking for a little extra pampering! But even a basic treatment would have been good. Nails look great! It was very clean. We will definitely be back.

This is the best pedicure I’ve ever had! Amazing massage, toes are sparkling, and my skin is crazy soft! Wish I lived closer so I could come more often!

I will never go anywhere else now. One word — awesome. All the way around — nice people, good pricing, efficient, and customer service is top notch! So glad I happen to stumble across them.

Mai is wonderful! She is so friendly and does a great job on my Gel nails and gives the best pedicures.

Shellac manicures are only $ 24 and they have like 80 colors to choose from! They do an excellent job. Be sure to ask for Mai — she does a great job.

I went to Helen’s last week. Wow they were so very nice and the salon is very clean. I love this place and so glad my nail lady started working her. Thank you Tuyet. Ms. Helen went out of her way to come say hi and welcome me to her salon. Boy you don’t get service like that anymore. Helens is the place to go…

This is the best nail spa in the city. I live in the Asian district and have tried many nail salons around and I drive across town to go to Helen’s!
