Best Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce I’ve had in Oklahoma City. Oh, yeah. I’m a fan.

The service was excellent and the prices were fair for the quality of food. I’d go again. I ordered Sapporo light with the gekkeikan sake, the Lo mein with chicken and the rainbow roll. Everything was delicious and worth the 32 $.

Exceptional service and attentive staff. Don’t get lost with the long menu, just ask what is amazing and the staff will happily tell you. I had an eggplant dish and the walnut shrimp, which were delicious. Sushi there is amazing as well. I’d say they have a great dining atmosphere whether you’re on a date or just sitting at the bar enjoying your drink and freshly made sushi. I’d definitely it come back everytime I’m back in town.

Probably one of the worst Chinese restaurants I have ever eaten in. Huge portions with food that is not fit to eat. The only good thing about the place is the service was very friendly.

Their sushi is awesome! I would definitely recommend the Spicy Cowboy Roll. So much yum! The only con is that they are always out of sweet tea. Every time I request it, they have the same response«Ummm, we are out.» No biggie! The food is too good to cry over the shortage of sweet tea!

Now I’m not Chinese so I’m not sure on the authenticity of the dishes but I love this place. A family friend invited us out to dinner to this place. Now there is a dot wo located at south okc on pen and 104th and we were confused as to why they would want to venture up north when there was one here. After experiencing the food here I could totally understand. We ordered some seafood soup and it looked kinda salty because of the soup being a soy sauce color but surprisingly it wasn’t. I ate my portion and my husband! We also ordered the roasted sea bass to get it crunchy and a tip is to order the sauce to be separated and then poured onto the sea bass to have the crunchiness still there. One dish that could have been improved was the Chinese broccoli… It was really wilted and I was most sad because that’s actually one of my favorite vegetables… Pro– not salty or greasy, beautiful interior, attentive staff Con– all the way on the north side(I live in south okc) so it’s a bit of a drive, wait was a bit longer than others but if you have friends and good conversations the time flies! If a group of us goes I’ll definitely go as well but if it’s just my husband and I probably not

I’ve been eating at Dot Wo since it was previously located on 23rd and Portland. The food is always delicious. The peking duck is top-notch! The salt and pepper tofu and anything that is listed as «salt and pepper» is always superb. The ambiance is nice as well. My only issue with the restaurant is the service. It’s just not consistent. Other than that, be prepared for a scrumptious meal… just don’t be surprised if your service is lacking.

I can’t be sure if quality has declined in recent months, or if my brain finally got through to my taste-buds and was like, «Hey you stupid taste-buds, this isn’t that good. Why did you think this was good?» Well whichever it is, I’m somewhat disappointed. And by somewhat disappointed I mean that I’m unlikely to return any time soon. Everything today had a spoiled, sour smell to it. It tasted okay, I guess? Well no, it didn’t. The Kung Pao Beef was so disappointingly unpleasant. The beef was bland. The vegetables were bland. The shrimp was bitter. The egg roll was fine. I’m pretty sure the same(sweet) base sauce is being used regardless of what you order. I’ll be honest though, I ate most of it. It was like one of those moments from my childhood where I was completely unhappy, but I could hear my mother yelling at me to finish my food. And there needs to be some clarity about what comes with what. Because the menu says one thing(e.g. meal comes with wonton, or fried shrimp, or rangoon, etc.) but you end up getting something else. But then you can’t find your server to ask them about it so you shrug your shoulders and you start eating, and then you’re sad, because… I don’t know, you’re just sad. I’m sad you guys. The thing is, it(the lunch menu) is really fairly inexpensive. The sub-par meal I had today only set me back $ 8-ish. That has to count for something right? Service is meh also. Not because anyone is unfriendly. It just feels like they’re overwhelmed, which translates into the staff seeming rushed, or forgetful. In summary, I would like to quote fellow Unilocaler, John D., «Dot Wo? More like Dot No.» Please make sure to direct compliments to him as appropriate.

Food: 5⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Décor & Style: 5⁄5 Excellent food: Peppered beef, orange chicken, lemon chicken, roast duck, combo fried rice, & large drink selection. I haven’t really tried much of anything else since I usually order my favorites. Large restaurant with nice décor, clean, and plenty of seats. Service is fast so this is my usual place if I want to grab quick Chinese. Overall good price as well.

Walked over from the hotel. Wasnt sure what i wanted, the menu didn’t help. The Very extensive selection makes indecisive folks like me anxious. I finally ordered the yellowFin hand roll. Very nice. Second i went with the green beans in black bean sauce. That was all i needed. They were excellent. The menu said it came with egg drop and i didn’t get it, but i didn’t make issue as i didn’t need it and my server was new. I would have gone harder and kept ordering, but I’m eating light these days. Nice tv viewing at the bar. I talked to a local waiting for take out and he said it’s one of the best Chinese/sushi in town. Over all this was a satisfying experience and i will probably be back. I recommend.

My first experience at this restaurant. My overall impression was positive. The décor was lovely, the bar well stocked and serving staff friendly. Main courses had a good quantity and were, for the most part well plated and displayed. I found the Hot and Sour soup to be neither hot(in temperature) to expectations nor as sour as I have been accustomed at other establishments. Where they fell down was in the little things. My fork was stuck to my napkin, one of my chopsticks had been broken at one end, the fried rice had clumps of white rice stuck to the spoon and one of the fortune cookie wrapper had been broken when it arrived to our table. Lastly, the crab rangoons were just stuffed with cream cheese. These few experiences distracted from what could have been a much more positive experience.

Not the best looking part of town, but definitely a gem once you step inside. There’s plenty of parking spaces as well as tables to sit at. This Dot Wo is decorated much fancier than its sister restaurants around town. The prices may be a little steep, but that comes with the atmosphere and great service. The service was always attentive and never bothered me while I was watching the TV or on my phone. When it comes to the food, I feel like this location has much better chefs. Sushi is always a gamble when in a non-ocean-side state, and Dot Wo’s sushi isn’t the best, but it tasted fine to me. I typically order the Chinese dishes, as that seems to be their specialty. My favorite dishes would be the garlic chicken, lobster and scallops, or combination fried rice. I’ve also had some of the baked sushi as well as a Philadelphia and spicy tuna roll. Nothing tasted/felt particularly«rubbery» to me, but it was on the pricey side, which is why I don’t order sushi. Stick to the Chinese cuisine and you’ll have a great time! I will definitely be coming back here for happy hours if I’m in the area.

My coworker and I ate here a week ago. The atmosphere was nice and we were anticipating good food. We ordered the rainbow sushi, sesame chicken, and an eggplant dish(I’ve forgotten the name, I’m sorry). The sushi was sub par and on the more expensive side. All tasted a little rubbery. Sesame chicken was a spicy version, which I liked. It was good but I got a chicken bone a couple times. The eggplant dish was swimming in oil and sauce. My coworker said she got super sick the day after from the oil. Overall, if I were forced to go back, I’d stick to the Chinese and forgo the sushi.

To start your meal — order the Vege Lovers Sushi A Vegetarian Delight!!! If you are Vegetarian — there is a section of the Menu for you — but why let that stop you! I look the whole menu over and decide what part of what looks good to me. I then asked the waitress if she could recommend how to piece the ones that sounded good to me together into a Vegan meal. And that she did. It was fantastic. So go where the bold and beautiful go — order your meal Off the menu — and when I say OFF — I mean OFF! Your taste-buds will thank you for being venturesome! And you will indeed be bold and beautiful!!! The kids — and this ‘old man — loves sitting at the tables with the food set in the middle and we can spin the whole dinner around and around and grab what looks like your taste-buds are screaming for! They like you to have at least four or more in your group to get to be at this wheel of fortune cookie table, so grab some extras — 5 or 6 and make a game night out of dinner!!!(Hope my wife doesnt read this– Ill be in trouble again!)

The décor was nice, The restaurant scene clean, and the staff was friendly but not informed on the happy hour times/prices. I only tried the sushi. The nigiri on the rainbow roll was just average — it really didn’t have that much flavor. I ordered the Geisha roll too. The tempura batter had an odd taste. Maybe it was old or maybe it was the batter itself. There was too much sauce on the roll. I read reviews about Monday half off sushi. When I arrived and asked the hostess, she said they no longer did that. When I sat down at the bar and asked the chef, he said he was new and didn’t know. Then, I asked my server — he said they weren’t doing it right now because they had a new sushi chef. Then, he said they were doing Monday but happy hour is from 3:30PM to 6:30PM. I asked him if I could just look at a menu for future reference(since I was getting multiple responses and it was 2pm). The menu prices indicated 3PM to 6PM however he said starting next week, they were going to change the hours from 3:30PM to 6:30PM. When in the area I’ll just go to Sushi Neko. Their food is pricey but always fresh and consistent.

I’ve been to this place a few times when I’m in town for work and have been pleased with both the food and the service each time. I deviated from my normal Kung Pao shrimp and got the curry shrimp tonight which was also very good, but wasn’t packing as much heat as I would have liked so I’ll probably go back on my next visit with Kung Pao. …and I won’t come here without getting their hot and sour soup which I love! My server tonight was extremely attentive, coming by more often than necessary to check my water glass. It did take a bit longer than I would have liked to have her initially approach my table but she made up for it afterward. All in all solid on food and solid on service — I would recommend Dot Wo!

I love Dot Wo for lunch, dinner, bar, sushi and take out. Dinner and take out the most. The menu is expansive and it makes me want to try All The Things. The server staff is pretty good and they honor the 10% off your meal Unilocal coupon which is awesome. They have made a nice atmosphere in their expansive dining area and I do like dining in. I like their orange sauce dishes-I would put that orange sauce on anything! Most recently we had an amazing meal here on Chinese New Year’s that was of epic proportions. Even when I run in five minutes before closing, begging for some takeout, they are always happy to oblige and stay open a few minutes longer to make it. And the food is just as good as any other time. I may have been guilty of doing this to them more than once.

Going up to 5 stars for good ol’ Dot Wo, now that they’ve had plenty of time to adjust to their new(huge) space, larger staff, bigger bar and just larger scale in general. I think anytime you grow like this, there will be some challenges, but it seems like that has all been overcome. The specialties are outstanding, and the Clay pots are among my favorite meals in town. The fried rice is outstanding, even though I rarely let myself get it. Last night we also had the egg rolls and the veggie tempura, which truly cannot be beat. And though this is some of my favorite take out, I also think it’s important to dine in once in a while — food temp and presentation are lost on you if you only ever come for takeout(something I am guilty of). Thankful the owners of Dot Wo worked so hard to get this larger location on par with the quality of food from the original. Fan for life!
