Very disappointed with the tasteless food. We ordered a calamari appetizer that was tasteless. We should have paid and tried another restaurant but we ordered dinner. Chicken that was dry and steak that was under cooked. Very expensive for the disappointment. Service was ok but in the end my wife clearly said«what a waste of money. »

It was delicious! Our server recommended the surf and turf available for limited time and what a delicious flavor that was. The staff was attentive and food although was a busy day came out fast! From the view to the breeze of eating outside the whole night was just perfect.

The service and food was excellent! I had their sushi for lunch which was fresh and a good portion. They also have a great selection of beers on tap. Overall, my experience at sea fresh was great.

My family and I like to frequent different establishment here locally in ojai. Today was just awful I cut up my steak ate a piece of it and it didn’t taste right, then as I got ready to get another piece I noticed there was paper wrapping still on the steak. The waitress was quick to apologize and offer to get me something else but I didn’t take her up on it because my stomach had already turned. The manager never came to the table and offered anything. Very poor management skills on his behalf.

Sea fresh has always been one of my favorite places to eat out in Ojai and on the top of my recommendation list. The food always tastes fresh, the chef seems very consistent. I love the location, and the outdoor seating is ideal on a nice day. The parking lot is small but street parking is never a problem. Prices are reasonable. The service could be a little better and friendlier but thankfully the great tasting food makes up for it.

Cioppino and Caesar salad were a masterful way to kick off 2016. This place is wonderful! Have them bring hot sauce for the soup.

We stopped in here for lunch while in Ojai. It’s a couple blocks up from that mall on the main road. My husband got the fish and chips and was happy with it– pretty much every fish place we go to, he gets fish and chips. I got the halibut and it was delicious. The outside of the place looks like a sort of upscale-ish Spanish restaurant, and the inside looks like a yo ho ho matey themed place.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid. Fish tacos were always my favorite until I started venturing into Sushi and other really tasty items on their menu. I have brought many friends & clients here for lunch meetings/appointments and always very good feedback! The new décor, bar & patio area looks amazing and the service is always friendly, professional & top notch! I’d you visit the Ojai Valley this is a must stop spot!

So, came here on a whim for a couple«happy hour» drinks after I dropped a friend off for a meeting. What happy hour drinks? The bartender, James, asked me what I would like to drink, I said«I will take a happy hour martini» and he poured me one, then another. When he dropped the bill, it turned out to be 21.50 for«happy hour»?! Are you serious? I clearly saw him pour stoli. After I received the bill, I asked him what the well vodka was, he said stoli. I see svedka vodka in the well and I was also charged for a stoli, call martini. A step above well. $ 10 bucks for a so called happy hour martini for a place that has 2 customers and 6 front of house staff members needs to really drive business a little better. That being said, I will not be coming back here. Being from Ojai and also owning a business, I will pass on the great service and communication I received here. This is a very small town, but, I am happy to say, there are still other restaurants in this small town that will satisfy my palate on any given day. Good luck sea fresh!

Very consistent and mid range priced food. Happy hour is great but you have to sit in a specific area which ends up being cold because it’s outside. One of the better affordable restaurants in Ojai.

My wife ordered a «House Favorite», the macadamia nut crusted Alaskan halibut with Thai peanut sauce which was amazing! I also had a «House Favorite», the parmigian crusted diver scallops with jalapeño aioli sauce which was also amazing! The clam chowder was also delicious. We did not care for the Boats of Bullets, which were tempura battered, deep fried, jalapeños stuffed with tuna and cream cheese. We felt the jalapeños should have been blanched before batter dipping and frying, it would have softened them up a bit so the peppers themselves wouldn’t be so crunchy and the tuna and cream cheese stuffing was plain and bland. BUT overall, the dinner was awesome and we will definitely be back for more!

Seafresh is family owned restaurant that came to fruition in 1985 and has been the mainstay for the Ojai Valley community ever since. While new restaurants come and go, it’s hard to break a tried and true following of local residents when they find something they love and Seafresh is one those places. Open for Breakfast at 8:30 am Sunday through Thursday, breakfast is served until 11:30AM, and they have your standard american breakfast fare, Waffles, pancakes, bacon & Eggs, or Steel cut Oats. The doors close at 9:00 Sunday through Thursday &10PM on Fri & Saturday. You will notice the large following as its rare this establishment has a lull in business, the restaurant itself would be considered small due to put on a waiting list, but all good things come to those that wait, correct? They offer Sushi, now don’t expect it to get to your table quickly as there is usually a waiting period as there is only one person doing the job for three, but when it gets to your table you can see the precision that went into his work and I’ve never left unsatisfied. They also offer a full bar, so if your hankering for a cocktail you’ve come to the right place. The seating are wood booths with padded seating, not the most comfortable but fits the sea food theme that is throughout the dining room. You also have the option of outdoor eating, and during the cold months you will be warmed by the standing heaters lamps. Nice place to take out of town guests, or your friends for a nice seafood dinner in Ojai.

Very surprised that this place wasn’t mediocre mi trang people food. The booze waz the delicious. Had about 7 rounds of the Hendricks gin drink. 3 rounds of the Old Fashioned. Bartender is a the real. The waitress was good too. Sat on the patio with our ferocious canine. Also almost got stung by about 9 bees and wasps. Sushi, man

We had a great time here. Our server was genuinely nice and I liked her. She also recommended BREADPUDDING for dessert and it was super good. Ambience was mellow, pet-friendly, warm and welcoming. The restaurant does look like a Spanish villa with wide terrace for dining. We had WASABI-SEAREDTUNAWITHHUSHPUPPIES, REDDRAGON, GRILLEDZUCCHINI and FRESH OYSTERS-all fresh and tasty! The specialty drinks that we got were also refreshing. I would try more sushi when I will be in the area again.

What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in a big way with everything else. The food and service are terrific. It’s reasonably priced for what you’re getting and the menu is extensive and wonderfully varied, whatever protein you’re looking for. We ordered shrimp cocktail and tuna sushi rolls to start. Both were delightfully generous in portion and perfectly fresh. First class tuna. The ahi tuna main course was delicate and perfectly cooked and excellent. The halibut was gorgeous, melt in your mouth heaven. There is a good selection of draft beers and a nice wine list. The service was friendly and attentive and not overbearing. Apparently the restaurant runs it’s own fishing boat in the bay, and the catch comes in directly daily. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you’re in the mood for a great seafood meal.

We had a friend in town last night and got to talking for so long it was 8:40PM when I realized we still hadn’t had dinner and I was starving! Most places in town close at 9PM and I think Sea Fresh might technically as well but I often see people eating there later, so we stopped in to see if they’d serve us. I asked if we were too late, with only 15 minutes to 9 and they said nope we were fine and they seated us right away. Despite being there so late, our server didn’t make us feel rushed at all. She had an exceptional attitude, was friendly and gave us good menu suggestions. My husband and our friend got fish entrées and I tried their shrimp teriyaki over rice. All of us liked our food. The garlic bread had HEAPS of garlic on it, unlike when I’ve gotten it here in the past. Overall, we had a very nice visit and I’m looking forward to my next one!

Came here with a big-ish group of people(about 12 of us) after a hike, and the staff didn’t even bat an eye. They took great care of everyone, even though we came in at staggered times. I got the shrimp po’boy(which was actually my first po’boy experience), and it was delicious. My husband got the fish tacos and enjoyed those as well. The only real complaint I have is that it was on the pricey side. The menu is pretty extensive, and there’s something for everyone, including people who are wanting steaks or sushi. There’s limited seating inside the restaurant, but the patio is a really nice place to sit. Leashed dogs are also welcome.
