One of the true treasures of the Ojai Valley. A wonderful space that hosts an eclectic menagerie of artistic wonders, great and small. You can go look at killer paintings, enjoy a fine night of community theater, listen to a hot band or some gorgeous chamber music or attend a dance class. You can go see a world-class photographer discuss his work. You can even get married here. I did.

wonderful theater just off ojai ave right in downtown ojai. the intimate little theater makes watching a show a pleasure — and so affordable. the direction, production, and dancing/singing were wonderful in carousel we saw. our 1st weekend getaway in ojai and i have to say it’s something i want to do everytime we return. love that you can meet the whole cast and crew afterwards– so many talented and beautiful young and older actors, but all seem to be so down to earth as part of this non-profit center vs typical hollywood types. snacks are only $ 1, wow, lots of parking. amazing restaurants just around the corner. what more can you want? hope to be back in the future to try the musical concerts in their outdoor patio area with comfy living room style seating.

The last two shows I’ve seen at this theater have been excellent. Great cast, well directed, and very entertaining. The Ojai Art Center is well-embraced by the town of Ojai, and for good reason. During the intermission, be sure to check out the artwork on display in the adjacent community room. It takes me over an hour to get to this theater — but it’s worth it for the beautiful drive up the 33(or the 150). If you get to Ojai early enough, I recommend you park your car in the lot across from the theater and walk up and down Ojai Ave to window shop, peruse the many art galleries, and/or enjoy a well-rated restaurant before the show.
