Great park! Two newer playgrounds with creative structures, a covered enclosed sand box with built in benches for parents, lots of shady areas, a few sets of swings… and th location is great! Right on Ojai’s main drag so walk to lunch or shopping when you’re done playing!

They’ve completely remodeled the playground and all the play equipment is brand new and cool. They have a swing set with an adult-sized swing, spinny things, a big jungle gym and they have a synthetic turf mini-hill you can roll down or slide down if you have a scrap of cardboard. How cool is that? Downsides — still have to watch out for dog poo on the grass and the park is pretty small. Located right down town though and a parking lot next to it that usually has open parking spaces.

Our family was staying at the KOA in Santa Paula and stopped in Ojai for a brief day trip. The park had been recommended since it had just been updated. The playground is great and my kids didn’t even play on everything available. The day we were there a gentleman was performing a free magic show and doing balloon animals for a $ 1 donation. We spent about 80 minutes there and our kids were not ready to leave. A favorite spot for them was the astroturf hill for sledding/snowboarding. There are plenty of scraps of cardboard around to share.

Nice little park on the main street of Ojai. Large green trees provided shade around a few tables. There is a play area for kids, tennis courts, and access to several walking paths. The wide paths are well paved for walkers, runners, and bicyclist alike and will take you all the way to Ventura beach. Nice park to relax, have a picnic, get crazy on the playground, or utilize the trails.

Ojai’s core park, and home of most Ojai events, like today’s Memorial Day weekend Art show. When there’s an event, it is fun to stroll under the oak trees on the wide pathways, enjoy the fountain, and wander out to the arcade for some shopping. Numerous trails lead into the park, and it adjoins the bike trail which goes all the way to Ventura’s beach. The fountain is lovely, there are flush toilets, a big playground and tennis courts. When there is no event, sometimes the park is overrun with homeless people, but it seems to have gotten better policed lately.

This is a really nice little park and playground in central Ojai. They’ve also got tennis courts and an amphitheater in the back. :)
