Nothing beats a small box store that has everything you need at a fair price.
Everyone there is friendly and helpful. No need to head down the hill and face the risk of being ignored or hearing «sorry, not my department» only to be deserted and left to your own devices (that could be dangerous for me).
Top-​notch hardware store.

My favorite store they have everything you need and they are so helpful. If they don’t have it they will get it for you. Their prices are very competitive too, saves you from going to ventura, LOVE IT

I’m pretty shocked I haven’t written a review about this store yet. I love this place. They have a good variety of stuff and I’ve found their employees to be not only easily available to help you but extremely knowledgeable about any house projects you may have questions on. In the rare case an employee doesn’t know about my particular project, they quickly find someone who does.
I come here when I want good service, helpful floor-​staff and good selection of projects. It’s close to my home and their hours are okay. Highly recommended!

There are some very nice people who work here. Someone always comes over and asked if you need help. If you need a special order it might be a different experience. I was shuffled out with a promise of a call the next day since the guy wanted to go home. He never called. I went to my old local hardware store tpand they had what I needed right then and there.

LOVE this store!!! They have an amazing selection of just about everything you need from a hardware store. Competitive prices and a knowledgeable, personable, professional sales staff that is always eager to help. I couldn’t believe their prices were every bit as good as the big box stores. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, be sure to ask because they just might have it in the back.

Meiners Oaks Ace is one of the best hardware stores I know of. Their prices are comparable to a big box store, but with all the service of a home town hardware store. They have a decent selection and if they don’t have it they can order it for you. You can just about always find a store owner present, and if you are lucky enough to be there at the right time, you may even get to try some of Betty’s baked goods.
If I have a choice where to buy a product, I just about always choose Ace over Lowes or Home Depot, because I know the price will be decent and the customer service is always superior.
By the way, Cuba D.‘s review is mistaken. Ace is NOT Coast to Coast. Coast to Coast was a completely different store, which is now True Value. Also a good hardware store, but they have a gun department instead of a lumber department which is good when you need ammo, but not as usefull when you need full on building materials. I shop at both, but more often at Ace.

Ace Hardware, aka Coast to Coast hardware, is one of 3 main hardware stores in the area. Each has its own focus.
I love this store because it has a bit of everything. I even get my fishing license here along with some tackle.
They have one of the best selections of stainless steel fasteners. And some really small sizes that I don’t often need, but I know where to find them.
The staff is very friendly and always offer to help me find what I need.
The prices might not beat the warehouse stores, but I like that its close by and I can actually find what I need, and the prices are reasonable.
This place reminds me of the hardware stores I went to with my dad when I was a kid. Like B&B in L.A. Classics in their own right.

Very helpful staff. They carry a lot of American made goods, and for such a small store, they have had everything I’ve looked for. They also have a great selection of lumber in a lot across the street.
