I like this place because of one how nice everyone is, but because of the many different shakes that are really good. They have great onion rings and fries as well as chicken fingers!

Went here because we drive by all the time and the asthetic of the drive in was great. We chose to go in the diner which we found the staff very friendly and kind. The food was not blowing my skirt up. The double bacon cheese burger patties amounted to one thin patty at best. The bacon was thick and okay but there was nothing about my meal that makes me think I’ll go back any time soon. Maybe the shakes are better but I didn’t care to try it after my disappointing meal. Filled me up but that was it.

Good food, slow service, high prices. We go often for the soft serve ice cream. It’s a good deal and they always have a feature flavor that’s pretty unique.

We stopped here in our way through Ogden and thought the old school feel would equal great food. False! The food was not good, WAY overpriced, and the shakes were disappointing. The beef on out burgers was about 1⁄8 pound and cooked to a crisp. The fries were stale as well. So sad!

Childhood burger joint that still doesn’t disappoint! Ya know when you try things from your childhood and your like, why did I ever like that? Not at Kirt’s! Their cheeseburgers are BOMB! Fries are BOMB! Shakes are BOMB! Slushies are BOMB! Ice cream cones BOMB! Banana split BOMB! Shrimp basket BOMB! I could go on like this but I’m guessing you get where I’m going. It’s so good! Super old school, the movie, You Drive Me Crazy, was filmed here which is cool. Kirt is a great guy. If you want a burger, go here!

This place is a perfect example of a restaurant that has been owned and ran too long buy a complacent Owner it is nothing more than nostalgic at this point ordered a fish and chips 3 pcs combo for 11 dollars after waiting 10 min I went up and picked up my order and as I went to turn away I saw the grocery store bought frozen fish and then I asked for another tarter sauce(they gave me one literally the size of a sacrament Cup) the owner said that they are expensive and wanted 50 cents each time to turn the reigns over

It took one hour to get four ice creams and two fries. The ice cream was mostly melted and the fries were limp. Thanks for nothing.

I’ve been eating at Kirt’s for over 20 years now. I was there just today and enjoy taking the family in to one of a few remaining old fashioned places around. That’s why it’s such a disappointment to have to give a bad review. I only do so with the hope that someone running that joint will read these and make positive changes. Generally speaking the food is standard, in most cases like burgers and fries. However, it shouldn’t be very difficult to make something as simple as a grilled cheese on white bread look appealing or even taste remotely fresh by the time it makes it to your car. Grilled Cheese: Just make it hot and fresh. Mushroom and Swiss: Who in their right mind would add lettuce, fry sauce(and I love me some fry sauce), and pickles to a mushroom n swiss burger? That is the only way to ruin it and make it an abomination of a hamburger with no real identity. It’s just a smorgasburger at that point. Take a tip from good ol McD’s, while their food isn’t real they’ve at least got the concept and decency to present a proper sandwich to the consumer. There’s nothing to the recipe; Bun, Burger, Mushrooms, Swiss, Mayo. That’s it!!! And lastly, not that I mind, but it’s kind of funny that every time I come there at least two servers show up to my car with someone else’s order with a look of bewilderment as to which car placed the order. Isn’t there a tracking board or system of sorts inside? I’ll be back though, whether you guys ever figure this out or not. Here’s to the future of Kirt’s! Cheers!

Tired of drive thru, but not quite willing to go in and eat? Kirt’s has the answer for you! This place has been going forever. That doesn’t happen by accident. Basic burger variations, fantastic shakes, and a decent kid menu make it an ideal pit stop. Attire doesn’t matter as you dine comfortably in your car. They have fantastic chicken strips. Not sure why, but they are really good. You have to try a shake as well! The only caution is to watch your side mirrors. This place was built before mondo SUVs and the spots can be a little tight.

I grew up in the North Ogden area, so Kirt’s is very nostalgic and brings back a lot of memories. BUT… the food isn’t that great anymore.(I wonder if it’s because they have gone down hill or as I’ve gotten older my tastes have changed) The last time I ate there the wait became intolerable. I had an hour for lunch and ended up leaving without lunch because they couldn’t get a hamburger, fries and a shake out to me in time for me to be back to work. I’m also leery about the conditions in the kitchen. It was pretty gross.

This place has really good food and even better shakes! I have tried basically everything on the menu at least once and love basically everything. The cheeseburgers are very tasty, something about the flavor of the bun, burger, and sauce give it a unique taste. The shakes and specialty drink are always a good option. The fry sauce is homemade and has a unique flavor and the footlong The only three negative things I can say is that is on the higher end of price, the salads are just the same shredded lettuce they put on the burger and it takes awhile to get your order. However, they make everything when you order it so I am willing to wait, just be aware if you are in a hurry. I recommend trying something new every time you go. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars and the reason I don’t go there more often is because of the price.

Kirt’s Family Drive Inn has been serving up hamburgers, fries and shakes for MANY years. Although it hasn’t always been known as Kirt’s, this old fashioned diner has been around since the 1950s. They have drive-up lanes out front and a small indoor seating area as well. There’s lots of neon outside the building and with the carhops running back and forth to the cars it has a great nostalgic feel. But how was the food? It was pretty good actually. My bacon cheeseburger was well prepared and tasted great. My mom had some good fish and chips. Unfortunately the fries weren’t very good, but maybe they weren’t fresh… I’m not sure. And for desert my Oreo shake was yummy! If you’re in the mood for a burger and fries or feeling nostalgic, stop in at Kirt’s and give it a try.

I have been coming here for years. It is very nostalgic for me, but even when I take new people they thoroughly enjoy it. They have great shakes and great food. It takes some time so be sure you aren’t in a major rush. UPDATEDON10÷15÷13: If the girls working are out picking up garbage off the parking lot on windy days, they should probably wash their hands before handling food and drinks. We witnessed this happening except no hands were washed. Not a deal breaker, but something that should probably be taken care of.

The chickwiches are very good. I get them every time. I think they put a drug in the sandwich to made it extra tasty. I don’t get much else here besides the rootbeer floats because it does feel like they nickel and dime you for everything. I popped my tire in their drive through when I was 16. That memory doesn’t allow me to give more than 3 stars.

Yummy good place but sometimes it takes along time to get the food. They have great peach shakes and root beer ice cream cones. The mood here is really good and has a good vibe. Their onion rings are good too.

Go for the ice cream. Not the food. Burgers are pretty dry and grody, but the ice cream is top notch. Get a root-beer freeze! It could use a different floorplan inside to make ordering easier.

Overpriced and the quality continues to go downhill. There have been statements made regarding food prep practices that are now keeping me away.

Stopped by with my wife and teenage girls after a junior high basketball game. It’s what I expect from a traditional small town feel drive in/burger joint. Yes the burgers are frozen patties that are pressed a little too much while cooking. It did leave them a little dry but I had the mushroom swiss burger and the juicy mushrooms and swiss, plus sauce left the burger juicy enough for my taste. The salad my wife ordered was a little lack luster but it’s not what this place specializes in. Specialty drinks like the lime ricky were a hit with my girls and the shake selection looked great although we did not try one. Standard fries and mass produced onion rings with fry sauce rounded out our meal. It was good and a nice break from the fast food norms. I’m sure I’ll be back, but I won’t be going out of my way for it. Cool building and it has old style car service as well.

The burgers are from frozen patties, not a winner for me. The fries are also from from the freezer. If I wanted all frozen items I should have gone to McDonalds down the street. If the tried fresh ground meat and fresh cut fries, it might go over better. They do have good shakes! It has such a cool 50’s style drive in atmosphere.

i hope kirt’s drive-inn and jeff and connie stowe live forever. this burger joint is a north ogden institution and possibly one of the only reasons one should ever travel north of salt lake city. kirt’s is required eating whenever i’m home for a visit. the trifecta: a cheeseburger, an order of fries with fry sauce, and a root beer freeze to wash it all down(and to dip my fries in). drool. so good.
