Pop N Pita’s

Ok so I saw this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try well not bad. My husband ordered a beef and lamb pizza that was hugh and very chessy that tasted good the sauce is kinda sweet and not too overpowering. I ordered a classic beef gyro that was wonderful I would definitely be back for the food. Only complaint is the drink situation the have cans only and I can normally drink two so a fountain drink machine would be nice since the cans are almost 3 bucks.

Finally! Cuisine in Odessa that doesn’t come from a Sysco truck! Great experience, great food (we tried the chicken gyro, gyro calzone, spanakopita, and baclava), very friendly staff. The gal at the front counter even called the owner regarding allergens for us — above and beyond helpful! We will return!

BEST Authentic Greek Gyro I had, outside of major cities with large Greek populations. I also tried their meat Dolma and Falafel and those were very very very tasty! I can see myself coming here everyday if I was leaving in Odessa. And btw I have tried all Gyros in Midland and Odessa area and there is just no reason to go anywhere else but Pop ‘n Pitas for a Gyro.

Awesome, the gyro fries are amazing. If you want something different from the typical West Texas cuisine, get in here.

So if you haven’t given this place a go, I highly recommend it. I had a gyro and some falafel from this place and all I can say is I’m instantly hooked. Odessa doesn’t have many splashes of exotic food, but this is one of them that won’t do you wrong. It’s really a mom and pop shop, so it feels good to eat at. I honestly think I have found a new place to visit often.

I’ve tried this place about 3 times. I pretty much order the same thing every time and every time the food either tastes different or watered down and it’s never the same. I ordered the gyro fries and sometimes it has meat, sauce, tomatoes with it, and times it was just fries and meat. Very inconsistent. Also, they charge me differently every time. I know it’s a new place but get it together. I also found white hair in my food. Will not support or go here anymore.

Delicious food and fast service, will definitely make this place a regular spot to visit!

Gave this place a shot for some dinner last night based off a friend’s recommendation. I wasn’t disappointed by any means.
I called in around 8:45pm and made a take out order. I was told that the food would be ready in about 5 minutes and they weren’t lying! I walked in and my order was sitting on the counter waiting for me. The smell inside was absolutely amazing (literally had my mouth watering before ibwalked through the door).
The staff there was more than polite, they even explained to me the different styles of gyros they had. One of my favorite things to do when going to a new restaurant is ask for the cashiers opinion on their favorite food. I was recommended the Greek style gyro (obviously with lamb). The flavor in the food here was astonishing. Feta fries here are also a good little snack. I’m not a small guy and 1 gyro was more than enough to fill me for a meal.
It’s been 1.5 days since my first time trying this place and I’ve eaten there twice already haha. Not too sure on the service if you are eating there but judging by the staff that I did interact with, I’m sure it is more than enjoyable. I can’t wait to see this place develope even more!

This is the first time I have tried this place because it is fairly new. My beef and lamb gyro was very tender and delicious. I came after 1pm and did not have any wait at all. I defiantly recommend this place and I will be coming back soon.

Absolutely in love with this restaurant! Although they are newer to the area they will soon be packed every night! The hospitality of the owners was beyond what we would expect in town and the food surpassed every expectation we had! The beef and lamb gyros were amazing along with the small order of falafel we ordered. And you can’t go wrong with an order of baklava! Can’t wait to come back here!
