I LOVE MUDDY POTTER! I went through a few months when I was unemployed about four years ago and I practically lived here. The owner Lisa taught me how to throw pottery. I hadn’t done it since high school and she has such a gift for teaching and bringing out your creative side. Before I knew it I had thrown several huge beer steins, several cigar ashtrays, some decorative plates, a sangria pitcher and a ton of other knick knacks. I gave most of them as gifts which my family and friends still cherish to this day. It usually takes about one visit to create the pottery, then one visit to glaze or paint it. Then you have to pick up your piece. That’s the only downside: no immediate gratification. But the feeling of creating your own pottery from scratch is like no other! Definitely a bucket list thing for everyone and you will likely find yourself hooked. Plus, Lisa is a hottie! Not that it matters but it doesn’t hurt :) I would recommend getting some friends together and bringing cocktails and scheduling an evening thing after work.
