Kmart

Friendly store, very clean and well organized. I’m impressed. Employees greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. Nice touch. They really had a lot of appliances, too.

The lines are ridiculously long. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve just left my stuff in the cart and walked out.

Kmart. It is not surprising you are going out of business. We bought rain suits at one Kmart. Realized it was the wrong size. Tried to return it to a different store and they would not take it. One week later. Receipt with it. Package not opened. They said they dont carry that one. We gad other shopping but we left. I will drive the 10 minute to Walmart. People complain about Walmart but they would return my item.

At least Kmart is consistent! All 1-​star reviews! They earned mine for a 40 minute wait to check out when there was only one person in front of me. It took a long time in the checkout line then they sent me to the service desk to get a gift card that was part of a promotion and that filled out the rest of the 40 minutes.

I opened my Unilocal today to write a review for Kmart and to give them a one star. Upon doing so, I noticed all of the other one star’s for this location. Well, my review my be redundant, but here goes. I typically shop at Target in Delafield. Every once in a while, I am forced to go to Kmart if I need something quick and can’t make it in to Delafield. Dirty store. Employees are often in foul moods. Check out rows are super narrow and hard to get through. Why, oh, why do I continue to give them another chance? Never again. Not worth it.

Terrible customer service. I would gladly pay more money elsewhere, than to ever shop at this store again. Rude, incompetent people at the service desk. I had a baby outfit that was a gift, to even exchange for another size. It was their Wonder Kidz brand. They would not allow me to even exchange without the receipt, because they didn’t know how much I paid for it. I said it shouldn’t matter, if all I want is a larger size of the same thing. They refused. Stick with Walmart or Target.

Surprised every time I see that it is still open. Pretty much a dump inside and out. Stick with Walmart and Target.

Oconomowoc Kmart… you consistently disappoint me, but this time it’s just too much. I have to relay my experience here as I honestly feel this was something that was NOT on the up and up.
I remember when this store went up — how clean and nicely kept it was in the early days (80’s — early 90’s). Upon setting foot in here recently, I found it to be a dingy and dismal shell of it’s former «Big K» self.
I recently stopped here with my sister and my niece. She was going back to school and was looking to get a few school supplies. She was also going to pick out a new doll. (Side note: apparently «Monster High» is the new thing, like Barbies. Zombie Barbies.). Upon the last visit she saw the one she really wanted and was missing from her collection. My sister agreed to advance my niece some money on her allowance so she could purchase it there. To my niece’s dismay, upon taking it up to the register, the clerk swiped it away and told her it ‘wasn’t for sale.’ There was no sign, no sticker, it was all in the original packaging. In short, there was NOTHING stated on the shelving or packaging that would indicate otherwise. We went back to look on all the shelves to see if there was possibly still one there, but there wasn’t.
Upon investigation, I found out this particular doll was going for a lot of money on eBay. Apparently if you can find one, they’re going for $ 200.00+. So — did the clerk have an ulterior motive? My personal opinion is she wanted to stash it away to buy when she got off work, so she swiped it when she saw someone trying to buy it.
Apparently, if you try to buy something at the Oconomowoc Kmart (at least something that is shipped out to select stores), you still don’t get a chance at buying it unless you work there.
Enough is enough. I won’t come here again unless I have to. It’s horribly unethical to pull that kind of crap, let alone on a sweet kid who saved up her allowance money. (yes, I’m biased but you have to admit this is total BS). This was tough to explain to her. What the hell, Kmart?!

Horrible customer service. Never enough employees working. customer service desk refused to check me out.17 minutes later I left the store. 5 deep on 2 registers and checkers that were slower than turtles. Nice checker, just as slow as it got. Try to support local business. Not happening here

I’ve experienced better department stores, but this was the only one local to our stay. I found only 20% of what I was looking for based on my shopping list. Oh well. If you need basic survival items, only, this is the place to come to!
