Chef Daniel’s creations are not only delicious but also gorgeous! I am a sushi snob and can confidently say Chef Daniel prepares fresh, excellent sushi in all styles-usuzukuri, nigiri and maki. You must also have the Brussels sprouts! Great sake selection too! The atmosphere is nice and cozy with a cool eclectic flair. Love this place! I have been twice and plan to go back regularly.

Waited on pins & needles for this place to open. Kept walking by & looking in the window. I was so happy when they opened on Cyber Monday & my patience was greatly rewarded with the first bite. This is my go to place for comfort food as I grew up eating Japanese flavored food. Chef Daniel is amazing & his artist like plating is as much of a joy of the eyes as the flavor on your tongue. Daniel’s sidekick Louie comes up with amazing flavor combinations that will amaze you. If you’re looking for authentic flavors you must come try this place out. The quaint restaurant is relaxing & very enjoyable you won’t be disappointed.

We came here to celebrate a friends birthday because we all LOVE sushi and we were blown away by the quality of the food. We started with the pork belly, which was delicious. Then we chose some rolls that sounded appetizing. When the Volcano roll arrived it was flaming! The presentation was gorgeous and it tasted even better. We ended up having 2 Volcanos that night. We also had a dragon roll(I think that’s the name) which was the mens favorite. Overall we loved all of the rolls and we were impressed by the quality and presentation as well. We can’t wait to return and see what more offerings they have as they expand their menu.

I go to other sushi restaurants occasionally. They are always o.k. However, this place is excellent. Their sushi is very fresh with a variety. The plate presentation is also more elaborate and decorative than other places. The dragon roll which actually looks like a dragon is a must try. Although, Brussels sprouts are normally terrible their Brussels sprouts appetizer is also one of their items that you must try!

One of the best sushi places I have been to, Chef Daniel is a true master at his craft. I have eaten at a lot of sushi places across the U.S. and this place is in my top five. As anyone knows if you like sushi you leave it in the hands of the chef and that is what I did, unbelievable experience! I started with the octopus and conch salad, very fresh. I also tried the salad roll, awesome! Then had the tuna sashimi, very addictive and super fresh. I can easily see my self be coming a regular there. Stop by you will not be disappointed.

I was here with my teenage daughter and we loved the food. We had the Kimchi octopus salad, shrimp tempura and California all so good. Very attentive service. Can’t wait to visit again. 2nd visit and everything so good. Had sashimi platter, tuna Kurakka and coconut ice cream… so good

Don’t judge a book by its cover! You could never imagine what they offer inside this neighborhood Japanese restaurant by the look of the comparably plain exterior. I love the contemporary décor with the cozy ambience that made me feel relaxed and ready for my glass of wine as soon as I walked in. The staff seems green but the friendly smile and patience made up for the lack of experience. Menu items are limited but already covered all areas of Japanese fusion cuisine. Love the mixed texture of crispy outside and smoothness inside wrapped with tasty eel as the chef special Unagi Tofu. Hope that they could make it as a permanent menu item. Kimchi salad comes in a good portion for sharing with great combo of octopus, conch, cucumber, etc, especially for the $ 9 price. I tried the«Fire Cracker» as cold tapas and they did the yellowtail sashimi perfectly with the truffle oil. I don’t like how some other restaurants cut the yellowtail too thin and they got totally masked by the sauce. For hot plate, I ordered the braised pork belly and was impressed by the tenderness of the meat. The orange Ginger cinnamon spice has taken away all the greasiness from the fatty part of the pork and this is another good plate for sharing. In addition, I really enjoyed having real snow crab meat for my Alaskan roll instead of imitation crab meat which is totally worth the extra dollars. I was mostly impressed by the quality of the sashimi. Common items like tuna and salmon taste not so common– you could taste the freshness. Squid has the perfect chewy texture that can satisfy even the most demanding guest. You must try the perfectly sliced scallop sashimi while appreciating the chef’s expert slicing skills. If you are lucky, they may even have«edible luxury» uni sea urchin available. I ordered uni sashimi and it was beautifully served on its own spiky shell. For dessert, green tea cheesecake was awesome in both texture and taste. Overall, this is a small restaurant with fabulous food and good potential.

This place was a huge disappointment. We were anxiously waiting for this place to open for some time, but I did not realize«waiting» would be the theme here. They have brought some Nice new decorations and a great renovation compared to what was here before. Unfortunately their food still needs some work. It seemed like someone was burning everything in the kitchen, and I had to send back gyoza that tasted like charcoal. For some reason the udon I ordered stumped the kitchen as all I smelled was more burning and no food. After 30 minutes of being told«they are cooking it now», i gave up and asked for the check. You would think an owner/manager of a new establishment would have come over, but not here. There are much better Japanese places in the area. Perhaps this place still has some growing pains but I will not be back.

Such an attentive and friendly staff. Our sushi tasted very fresh and delicious. The chef personally brought us a tuna appetizer that was spectacular. They were also willing to make whatever the customer asked for even if it wasn’t on the menu. I would definitely come back here. I would actually like to see their menu expand a little more.

A neighborhood gem. Its located a few doors down from Publix on Maguire. Service was decent. Sashimi was on point. Décor was nice. Everything was great. We definitely enjoyed our dinner. It is a little on the pricey side for the rolls, most of them are over $ 10. Not complaining though, its worth it. I am hoping that they would be expanding their menu in the future. More Izakaya, rice dishes, etc.
