This company is very professional. We chose the middle river section at 11:00 am. They give you complete instructions and a training video before hitting the river. A bus will take you to the river from the outpost. 6 people per raft is the norm. The guides are entertaining and keep you laughing. The river can be intense at a couple of places, depending on where you sit in the raft. Tickets are around $ 50.00 per person, which is cheap, for a full day of fun. They have T-shirts, sunglasses, and other items in their outpost for purchase. Restrooms are available for changing before and after rafting. Wear shorts and sunscreen. :)

Great Place & great guides. A little tricky to find, but just follow the sound of the banjos. Seriously, you will know what I’m talking about once you drive there.

Could not have asked for a better experience. «Cornbread», Tanner, and Tom were our guides and were extremely knowledgeable about the river and were very safety conscious throughout the trip. NOC is a little more expensive than some of the others, but well worth it. We did the full river trip, which includes the upper and the middle course. Tom was our kayaker who rode along with our rafts the entire way as an extra safety precaution in case someone went overboard. I cannot wait to book our next rafting trip and would not think of using another company other than NOC!

Coming from Boston, some friends and I decided to try white water rafting while visiting Atlanta/Chattanooga. I’ll have nothing but fond memories of this experience. The prices were reasonable. The guides were great. The facilities were nice. Nobody died. Plus — we learned what a butt damn was(yeah, it’s exactly what it sounds like…). There are a lot of different rafting companies in that area. If/when I make a trip back south and plan to do some rafting, it’ll definitely be with NOC again.
